This is very cool. Have you considered linking the pedals together? My daughter teaches grades 2 & 3. I'm building some things for her music class. My version of your suit case drums will be added in the fall. I'm adding some electronic peaces to keep everything small such as symbols. Thankyou for a great post Sir. I am now a subscriber. God bless.

Good ol engineering. So cool to 'tune' the kick.

Warwick from Wazinator Australia here. We make a suitcase kick drum pickup system called the Wazinator Zombie.
I'm wondering if I could send you one to try out? thanks

I'm currently building g one of these myself. How did you add the drum head to the suitcase?

Here is the link to part 1 which should answer the question, forgive the upside down segments

I can’t find your part 1 to this video? The link you replied to says it’s private. I’m trying to build one with a drum head on it and looking for ideas.

Cool. Great ideas and thanks. Say, what's the white head you hit the tambourine against at the end of the video? edit, oh I get it I just watched the video prior to this, that answers my question. ua-cam.com/video/YNqkzqHHDbY/v-deo.html
