Thank you doctor for explaining so well. I had one exa and the treating doctor put me on LAMA+LABA/steroid. Seeing i was in the initial stage I was apprehensive of being overmedicated.
Your beautiful video confirmed my suspicions. Changed doctors and have now been put on just SAMA
    Feel so much better
    Thank you

When do you use SABA+SAMA? And can a patient be in albuterol nebulizer, ProAir AND Combivent at the same time? They all contain albuterol. In the new GOLD 2020 guideline, they mention the use of SABA or SAMA only few times.

Thank you …you make this very to understand! I have never smoked but seem to have so many infections, throughout every year! Am I a future (or past candidate for COPD! ). My elder sister died after many years with COPD…She was 72 at the time. I am 75 and scared…Is COPD heredity?? My
Community is serviced by one hospital, but there are 4 small district hospitals within 100 miles.

Lots of these inhalers are anticholinergic. I read a study that taking this class of drugs can put a person at a higher risk of dementia. Are there any inhalers that are long lasting that are not anticholinergic.

I think when it comes to something like COPD, the present is more important than the future. Gotta survive COPD long enough to even get dementia, so gotta take a little bad for good.

Would be nice to define COPD. What exactly is COPD?

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The airways are either too small, which makes it harder to get the air out, which blocks new air from coming in. The other possible way is if the airways lose their elasticity, so they can’t snap back into shape and push out the breath to replace with fresh air.

    Theophylline?

I would not use it, since its not as good as the other therapies. It used to be good long ago, but newer therapies are taking over.
