Thanks for the update guys! As things are in my shop now, I could probably squeeze a 2'x4' altmill in, but it would require major rearrangement of things. If you release a 2'x2' smaltmill it would be easier to smoosh into my shop. More choices are great for everyone! Looking forward to the next update! 🍻
We ordered our Altmill in July and we still have no idea when our machine is ready. I will however remove my Altmill.from the Que if you develop a 4' by 8' model and wait for that.
I recently bought an Altmill cnc. I must be and the end of the waiting list. My question for you is : whats the plan with TapidChange ATC? Is it on your plan to make it work with SLB? Maybe sell the kit? It would be a really good addition to the cnc mill
when will the New computer monitors be shipped out it was saying December now I see it says January do you have any idea and I'm also interested in the smaltmill 2 by 4 When do you think they'll be ready to be shipped out and ordered
I wish you guys could come up with a way to get on the queue for AltMill without paying in full - I really want one but cant commit to tying up that much money until next spring/summer. Now its growing to such a long wait its having me feel I need to go with a different device. Not your fault but Id assume Im not alone and I really want to supporto Sienci!
Speaking as someone who signed up for one expecting a 12-week wait that has now been extended to nearly 20, yeah, it's kinda rough. Not at all their fault, but it doesn't make it any easier to swallow.
I thought the size of the Ultrabeam for the ball park projected price was going to be tough. If you doubled the price that would still be a value in the marketplace for the size you were building.
I would actually expect the X being shorter in this regard. He is talking rigidity for metal cutting and the weakest link is the X gantry. Keeping it the 2' side means more rigid. The Y can be shored up with another set of legs in the middle, which isn't an option on X.
@@Mike-k6rTheir survey does ask why people would want a smaller machine, some of us have space limitations but don’t want to do any metal work. And the smaller machine they showed in a previous video was 4x2, not 2x4. But it’s also the fact that they appear to invert the X and Y on their website for their CNCs.
Before develop new products should be good if you guys improve the pre-sale customer support. It's horrible. Thank God I didn't need post sales customer support yet.
I, on the other hand, had amazing pre-sale support. She was also very honest about what would be a want or a need or something to wait for a newer-better release. Top honesty and support.
In their defense, they are awaiting parts in order to meet demand, and working on other things in the meantime. But I somewhat agree, spending that much and waiting several months is a let down in the digital delivery and "tomorrow" age.
Great work! Enjoy these updates.
you guys are amazing. really appreciate your constant developments.

Any plans on a 4x8 machine? Im planning to get the 4x4 altmill but would definitely buy a 4x8 altmill as well!
I'm holding out for a 4x8. The 4x4 looks incredible for the price but I really would like a full size machine.
thanks for the update. Love your Spam shirt.
hoping to order the 2x4 in February 25. Will I be able to order it then?
Question I understand that the altmill is not designed to mill steel. But could it drill steel? Say 3/8". An example would be for a weld table.

Same here, waiting for the 4'x8' also
I'll be all over a 4'x2' Altmill !!! How do I get to the blog to take the survey?
You can check out the blog here: sienci.com/2024/12/05/december-2024-production-updates

I was excited about the lazier but will wait.

Is your software MAC compatible or Windows only
For those of us that have ordered the Gsender Controller Computer, I wish we could get email notifications as to the progress of our orders! 🖥
When you guys say 2x4 you mean 4x2, right? I don't understand why you invert the X and Y axis.
I would actually expect the X being shorter in this regard. He is talking rigidity for metal cutting and the weakest link is the X gantry. Keeping it the 2' side means more rigid. The Y can be shored up with another set of legs in the middle, which isn't an option on X.

I’m a little confused as to why you would build an Altmil out of2x4s 😂
