Whoever was poked in the middle of the back by the metric FAL charging handle appreciates the inch pattern charging handle.
I agree, 100%!
Nice! I've got the folding/ inch style charging handle on my SA58 FAL-- the FAL manual you get with DSA rifles also details how to remove/ change the charging handle too. Great job explaining this brother!
Thanks dude. Appreciate it
Thanks, I learned something new. Very helpful.
glad it was helpful!
Thank you. 👍
Thanks for the video.
You bet
Great how to man!
Thanks man. Appreciate your support
For future reference use a roll pin punch to get the pin started. Ball peen hammers work better than a claw hammer.
Thanks for the input. I shall do so
I AM A FN FAL GUY TO, I REALLY MEAN IT!
Welcome to my club. There are many of us out there
Wouldn't it be hard to grip though if you were in a rush to pull the charging handle back? Or does the handle stay open until you decide to fold it?
Yes, it will make it slightly harder but you get used to it.
The handle will fold once the BCG slams into battery.
Why the gaz piston tube is cut and missing a third in the middle ?
FN FALs are designed that way
Where can I acquire a halbek device?
As soon as we get the first batch of reproduction models done. Just got through the 3D modeling process... it will take a few more months but eventually there will be a reproduction out
new to this stuff, but what is the point on changing out the charging handle?
The inch pattern one is slimmer and does not stick out as much as the metric one does with its knob
@@thefalguy9848 thanks man! Getting my first FAL soon, love your channel!!
Also can't wait for your mags to be in stock again!

A FAL is a must!
Agreed. In SA they're pretty common, but are still expensive when compared to most new 5.56 rifles. I love the R1, my father, grandfather and uncles all used it.
@@chimp9404 awesome 👍🏼
I hope you’re not replacing original Rhodesian parts on an original Rhodesian fal
No, I would not do that. This rifle has no Rhodesian parts on it. Yet.
