Glad you liked it! Hope to see ya make it to a show sometime; it's even better in person! They didn't come out of nowhere. Sure, they don't have big hits, but they have been selling out Madison Square Garden in about 20 minutes since 1995. They were doing festivals with no other acts in the middle of nowhere, playing to like 100,000 people in the 90s, too. Also, their fans are very passionate about them; they make Swiftes look normal. (For those festivals, most of the people spent over 5-15 hours in the car to go)
I absolutely love this band and watching you experience this for the first time just put a huge smile on my face. I hope you stay on that train and keep listening.
The thing about Phish, for me anyway, is that they HOLD UP. I saw them in 93' when I was 14 and was gobsmacked. I still go to see them and they're still just as incredible, but I'm a little more sober!
Phish Left to Right on stage: Paige McConnell-Keyboards and Vocals, Trey Anastasio-Guitar and Vocals, Mike Gordon-Bass and Vocals and Jon Fishman-Drums and Vocals. The band formed at the University Of Vermont back in the 1980's. They have been making music and touring ever since. One of the greatest LIVE bands ever to walk on a stage. Seen them ten times, they never disappoint. Fifth member is Lighting Director Chris Kuroda, aka CK5, THE BEST in the business.
@@Seth-t8s Um, sorry Seth, but that is very, very wrong. While Phish were influenced by the Grateful Dead, their music is COMPLETELY different from The Dead's. It is "jammy", but Phish means every note they play in a jam, the Grateful Dead are FAR more improvisational and free flowing. I saw the Grateful Dead about 50 times, and Phish about 10 times, the "Phish Heads" were trying very hard to be Dead Heads, but I can assure you, it is not the same. Also, the Grateful Dead ARE the best LIVE band EVER. Seen about 500 total shows, lots of major bands, The Dead were the Kings of Live. LOL.
@@Seth-t8s what a ridiculous characterization. As someone who’s seen thousands of bands, Phish for sure puts on one of the best live performances humanly possible. Even people who don’t like the music leave saying, “damn, they’re amazing at what they do”.
OK! to start off with, I love First Tube. With that being said, I think phan could’ve chosen a much much much much much much much much much much much much better song, or at least rendition of this song to get her lubricated into Phish.
I'm glad you enjoyed this. Great introduction to phish. Keep listening, there's no shortage of videos to watch/listen. "Fluffhead" - might be tough to get through at first listen, but it's worth it. It's worth it. "Possum" - just dance "Divided Sky", someone else mentioned "You Enjoy Myself", oh, and there is "Roggae", of course, if you're looking for something chill that builds..... ua-cam.com/video/JkSwqry8Cy0/v-deo.htmlsi=5w_isnmevAWHiK2S You'll figure it out from there 😄✌️
Lol it's an 8 minute version. There are limited options with good sound and video. Most people don't know the subtleties of the song and this one is a high energy rager. She's unlikely to be doing 30 min Tweezer reactions.
@@AndrewJDuddy first tube was def a perfect track after the Most Events energy had her flying! I was just surprised how messy this thing was! Is this that 12/4/09 one?? I remember obsessing over it back then…
@@FlowerSupply420its from 2011. Im not a big fan of 2009 range stuff but this one had great video that would not get flagged by Phish. So there are surely better versions but not with video. Any other great versions you know LMK i will listen for sure
"I want to be there!" is exactly the response I had, too.

Come to a show. It’s a connection to the divine.
They're a fine tuned music making machine firing on all cylinders.
Your reactions are priceless and wonderful. I hope you can attend a Phish show in the near future. Every show is unique and joyful. Welcome aboard!!
Several times during this song they are playing 5, simultaneous, different time signatures.
There is a lot of cross over between Phish Heads and Dead Heads. Some rivalry too!!!
Very similar audience! I love both!!!❤👌👍✌️😁
Keep up the hippie rock & your channel will grow 💯
Phish is as good of a live experience as there ever was.🎶🎶🎵🎶🔥💯✌️☮️🕊️🇺🇸

Thanks for doing this from my request! Love this version because lights are great and not too long for newer people. Dancing along with you from home.
WE DO MAKE A BIG DEAL OF THEM! Thanks for sharing. Love the few reactions I have seen. I will be following for more!
The thing is they're never on the radio and most people don't have the patience to listen to a 10 minute song develop.
I spent twenty years touring with this band, over 140 shows. Glad to see someone react to it!

I've watched this 10 times because it's so joyful. Our happiness is has always been their goal.🎉
That was the most Genuine reaction I've ever seen to this band. I was riding that tune right along with you. That was fun 🙂
I'm pretty sure "you get it" with Phish! Welcome... welcome!😊😊😊😊😊

Their lighting engineer Chris Kuroda has been with them for 35 years and is considered the 5th member of the band.
I love the way you love music !!
It is very difficult to see them live and not be grinning from ear to ear :)

Please let me recommend You Enjoy Myself from 1992-96.
Yes. 6/11/94 would be ideal!

Is this 09? This thing is a wreck. Like all reactors, this lovely soul will burn out quickly if she doesn’t have a good Sherpa guiding her.
