The Green Bay Packers have significant playing time available at linebacker this year with their switch to a 4-3 defense. Although they won’t spend a ton of snaps in their base defense, they will have more on the field than in past years. Quay Walker, our 2022 1st round NFL draft pick has yet to live up to that hype. Our 2nd-round 2024 NFL draft pick Edgerrin Cooper might not push for those duties, but he is making a strong impression on the field. Edgerrin Cooper is sudden and violent, finding a hole in the offense and exploding through it to make the tackle. He brings even more athleticism alongside Quay Walker, as the 2 can fly from sideline to sideline. Outside of Quay Walker, Green Bay doesn’t have an established linebacker on the roster. I’m more excited about Hafley scheme in this news than Cooper being good. If Hafley can turn our defense into the chiefs defense it’s game over. I’m excited for Raegan Gary! He was a dad lineman in college and now he’s going back to his natural position. With these exotic blitz packages it’s going to stress the offense and it’s going to get 1on1 matchups with Gary and Clark more often. And if they commit to doubling Clark like teams have been we’re gonna get a Saftey or LB through and they are fast enough to get there. Even if they don’t get the sacks our defense I guarantee gets more interceptions and sacks next year. We were a top 10 defense in points last year. If we could be top 5 in points and start getting more turnovers and stops on 3rd and 4th down it’s going to give Love more possessions and chances to score.
Guettekust has become a master of "reading the draft" as it unfolds..know the needs & draft tendencies of teams that would or would not take the players he actually wants..
It's going to be fun watching GB have a attacking style D again...and a balanced offense. Things got too one dimensional, putting a lot of it on the QB and one WR to bail them out almost every game.
He was the best linebacker in the draft he is more elite than micah parsons and he is a good coverage player to the dude had 8 sacks as a ILB and he got speed like a receiver 4.5 at 230-240 is insane

Quay has stepped up, drastically. I remember when he was kicked from a game two times. 2023, not a single ejection. I think that’s great progress

Gute passed up on LB Payton Wilson and took Edgerrin Cooper instead. We'll see, which player does better in the NFL.
Wilson was most likely never going to be a Packer cuz of his injury history.
