You, my friend without a doubt have the most enjoyable channel about FPV drones. I am only sorry that I’m about eight or nine years late from when you started. I’m 75 years old and I’m teaching myself to fly FPV on the Sim I’m using Lyft off. I’m about 40 hours into it and I can fly relatively well until I get close to the ground and start following something at a slow power speed, it works fine until I have to make a 90° or 180° turn then I run into problems lol . brain just doesn’t work as fast as an 18-year-old.. anyway thanks for really great entertainment.
So awesome to hear someone who's older is getting into the hobby! Make sure to coordinate your turns using yaw and roll. Slower flight and following things is all about throttle control And anticipating what the subject will do next. keep up the good flying @warpig639
I'm flying FPV multirotors, planes and helicopters. I just can't believe that you managed to "persuade" those pilots to fly FPV. And their models and flying... 👌👌👍👍 Respect.
My favorite Ken video in a long time! Loved the weiner mobile, the "vertical" hovering planes at the end, the Giant jet R/C plane, and you circling the Carbon Cub. Beautiful stuff!
What a killer day you had. Unreal how well those guys took to FPV! Nice shots of the real plane and killer orbits around the large scale trick RC planes hanging from their props✊ The tape that held the FPV gear on the planes was also Impressive. Great video Ken and good to see Dave was with😶🌫️😁
Its crazy to me how the LOS pilot stated he lost his sense for attitude with the goggles, however he has a sense of attitude without the goggles. For most drone pilots, we experience the opposite! We lose all sense of direction once the goggles come off. Ive always wanted to try fixed wing but ive never flown anything LOS! And its kinda embarrassing to pull up to my local RC field where all the old guys are flying LOS and then I come along with my fancy little camera to help me with my sense of direction. Im a commercial pilot in real life so flying fpv drones and fixed wings comes naturally. 🤘🏼
That was the greatest entertainment video I have seen in a long time. Love those RC planes and the shots you got with your drone. You are a good ambassador of our hobby. Thanks 👍👍👨🦳
Looks like you had a great time!! Was out of town this weekend and hated I missed ya'll but will see you on another time Ken. Great perspective between LOS and FPV.
Glad you are trying fixed-wing FPV, Ken. If you are interested in head-tracking FPV from cockpit so LOS pilot can truly feel like being in the cockpit, let me know. Great job chasing/orbiting the full scale plane. Much harder chasing RC planes though😉
Every ANZAC day here in Oz the airforce flies an F35 out and his track is over our airfield... he usually zooms in around min level as there is a lot of airforce guys in our club and its awesome to watch... Once you go FPV its hard to go back....... that was an awesome vid.... greetings from dow nunder mate. stay safe
Awesome crossover video removing some of fears and misapprehensions that RC fliers may have about drone pilots - hopefully. Ken got it right when he mentioned 'I'm a professional' - don't try this 'at home' unless you are too.
id suggest getting together with some of the "head tracking fpv rc pilots" and giving that a try. its one thing to have fpv, another to be able to look around 😂
That’s a great looking jet! Would be cool if someone made a scale RC fighter jet like the F-4 phantom or F-16 with a mini afterburning turbofan engine on it, an FPV system, and which can go supersonic
when i flew fpv for my firtst time, i flew waaaay more steady than than i could manage line of sight.. just an old high winged trainer with like 1,6 meter wingspan.. (5 foot or so)
Hola Ken, can you provide the frame brand, type and size (4" or 5") frame you used to connect the O3 Armer to the DJI O3 kit? It looks like you didn't use screws on the O3 Amer was it glued on to the frame? Looking to try this out at my RC club. I've already filmed club members with the Avata2 and the Air3S, it would be great to get them to try this out. Thanks for your support. HFTA! 🙂
For any of you who are new to r/c or are considering trying it. DO NOT operate your radio with the just your thumbs on the top of the sticks like one dude in the video. Use an appropriate harness or radio rest, and actually grasp the sticks with your index finger and thumb like the main guy is doing.
That first jet dude had a fun reaction!

Thanks for the positive comment!
Keep practicing FPV. You'll get it figured out!!🤘😎🤘

As long as your having fun, its okay. Maybe you'll like "Uncrashed" too. Its SUCH a fun FPV Sim.
Have to agree!! Whenever I see a video of Ken’s I watch!! Instant like on this one!!

Wow, thanks! They were super cool about it.
Takes off headset after flying FPV like a natural… “i need one of these”
Heck yeah!
My favorite Ken video in a long time! Loved the weiner mobile, the "vertical" hovering planes at the end, the Giant jet R/C plane, and you circling the Carbon Cub. Beautiful stuff!
Awesome video Ken! Bobby is a great pilot and definitely a natural. It was great having you there man!!
This was awesome Ken! More of this all day sir!
What a killer day you had.

It really was a perfect day all around.
That looked like so much fun!
"Literally Bad Ass" Awesome Video Ken! And a fly over to boot! Love that Ending😉
Good Times! Just flew my first plane this weekend! Good stuff. The plane even has head tracking! Good job getting more people into FPV!

Sounds good Rob!! 🙂
Wow these guys are all confident to try it out!
I was a little surprised to be honest! 👍
@@KenHeron right? I’d be like.. “I’ll try with your plane” 😂
If he keeps messing with those trees, he's gonna need one of your shirts 😂😂😂
🤓🤘
I FPV everything! Fixed wing is the best and most fun in my opinion. so awesome to see a setup on a jet!
Sweet flight
WOW!! must have been a outstanding day!
Yes it was!😎🤘
FPV everything!!

Yeah, even though the full size plane was flying slowly, I wanted to keep it safe distance but still get great shots.
it needs on screen telemetry

It's even cooler when they hook the camera to a thing that allows it to work with head tracking.
id suggest getting together with some of the "head tracking fpv rc pilots" and giving that a try.

Great Stuff Ken....
Thanks bud! It was a really fun day.
Man that was so awesome!! Wish we had gotten there earlier. Great video, later bro.
Thanks 👍
That's how I feel when I fly my helicopter on DCS.. Amazing.
Heck yeah my friend! 🤘
Awesome! I wanna chase an RC Plane/Jet so bad ! Cool video Ken!
You should!
It's not like the old days, most fixed-wing pilots welcome drones these days.👍
Awh dude that was awesome video :)
Glad you liked it!
Another great vid brother!

That was fun!
if the 2nd guy gets fpv and adjusts his rates he will be flying like butter.
when i flew fpv for my firtst time, i flew waaaay more steady than than i could manage line of sight.. just an old high winged trainer with like 1,6 meter wingspan.. (5 foot or so)
Oh cool!
Such fun
03:48 bad idea...😊😊

I know how those guys would have been feeling, the first time that you do fpv can be very confusing

Hey!
Yeah, I just used double sided tape.
It doesn't matter how you attach it, as long as the '03 armor works.
Want one
Good news is? Its being shipped soon
This required FULL SCREEN.. Way Cool #LIKE30

Speedybee mini f405 is less than $40 with inav. You can get all the hud info
Sweet.
Ken, what receiver system did you give them?
That was the DJI O3.
@KenHeron very reliable !
Probably perfect for a monocle screen. Not just for guerilla whooping lowes anymore
😎
My kids 13yrs old and flies FPV wings that do well over 100 mph .. but we only fly slower haha 😉 😉
