Well done, sir! Thank you for sharing. I am looking for this model to purchase. My former band hand one of these in addition to a Yamaha DX-7 and a Yamaha organ. Will take some learning to play it, as I am a drummer and also not a teen anymore! Lol!
I miss mine. My old rig back in the day was Crumar Orchestrator, ARP Solus, and Wurlitzer electric piano... All run thru a Leslie speaker with a Sun mixer.
Hey, got one of those too! But mine doesn't sound as nice, weirdly. (and it's in a good state). I could almost believe it was a big CS, at one point! Maybe it's the effects? What effects did you use? In any case, thanks for sharing and spreading the goodies! Good job at playing it wonderfully!
***** just some basic delay, chorus and reverb. I treated the 3 outputs differently. For me, it's the filter/volume pedals that make all the difference. Thanks!
I have one of these beasts - but it has fallen out of tune paste the range of the pitch lever. Any clue if there is another tuning option somewhere? Nice vid. Thanks.
I do not believe there is another tuning option, unless you open the beast and work on its insides. Have you tried wiggling the pitch lever, with the keyboard turned on - do you hear any change in pitch as you wiggle...?

Do you know if it would be possible to take an existing expression pedal and change the connector on it to be able to fit into the orchestrator? I have one myself but I can't find the brass filter pedal anywhere.
Here's a link to the schematics. ( It was branded as The Multiman in Europe ) Hope it helps!! Thanks for watching. archive.org/details/crumar_MULTIMAN-schematics
@@unpluggedlamp what you need is a 22k linear potentiometer. You'll have to look at the schematics to figure out which pins connect to which wire, however I do remember that the ground gets soldered right to the back side of the casing of the pot.
@@unpluggedlamp that's really all expression pedals are anyway. If you can find an expression pedal that is able to mount a pot inside of it, then you'll be golden.
geerefamilyusa oh, I got it! Amazing sounds!!! The best demo on youtube! I bought one this week and Im waiting it arrives.... I just wanted to be right that sounds in video are all of crumar haha! Thanks!!!
Cool! Hope you enjoy this beast of a keyboard. As I explained in the video, I did hook it up to some delay/reverb. But with those three separate outputs, you can simply add fx pedals to your heart's content! Thanks again for your comments!
This is lovely. Still cherish my old Crumar Organizer. They did never enjoyed that much of a vintage following, but I think the old Crumars are something special
lovely! i just picked one up and recapped the machine, sounds great, do you know whats inside the brass filter pedal? i was assuming it might just be a pot; but i've seen ones that look like it that use power etc. i want to make one from scratch as they are hard to find.
What a big beast, makes a Solina look compact! What a gorgeous sound, too, and wonderfully expressive playing.
Thanks. It's a joy to play too.
Beautiful instrument.
lot of fun for a string machine and this old dark look... I would play it everyday
Such a lush sound! The part from 9:05 to 9:40 totally kills me! Great work ;)
+Kieran Foster Thanks!!
Indeed a musical approach to a musical instrument. Thank you, enjoyed this demo very much !

Awesome demo! Gorgeous instrument!
+beephouse Thanks! It really is a treat to play - especially with those pedals.
It sounds magnificent! In proper hands it coud easily replace much more expensive CS 80...
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated ☮️😎

I love what you're playing and how it sounds. Have you recorded albums of vintage synth stuff? If so, where can I buy them?
Nice demo. What effects did you use? Models.. Thank you.

Did that work for you? I’m also wondering if that would work!

Hi! I didnt understand the description... At some point of the demo, are you using the Waldorf together with the Crumar?
No Waldorf. Only mentioned it in the description for comparison only. Thanks for watching!
