Hey, just a FYI. The bins is not always the end for most clothing, handbags, and shoes. they get sold overseas to 3rd world countries. I watched a documentary on it. pretty interesting. each pallet is graded, so at the ports they go up for auction. richer people buy them then they go to their warehouse and lower end items go up on sale in their corner open air markets. nicer stuff is sold in stores.🤩
GIRL I KNOW i put it back because it was the heaviest thing and i was scared i was gonna spend way too much $ 😂 but i found another red bag recently & i couldn’t leave it behind bc i regretted the last one lol
hi kait !! i love your videos ! here’s some tips from someone who has been going to the bins for about 6 years now: - honestly, i would buy anything you find interesting and just not think about the weight. (at my store at least), nothing is above $5- one time i bought a whole working typewriter and although it was soooo heavy, it was only $5! - kind of going off of that, the bags or anything besides clothing usually have their own pricing, not by the pound! at mine they are about $2-3 each so definitely worth just buying any bag even if you don’t love it, because you could always sell it for more. - finally, your tactic was perfect- just put anything that you find remotely intriguing in your cart and sort through it later. because i highly doubt you can find any of it again if you lose it 😞
I don't use hot water. Cold water is gentler. I use lysol sanitizer (they sell some liquid for your washer.) That's how I keep clothes clean :) I wipe down bags w disinfectant wipes and spray.
I know for myself wearing gloves takes away the ability to feel for fabrics when digging through piles. Like linens or good quality materials. Just good handwashing after and spray sanitizer during will help.
omg love this, would Love to see more bins videos because we don't have them anywhere near me! ngl i LOVE the beads on the batwing coverup. what sizes dp you mostly buy for your depop store? i wear size XL but id totally be into buying from you. love ur vids always! have a good day and look at a creature outside!
It's the first time I go to a thrift shop to buy old clothes already worn by people. I want to customise them. So it's a strange impression because clothes are not new but I like to customise. So I washed them and go to free creations 🙂
Loved your video sm! Though I do recommend next time you're trying to film a shot of your pants try to give us a whole body/lower half shot so we could really see the pants' cut overall which would make the shot way more interesting💓
Hello! I´m a college student and I’m doing a research on the clothes thrift shopping community and I was wondering about what motivates you to watch this type of videos and what attracts you to thrift shopping!
for the beaded purse, you mentioned "it reminds me of my lola". did you mean your grandmother? I'm Filipino, so I perked up at that, but I'm also questioning if there's a brand out there called "my lola" 😅 if you meant grandmother, that purse also reminds me of my own grandma! lol, her wardrobe is very glitz and glam.
I am half filipina! :) So yes I meant my grandmother! She always had beaded bags and stuff. My mom ended up inheriting them all so I might have to raid her closet next time I'm home! I agree on the glitz & glam haha Thanks for watching love
So this is the bins location that I go to regularly and while i understand it’s a public location, I’d be disappointed to see myself in one of your videos. I resell for a living, as do most of the people that are there regularly….shopping the bins for the best available merchandise isn't for the weak so we definitely aren’t zombies😂 I’m not saying don’t record, you do what you feel is best for your content, but just consider maybe doing quick shots of the other people that are there bc we don’t go thinking we are going to be “content”.
I mean Shein mostly ends up in landfill so I'd suggest keeping the skirt if you like it. I think it's cute!
very true!! it’s not really my style so might give it to a friend or repurpose the fabric :)

thanks for the info!! what’s the documentary called? I’d love to check it out and learn more about this
@@minigru.studios Hey, I know it was from the TV show "60 minutes". maybe try 60 minutes Australia.
The phrase “Saturday at the bins” sounds like a juvie reform camp dystopia 😂
I was screaming when you left that red bag there 😢 ❤
GIRL I KNOW i put it back because it was the heaviest thing and i was scared i was gonna spend way too much $ 😂 but i found another red bag recently & i couldn’t leave it behind bc i regretted the last one lol

You have such a keen eye for interesting pieces. 🥰 Thanks for sharing your first Goodwill Bins field trip!
awh thanks for watching!! 💕
You only need to wash them normally, money's filthy and door handles in public places, those clothes are miles cleaner.

thanks so much for your tips!!
