I have a suitcase kit... my solution for the handle rattle..... I put my sweat rag through the handle.... It is easy access for when I need it and it stops the rattle. Your mileage may vary!

One thing that might be kinda cool - if you used a roto tom/ roto toms off the suit case. You'd have a decent sound that wouldnt drown out the kick and they're small. Also easy to move and weigh less. Thanks for the awesome videos!

I saw a guy play at the rangers ballpark in dallas with a flight case as his kick, it may have been like an old fiber trunk and that thing sounded huge! I ended up meeting the guy and he said he broke through the 'head' on the suitcase so they ended up mounting on some plexi glass, man that thing sounded bigger than any drumset I've heard

awesome. I didn't know if I would like all of the metal on the bottom, but it turned out great. what's awesome is if the hinges start to fail or make noise you could remove them and put a weld on continuous piano hinge. I'm really looking forward to the next one. Have you heard of anyone using these kits with triggers possibly on the kick?

I tried the pink ball thing in the beginning but really didn't like the tone. I made a beater out of those foam gym mats. I cut three layers of about 1/4" gym mats, made them circular and then stacked them on top of each other. They had a good, wet, "thump" rather than a "thwack" when I'd hit the case. Only bad thing was that I had to replace it every few months, but it sounded great. I love the idea of the steel at the bottom. I wish I'd done that with mine.

place velcro on the handle and the top of the suitcast it can stick to it when u arent using it to carry the thing. I would put the scratchy side of the velcro tape on the suitcase so it doesnt irritate ur hand when u carry it to a gig!

What a fantastic video! I think it's nice that you left the welding mistake in there - could have happened to anyone. You probably made the right choice with sound over looks. I reckon, in addition, the bulge would have interfered with your foot pedal mount / when playing. On that note, have you considered putting some kind of support inside / outside the suitcase where the drum beater sits to prevent against wear? A nice piece of felt would perhaps do the job... Already psyched for your next vid! :D

Wow, pretty cool! I wonder if you have any ideas about a bass drum pedal pad to practice at home (for single and doublepedal).
I once tried the Pearl BD-10, but it was unexpectedly loud and the rebound was kinda awkward. Besides that, it moved a lot while playing.
Also if anyone has a suggestion in this topic, I'm thankful for any advice :)
