For ezreal it varies from game to game. In this catchup, w maxing is better because aphelion has no movement abilities so he can gain distance whenever he feels like. Also, w is just stronger into aphelios.

But also because Milio has a lot of disengage so having a lower cd on E is not a top priority and because both Aphelios and Renata have ways to clear the waves fast so I knew I would have to trade against minions + Aphelios early on before I could clear waves quicker with triforce powered Q. And because I knew I would be pushed in all early game I wanted a way to equal out the damage against the turrets when I got the chance to push up.
