- USDA Prime brisket point only, (full packer without the flat). The PBC (Pit Barrel Cooker) knocks it out of the park! This is the absolute best brisket I've ever cooked or eaten. Very easy recipe, the Texas Slabs meat didn't require any trimming, simply great cook!

The one thing I haven't tried yet on my Pit Barrel is Brisket. You are getting me motivated, thanks for the video, nice job!
I've done quite a few in the PBC. Usually I use my big pit, PBC does it just as nice!
Well, you've done it again Grill Sergeant. That brisket looks fantastic. I can almost taste it by looking at it. Great job Sir !
Thanks so much! Views and comment much appreciated Steve!
Now that was a really good result on that brisketpoint. Great smokering, juicy and tender... That pbc and you did a great job with that cook.
Thanks so much for the shouhout David! Much appriciated.
Your recepies are really inspiering.
Cheers
Thank you my friend! Always great hearing from you!
Great cook! Looks like you nailed it! I’m considering one of those Pit Barrel Cookers.
Please buy from SteenSmokeHouse (SHOW MORE) I'll buy you a cover for it my dime!
Great intro, lol 😀 Nice tender brisket. Looks delicious. I like the way you cooked it in the barrel 👍
Thank you!! PBC never fails! I've had it over 2 years and over a hundred cooks! Appreciate the view and comment!
Thank you for the shoutout😃You always get the best meat, so jealous of the selection you have there. We have Publix or Sams, which isn't the worst but definitely not the selection you have. That looked absolutely delicious. Thanks for sharing😃
I've used Texas Slabs for a few months and I just call, they tell me what they have, when I walk in they go to "the back" and return with my project. Love your channel, your help for all of us and that CCC avatar couldn't be more cool!!
Wow. Thats soo tender. Amazing really.
Thank you so much for the mention. I am honoured i can inspire :) I love watching your stuff too. You share knowledge and thats super to me :)
That's what it's all about my friend! Thanks for the kind words sir! You are doing awesome work!
SteenSmokeHouse :) true words
That looks so good. I’m on my way to the butcher to get a brisket now.
Thanks 110, your smoker has huge tires! My big pit has steel wheels but even with 3 grown men it feels like it's anchored to the ground!
Beautiful recipe TFS
Thanks!!
Your channel is amazing!
You're very sweet Thank you
Thanks so much!
Excellent video. Cant wait to get my PBC.
You will love it! Please get through SteenSmokeHouse link.
Hi looks great thanks for sharing. I do have a couple of questions if you don't mind.
> What was that red stuff you put on the meat before the rub ?
> What was in the spray bottle and how many times do you spray the meat ?
> Did you put any juice in with the meat when you wrapped it ?
> How long was your cook ?
Sorry for all of the questions, but I want mine to come out as good as yours did.
Thanks,
John
First, thank you!
Answers:
>A little olive oil then red stuff was Chrystal hot sauce
>Spritz was apple juice. Probably not needed but I always use it on a big cut of meat or poultry even turkey
>No added liquid when wrapped always juicy enough (I never inject either)
>>PBC is super consistent, as I recall about 7 hours BUT every cook varies a bit.
>>>Hope that helps! I also strongly suggest USDA Prime! All the difference in the world! Any other questions I'll answer as soon as possible! Happy cooking!
Thanks for the quick answers. I can't wait to cook my own.
John
So glad I can help!
Now I’m really considering getting a PBC
It is a super BBQ tool. I would appreciate you buying from my "SHOW MORE" drop down. It costs the same and my channel gets a little credit too! Had mine going on 3 years and it never disappoints!
I'm drooling. Looked so juicy and delicious
Thanks! Was king of briskets for me.
Good Lord, amazing brisket !!
What's the total cook time ??
About 7 hours, including wrapping then pulled and rested about 2 hours. Thanks for asking.
Question : curious as to why you seasoned only one side. Would it be because the other has more fat and would melt into the meat?
I'd seasoned the other side already. Thanks Mindi!
I always do it that way on video.
Sorry, I didn’t realize that. Thank you.
Thank you Mindi!
What did you use as a spritzer?
Apple juice always, sorry I missed your comment!
