New UA-cam video on Autovoice. This small demo shows how Android is years ahead compared to other mobile platforms. This is due to being Open Source and the amazing development community. Stay tuned for Tasker Intermediate Tutorials. +1 and reshare if you love Android. #Tasker #Autovoice #Android #androiddev #androidftw
It's not something your going to want to leave on. However, you can have a profile in Tasker that whenever you are plugged in, enable Auto Continuous Voice. This is excellent while driving, you have full control without having to touch your phone. Just imagine, you get pulled over by a cop and you say "OK Record Audio" or "Record Video" and triggers a task to record while the screen is off. Very powerful stuff, as always it's up to you how far you want to take it.
Relax guys, you can get all the Voice features that Moto X has on your android phone. Just download Tasker and Autovoice. Easy to setup, but best of all is you can trigger Autovoice using a Bluetooth headset or even a Pebble watch! Just saying.... #motox #motorolaxphone
Jonathan Franklin my point is the MotoX isn't available to buy right now. My G+ feed is going off the wall with people going bananas over the voice feature. All I'm saying is you can have those features if you take some time to setup your phone. Sure it's not as efficient as the MotoX. But it's also not as limited as Moto X is too. So I guess it's pros and cons. I personally would never use the Moto X voice features. Too many great plugins exist on Tasker that allow you to do virtually anything. I'm sure the Moto X will be limited to what Google wants it to be. Not that it's a bad thing, it always comes down to how far you want to take it. Great for the people that don't like to tinker with their phones and just want things to work out of the box. I can assure you that with newer generation processors like the S800 autovoice is going to be way more efficient.
see what you are saying but you have to setup 2 apps. I understand that you can do almost anything in tasker. But with the x8 you have dedicated cpus. Also its built in. The most have is active display...i want that.
That did it. Switching from Automatelt to Tasker. Thanks Armando! This is way too cool. Now I'll have to carefully take notes from your other videos, haha :D
Armando you find the coolest shit, I'm glad I found your channel. I like a lot of other tech channels as well but you always got something cool that stands out.
i've been playin with autovoice with tasker for a few days and have started getting addicted to this functionality. Make sure you guys check out 'Utter!'. It can be used with autovoice and tasker. When you say "hey android", it can make Utter reply with "Go ahead" and start listening, giving you so much more functionality. You can also apparently pass through variables through Utter but not in the way i wanted it to. Anyways, it's still really awesome.
First off I love your series! Please continue both this Tasker series and the Home Automation series. They are great! I have a question. Can you explain how you got the multiple actions in one voice command. Is it multiple tasks or is it one task that can handle some or all of the voice command arguments. Please let me know how you did that I am very interested in this. Thank you and keep up the great work! :)
Fantastic. Were you able to automate play/skip/stop of media on the device? Or does the sound from the device stop the mic from picking up your voice commands?

You can talk normal, I may have sounded like a "Robot" but it was more to showcase the actual command that I was saying. When I do my tutorials you will see how seamless it works and also the distance. I can have the phone in my pocket and it can hear just fine.
I love, love, love, love, love your work!!!! It's just perfect.... Im trying to do that with arduino and ethernet shield... Greetings from Argentina!!!
Hey Armando, we've seen a lot videos about Homeautomation and so on but it's quite difficult to find good tutorials for AutoVoice around the web. I thought you might be the right guy for that job. Can we expect some step by step tutorials soon? Best regards
Question, can you make like a car mode and activate it like that? How in depth does it really go? Is there a way I could have tasker even launch a different launcher and more functions like automatically switch to landscape mode and then launch a music app of choice?
Cyanogenmod. You can tell by the lock effect. In some 10.1 ROMs the lock effect was taken out, but some third party ones still have it. (my tablet is officially supported, and lost the effect, but my phone uses an unsupported version, but still has it)
Chevy Chase is that really you!? Thanks, I try to do different things. That's why you'll never see me do 'unboxings'. I'll leave that to the "professional" UA-camrs, I'm just a guy that loves tech. But most of all I love to share videos with you guys. Thanks for subscribing!
I am using utter which is awesome! Only problem is that it drains the battery life crazy when I have the wake up voice command on. How's much battery does this app drain, ?
i would like to know, if your app can identify doorbell (hearing or listening assistent) and that a customer sounds will play about my sonos speakers. You know what i mean? thank you for this great app :)
Hi I've been watching a lot of your videos recently on tasker voice control and home automation, Here in the UK we have a system like your Vera light called lightwaverf, I have an app on my phone that I use tasker to select buttons using the shell command , Is it possible to do this in the background of my phone like your showing here, ie the app doesn't come on the screen when the command is in use ? I'd appreciate your response,
Armando, I know that you are quite busy, and I have a question to ask about one of your older videos (Android Tasker Autovoice Demo | Always Listening). Specifically at time marker 1: 43 you are using continuous voice with the screen off to turn off and on your light, your popcorn machine, and another item. I understand how the continuous voice works, and I assume you set up a task to listen with the screen off, etc. What I do not understand is if you used AutHomationHD to complete the actions or if you set up a tasked action in some way to control the switches through Vera. I am very interested in knowing how you were able to complete this automation project in your video reference above. Could you please explain it to me. Thank you for your time - it just wasn’t clear what process you used to accomplish this.
Hey Armando, nice Video. But how do I activate the continous voice recognition? I can't find any options and my task won't trigger by saying the hotword. I have the autovoice Demo, but my hotword is "ok" (for testing), is the demo the problem?
Autovoice still seems to be buggy. When used with Utter, it might start making an auto ding that won't go away until you kill utter completely i guess. You can make it a little less buggy. You can make a task that when recognizing "Hey android", it disables autovoice, says "Go ahead" and utter listens, then 6 seconds later autovoice is reenabled, vibrates(so i know its enabled), and then it waits a few more seconds and tries to enable autovoice again to make sure its enabled as a secondary check
Hey Armando, I've got a few questions about this app. Does it need root access? Does it drain more battery when you turn on the auto continuous voice feature? And if it does, how much?
Hi Armando, is there any chance, that will make a tutorial for this: i will start the app car home ultra, then following should be started: bluetooth on,gps on, autolistening on, calling any contact should be possible then! i´m new on tasker and it would be help if i can get a tutorial for this one! and it will be also great, when i can start it with google now...so please let me know if you can this one for the community! thanks
Hey buddy, great tutorials!.. i have a question, i have the moto x and would like to use tasker, i have it installed with autovoice and auto launch. do i need my phone rooted, for some reason i follow your instructions, and always listening just gives me lots of beeping, like its looping? i have an insteon home automation at home and would simply like to urn the devices on when im home via my moto x and tasker, any ideas? cheers in advance!
Hi thanks for the vids . can u please tell me how to deactivate my lock screen with no pin/password when it is connected with my home WiFi ? ...I use the new tasker ...thanks
In your video you also seem to be bugged by a non responsive secure settings. Do you know of ways to make this work smoother? I especially have a hard time to let secure settings disable my lockscreen. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Maybe anyone else?

Nice NZXT Phantom! I went with the black :P
Can''t wait

Not quite "the same" when the main point of the X is that it does it in a way that doesn't consume a lot of power.
Great concept but the others are right...it's not the same. Can't wait to see what this phone is going to be in it's entirety.
Jonathan Franklin my point is the MotoX isn't available to buy right now. My G+ feed is going off the wall with people going bananas over the voice feature. How's the battery life effected by having it listen all the time for voice commands?
***** I love tasker but this is on another level.
You don't have to feel awkward if GPS doesn't turn.
You made a nice video,
Keep posting
You don't need the #motox phone to have "always ready" feature. Just use Tasker and Autovoice.
#motorola #android
how is this on the battery?
see what you are saying but you have to setup 2 apps. I understand that you can do almost anything in tasker. But with the x8 you have dedicated cpus. Also its built in.
The most have is active display...i want that.
***** do you think someone at ***** will be able to port the touchless control with Google now to high end devices such as the HTC one or s4?
Can we get a basic profile for getting auto voice to open Google now and for voice commands on a key phrase like the moto X?
James Riley Arpit Patel you can already do that now. How to use Google Now from AutoVoice using AutoShare and Tasker
No other video has made me want to get this app as much as yours does. Thanks for posting! Answered a lot of questions I had. Greatly appreciated.
Dude you are seriously a nerd, and I really appreciate you for that! That is amazing!

Can't wait for this video tutorial!! I can't figure out how to use the autovoice continuous in tasker to execute commands.
Love watching your videos, always interesting and innovative stuff. Love that you're getting back to tasker!
thanks for the video armando. does this hammer the battery?
Cool! What device are you using on the lamps and Computers to turn them on remotely?

Hey Armando,
we've seen a lot videos about Homeautomation and so on but it's quite difficult to find good tutorials for AutoVoice around the web. I thought you might be the right guy for that job. Can we expect some step by step tutorials soon?
Best regards
Question: Since it's always banging away listening doesn't it eat the battery up? It's still very awesome!
And another question(you don't have to answer if don't want to):
What is your job?
Love your vids.
Could you give us a tutorial of how to enable it? Awesome video by the way :)
The phone is called Oppo FInd 5 ... and icon set has been described in What's On my Android Phone video uploaded by Armando.
Question, can you make like a car mode and activate it like that? How in depth does it really go? Is there a way I could have tasker even launch a different launcher and more functions like automatically switch to landscape mode and then launch a music app of choice?
Is there a complete walk through for setting this up? Like what hardware you are using? I'd like to set this up using a raspberry pi
Cyanogenmod. You can tell by the lock effect. In some 10.1 ROMs the lock effect was taken out, but some third party ones still have it. (my tablet is officially supported, and lost the effect, but my phone uses an unsupported version, but still has it)
estuardo desde guatemala, siempre veo tus videos hermano.
Hallo Armando. What is that R2d2 thing you have on your desk?
By the way, a very good video. Again.

Hey) Could you tell me plz what phone are you using? P.S. Your videos are awesome, glad i found your channel!
Does the phone has to record every second?? Isn't bad for the battery??
How did you set it up so it's always listening!?
What devices do you use for controlling your lights, computer and others? Are they smart sockets?
Do you have to say the commands so "robot like" or can it work using a more "conversation like" tone, as well? ;-)
Chevy Chase is that really you!? Thanks, I try to do different things. That's why you'll never see me do 'unboxings'. I'll leave that to the "professional" UA-camrs, I'm just a guy that loves tech. But most of all I love to share videos with you guys. Thanks for subscribing!
how did that work to lights? did you have it connected to lights?
did you announce the comic book theme winner?
and does it call and tell you the time while you have it in your pocket ?
where does one get the hardware to plug in to lamp and popcorn machine to do this?
how did you make it still able to hear your orders even when screen was off?
Very Nice Video !!!

Thank you
Hi Armando, I got a Q. for you. How did you wire your computer to turn on???
Thanks in advance
how can you trigger 2 action in 1 voice command? did you make another task for "and" command?
Hola Armando, puedo encontrar algún vídeo sobre tasker en castellano (Spain) ??
Awesome as always :-) Good work
I am using utter which is awesome! Only problem is that it drains the battery life crazy when I have the wake up voice command on. How's much battery does this app drain, ?
What about battery consumption since it should be always listening?
i would like to know, if your app can identify doorbell (hearing or listening assistent) and that a customer sounds will play about my sonos speakers. You know what i mean? thank you for this great app :)
What about the battery lifetime in this runs all the time in the background and scans all voice fotage? And how high is the background CPU usage?
Can you make a video regarding how to set it up
what component do you use for the computer to turn on??
Hi

How did you do the display and secure commands?
are you filming this with google glass?
Hello, concern, autovoice only works with Internet convention?
step by step tutorial on how to use touchless controls and tasker and how did you connect it to your house!!!? please :D
Hey Armando, nice Video. But how do I activate the continous voice recognition? I can't find any options and my task won't trigger by saying the hotword. I have the autovoice Demo, but my hotword is "ok" (for testing), is the demo the problem?

Hey Armando, I've got a few questions about this app.
Does it need root access?
Does it drain more battery when you turn on the auto continuous voice feature?
And if it does, how much?
does this require extra hardware or just the app?
What is the name of the icon pack your using?
Is Autovoice like Amazon Echo and Tasker is like IFTT?
How does the "always listening" thing affect battery life?
can u use vera in other countries such as Argentina???
Doesnt this effect battery performance?
Hola Armando. Funcionan comandos en español?
what was the offing animation armando ferria
how did you do this?
Do you have to have tasker for this to work?
Omg this is amazing. I'm downloading the app now
I wonder what you could execute with SU and Root.
What's that wallpaper?
what does this do to the battery life of the phone?
Does this ROM/Find 5 combination works well? With no bugs lags and great battery life?
Armando how is the battery drain with this?
Fantastic demo, the only problem is that my phone isn't a fan of Scottish accents! :)
Armando what phone are you using ?!
How's the battery with this "always listening"?
Hi Armando, is there any chance, that will make a tutorial for this:

Hi thanks for the vids . can u please tell me how to deactivate my lock screen with no pin/password when it is connected with my home WiFi ? ...I use the new tasker ...thanks
In your video you also seem to be bugged by a non responsive secure settings. Do you know of ways to make this work smoother? I especially have a hard time to let secure settings disable my lockscreen. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Maybe anyone else?
make a video on this!
how is it on battery, i mean while its "always listening"
Is there a profile to launch my music app such as Poweramp and play a track of choice? Thks in advance
