@@billkerr9489 I know it’s not easy to look up just using the context as is. I’ll try and find some links but I do recall 3 separate interviews with 4 or 5 ppl total that spoke on the aftermath and the lead up to the situation. You can’t find it typing it in as is, you gotta find the associates of both sides and go through a wormhole of all of their interviews, it was like a 2-4 minute segment throughout each of the interviews where a comment or statement was made in regards to the situation
Back in the day Jermaine was disrespecting Dre, so it was their beef, Em's just having his back.
Em doesn't lie in disstracks, he might embellish a little for humor, but overall it's true.
The beef started cuz Canibus accused Em of writing LLs diss to him, which Em denied. Em took a shot back on SSLP Role Model, Canibus came back with like an EP or something, then Em did this. Part of the diss is the fact Canibus is good, and Em's still laughing at him, cuz he's not good enough (whether true or not, it's just part of the diss.)
Personally I enjoy that Em took different approaches. Sometimes he clowned them, sonned them, took their style and mocked them with it, went hard at their throat, and even one time just did the hook while D12 dragged TF out of Ja, like he wasn't worth more effort. With this he interpolated Slick Rick's "Children's Story."
Canibus got LL, I agree, but not Em, imo. I'll be surprised if you think so, but still try and respect it =)
You have to make a bigger MC Bleed if you want the win (that's why Pusha T beat Drake) but it's hard to make Em bleed cuz he did the 8 Mile thing his whole career.

I think that Marshall was disappointed that Canibus dissed him with a lame track. Being a competitive rapper, he wanted to really go against someone challenging. Cannibus wrote a diss track that really sucked, so Em was trying to egg him on.

The beef started because Canibus thought Eminem ghost written the LL's diss track towards Canibus.Eminem didn't but but Canibus though so because Em and LL were close friends so Canibus dissed Em on one of his songs and Em dissed Canibus on one of his song ever since then they have been going back and forth. There still beef bewteen them.And as far as who won i think majority of the people would agree Canibus won just because Canibus was going hard at Em while Em never took Canibus seriously and just played around.And some people would say Canibus lost because at the end of the day some people know guys like Ja rule and Benzino because they dissed Em Canibus is one of the guys who beefed with Em for a long time but hasn't gained anything unlike the LL beef were he gained a lot.

Canibus grew up with his mom's job moving her around all the time. He's not really from anywhere. That's also not his fault, but this song is still funny. The Jermaine Dupri thing was a beef between Dre and Jermaine and Em just jumped in it. Canibus wrote A LOT of songs, and/or bars within songs, about Eminem, but they weren't all diss tracks.
