- I'm donning my best suit, polishing my boots & riding to meet 165 other motorcyclist's on their stunning machines in Leicester for a massive turn out. Thousands of motorcyclist's from around the world will also 'ride out' dressed dapper in their respective cities. 'Movember' has been the official charity partner of ''The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride'' since 2016. Both organizations share a simple goal:
Bring people together and change the face of men's health.
Funds raised by The DGR help to power 'Movember’s work across two of the most complex issues facing men around the globe: Prostate cancer and Mental Health.

Men's Mental Health: Starting conversations with men who are struggling may seem daunting. But getting them to open up can be easier with practice. Movember has built an online conversation simulator called Movember Conversations to help give you the confidence to talk with men who may be struggling. Last year in 2023 over 107,000 dedicated gentlefolk (men & women) from over 100 countries and 890+ cities around the world, united for their common goal to raised a record £5.8 million in funds for prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

There was an unbelievable mix of bike types there, I've never seen such a large turn out! Even the added mix of car types at Mallory made it even more interesting along with the American classics. Thank you for you're comment Wayne.
Well done for this a wonderful video of the event and I’d say the best also for capturing and reminding people what the event is about and why it is so important.

Yes it really was a super day, A great video of Leicester's DGR.
I think it was the best ride to date for Leicester & the sun shined all day! As soon as the organisers release the results worldwide I'll update how Leicester faired. Thanks for you're kind comment Sandy.
@@DazmatronMotorcycleTrips There were still a fair few back at the bricklayers after Mallory. I seen you whet off to Triumph factory, Maybe next year ill go as I've never been. Fantastic weather we were really lucky.
@@sandysanderson8588 I wanted to indulge in both events, the 1st ride to Mallory was very well organised & was tremendous seeing people come out of their houses to wave. Mallory was a great location with lot's of other things going on such as the stall's, American vehicles & Huggies Speed Shop. I was disappointed the ride didn't visit Triumph so decided to pop there to get a taste. By the way if you have never been Triumph have bike night's on the 2nd Wednesday of every month through the summer.
@@DazmatronMotorcycleTrips Yes just heard about them, Yes there's lots going on in Leicestershire as a biker this season. I think that the factory was out the route is year is to let the other rides get in. 🏍
@@sandysanderson8588 Birmingham, Tamworth & Wellingborough attended I think. I only heard that Leicester put there application in late to attend but that wasn't through a confirmed source. There is a capacity limit at Triumph so perhaps they were giving other citiesa chance to visit?
Super turnout for funding for the research into mens health. Getting checked early can save lives as my friend found out , after surgery he is well and clear from cancer.
Thanks Patricia, it certainly put's the biking community on the map for worthy causes. Last year the total figures were a record 106 thousand riders, riding in 893 cities in 107 countries around the world. I'll be eager to see 2024's results I think it'll be another record breaking year! I'm so pleased you're friend got checked early & is now all clear. Daz.
