It's like MGK got a full 8 hours of sleep, woke up and had a big breakfast, then popped an adderall, hit the gym, took a 45 minute nap and then recorded his diss track. Eminem woke up hungover, stumbled outside to his car and recorded his diss track while driving... and still won
The entire point of a diss track is to discredit and destroy the "opponents" lyrics. Em dissected every single bar from Rap Devil. And like he pointed out, you don't give compliments in diss tracks. MGK tried to do a rap battle diss "track", maybe I'm just old school bc Rap Devil sounded more like a song, and Em did what he does best. He wasn't even trying. It took him 13 mins to write this. - There's a movie, Killshot, where a guy named Colsen has a hitman sent after him and is eventually killed by a police marshal. -Patrick Swayze was in movie Ghost but also he passed away on Sept 14, 2009 and Tupac died on Sept. 13, 1996. Killshot was released September 14, 2018. Em just thinks of so many small details.
@@MichelleShow lmao, sometimes im rolling my eyes but sometimes I live for the pettyness. Em has a kind of justified pettyness so I can often tolerate it.
Ok.....but he could have just not responded....so @michelleshow point of em giving more bang to abc bars is 100% facts. And if that was a line put in simply to mimic the beard weird line.....then you cant discount it from mgk, but credit it to eminem....the logic must stay consistent....or else you become known as a STAN...to me that when your opinion becomes irrelevant....
@@AchillesSeverus so he mocked a corny line in a diss to him with corny lines in his response? So responding to a specific diss...corny or not legitimizes the diss...the fact he felt he needed to address it....so ill conceded there both corny bars.....my point is its inconsistant logice and hypocritical to say ones corny and one is not....honestly i felt that "not alike" was a much better and harder hitting diss then killshot..
@@kevm2896 who hurted you?:))just say you can t understand it s easy ,also your opinion is also irelevant lol,em dissected rap devil and also punched him in the gut at the same time, also the man bun line is still a better line than the weardd beard line that s one of the worst bars in a rap disstrack ever period coming you re going against a guy who camed in the game as a battle rapper
This is the same point I make to everyone that bring up this line. It doesn’t matter if Em did or didn’t leave hickies on her neck, the fact that he could say it and there was no blow back from Rihanna is the actual point of the bar! MGK is saying that “Em is afraid to ask her for her number.” Em is saying “not only do I have her number, but I called her (just a theory), told her I was going to publicly release a scandalous statement about her that would have her Twitter going crazy AND she would be Ok with it!” THAT is some next level rebuttal type shit!! Now, if Rihanna came out the next day, or week saying that it wasn’t true, this makes the entire Killshot track null in void. But she didn’t! “See what you’re seeing is a genius at work, which to me isn’t work so it’s easy to misinterpret it at first!” -RAPGOD : My dads gone crazy
4:21 The whole point of rap battles is to rebuke and respond to bars the other person threw at you my man. Em had the upper hand he doesn't need to try and climb up above MGK, he's swatting down MGK's attempts at trying to climb up above him
@@MichelleShow Eminem wasn't even going to respond to MGK's Rap Devil cuz he knew it would only help MGK's career unlike how it used to be when Eminem started in the rap game. If u take this beef back in time to when Eminem started rapping, MGK wouldn't exist just like ja rule and benzino
Eminem mentioning Rihanna in the beginning was a clap back to MGK’s line about holding an umbrella up for her. He wasn’t saying he genuinely put hickeys on her neck
Bro it's a rap battle and Em did exactly what battle rappers do and respond with a rebuttal to what said to them. That's how battle rap works and Em literally flipped everything MGK said
If this were a rap battle, then YES, Eminem may have overcame all of his fails .........(ridiculously late response, speaking on the beef before doing so on wax, waiting 6 years to callout MGK, no video to match, no addressing of the industry behind the scenes hatred, .....and not handling this in the way of "the art of rap" from day one). He was more clever with his lyrics as expected. Unfortunately, this was never a rap battle. In the words of the late Tupac Shakur on "Hit Em Up" ...T'his ain't no freestyle battle' Like "No Vaseline" and "Hit Em Up" show repeatedly, ...there's a difference expectancy in what needs to be displayed in diss tracks (which these were). WHO,WHAT,WHEN,WHERE,HOW, ...and WHY is the beef going on in the first place. Someone's going to get exposed. Ask Drake. Eminem tried to skate all the traditions because he knew he had fan support to get away with it (or at least he'd hoped). In the end, it was Em' who miscalculated the possibilities of what could've happened when he surprise dissed a bunch of folks who he, clearly, didn't expect to get a response from. Except one did. MGK, turned out to be that dude. Not only was he unafraid of the legend ............ he apparently had a whole lot of dirt on Eminem's shady background moves made to undercut a label mate's career. Plus, he was a once proud Stan. All of these things added up to a bad situation for Em but the biggest miscue turns out to be ........Machine Gun Kelly is pretty damn good and resilient as a muthaf*cka. Eventually, his talent would overcome all the smoke and mirrors & the pieces would fall into place. Things make sense now. Pop music fans can blur out the truth because they operate from the mindset of a different culture. By their standard, these things can be decided like meaningless popularity contests. This, is rap music, which is a part of a different culture called Hip Hop. We are loyal to the culture.......not it's artists. These men weren't beefing over who's got the better bars. This was beef. There are other means of competing under those terms. This wasn't it. Under those realities, .......... Eminem lost (and it wasn't even close). I don't blame MGK for being so upset that the initial reaction was so off. He played by the rules from day one. - Never said Eminem's name until called out. - Responded within 3 days time. - Addressed and exposed all the real substance behind his beef. - Dropped a video - Came at Eminem in a way no one ever expected, including the rap god himself. - .......and did it well.
@@micahatkins5286 no way you believe this... mgk been sneak dissin and bad mouthing em for last like 2 years leading up to it plus if he’s a Stan he knows em is personal towards his daughter, em dropped not alike which blows any mgk project out of the water, mgk responded with rap devil which was rumored to be co written by lil tay and wasn’t even close to as good as not alike so em just flipped pretty much all of the rap devil and killed him with it and been teasin mgk ever since because em was baiting him to put another to take mgk’s head off. There’s a reason mgk won’t diss em and switched genre and painted his nails so ya this your dude or hero with painted nails in a pink skirt lol you gotta be weirdo
He showed he ain't f...n around cause MGK mentioned Dre and he ain't gonna let it slip. It's like: You talkin about my friend and boss, I'll tell you what I think about your boss. And Diddy allowed him to go at Slim.
@@MichelleShow if u understood more of the bars that Eminem said u would definitely not say MGK Rap Devil was better than Killshot. U only caught the obvious bars on Killshot.
There's a line in Kill Shot that most people don't catch. When he says, "one call to Interscope and you're Swayze". Obviously, he's saying he can make one call and kill MGK's career, but what people miss is that Kill Shot was released on the anniversary of Patrick Swayze's death. Just the date of release is a double entendre.
MichelleShow ik what you mean but he likes saying corny stuff all the time you can tell when he’s not bein serious listen to how he said it , tone of voice while chopping up the flow and then immediately gettin busy. But just opinion , love the channel
@@MichelleShow Em was dissing MGKs man bun in a response to him saying he has a "weird beard" basically saying you wanna talk about hair let's talk about your man bun. Also Em was responding to each of MGKs disses because he grew up in the battle rap scene and that was the aim of the game. Rap Devil is up there with in the top 3 disses against Em but the rapping was very average. Em destroyed him with double and triple entandres and wordplay. The bar "saying you'll run up on me like a phone bill spraying lead (cause you run up a bill), playing dead that's the only time you'll hold still ( hold steel as in hold a gun)" was crazy.
Paul Kennedy yea I definitely caught the hold steel line, I watch a lot of battle rap they usually rebuttal only one or 2 lines unless it’s chef trez or charron.
I dont think Em was necessarily joking about Diddy. He was insinuating that Diddy is a snake and has weird connections to what happened Biggie, Pac and the rapper Shine etc. That's why Em brought up the "your boss pops pills" line. He is basically saying that Diddy gassed up MGK for suicide.
Just found your channel today, and been binging hard for hours now! LOL You are hilarious man... just your lack of patience when you hear something that's obviously horseshit, and don't even waste your time finnishing the songs crackes me tf up! Your attitude is refreshing as hell. I don't necsessarily agree with every single one of your opinions, but for some reason, with you, I'm ok with that. LOL I think it's because you simply keep it 💯and don't sell out for subs.... I talk to much, just wanted to express my appreciation really 💛
looking back on this, Em nulified all the bullets so mgk doesn't even has anything left to respond with lol.... he even use the Kim and Hailie card already
You got my blood pressure steaming for a moment. Personal preference aside Em torched mgk by rebuttaling all his nursery rhymes personals that the 🐐 wrote in 13 MINUTES!!!
Cuz he knows as long as I'm Shady, he gon have to live in my shadow is like a kidney punch. At first ur like "I'm good" then about 3 seconds later ur balled up on the floor and can't move/breath.
Nice reaction! I respect your opinion. But are you really giving power to someone your dissing by rebutalling things? I mean MGK was talking a lot of ish in his diss. If you just ignore it and keep rapping about something else your kinda sending the message that what was said is true and part of dissing back is taking the steam out of peoples argument. Stuff like the rihanna stuff was just em trading outlandish lines with MGK’s outlandish line to just correct him. Also, attention to cadence is important here. It can sound cringy when he goes “stan, stan, son, listen, man, dad, isn’t, mad, but how you gonna, name yourself, after a damn gun, and have a man bun”. But notice how hes calling him stan and his son and the way hes talking to MGK like hes trying to calm down his mad young stan son cuz MGK was pretty pissed in his diss. Its an insulting way to respond to someone and not taking them seriously. XD then he takes a jab at his credibility as a gangsta after claiming to name himself after one. Also, MGK has expressed on wax that Ems diss damaged him mentally. Em definitely wasn’t too mad at MGK or taking him seriously but his diss gained enough traction that it came onto his radar. He could just outbar him but he already did that before rap devil. Before he wasn’t focusing on MGK outside of just taking shots while lyrically trying to overwhelm him, here he started to actually focus on him while not taking him seriously enough or mad enough to just wanna outrap him. Also another key thing to point out is Em expressed in recent interview at this time is that he wanted to destroy MGK, but he also didn’t wanna make him bigger. So it stands to reason he wanted to destroy him without making too much of a spectacle out of the track like hes done in the past.
Zach Zwerin yea just a personal opinion with too many rebuttals especially going against someone beneath u ,but I get both sides. either way I got em winning he did just enough to put him away.
They say that mgk got a pac tattoo that’s why Eminem said the day you put out a hit is the day diddy admits that he put the hit out that hot pac(mgk) killed. You made some valid points tho . I also feel like Eminem was going easy on mgk hoping mgk would respond but mgk never did . Mgk said he had another diss but after hearing killshot he put it away . Plus of course mgk was more personal . He was like the biggest fan of Eminem so of course he would know more about him . All Eminem had to go off was what mgk said in rap devil . Meanwhile mgk knew basically about Eminem past and stuff because of Em songs . Great reaction tho & you should check out some more Eminem diss tracks .
Michelle Murphy yea u definitely right about the personal thing and mgk knowing more about em. The Tupac tattoo thing kinda iffy but it’s possible and I’m definitely reacting to some old Eminem diss songs.
Rihanna hickey line was a response to MGK in Rap Devil. Then said "insult me on a line, compliment me on the next" (neck). The doubles and triples go so much deeper than most reactors pick up on
@@marquirasheed It's not a reach at all. I love Eminem as well as many other artists across many genres. I don't simply hate. It's not a reach at all. It's a fairly basic bar in response to two aspects of MGK's track.
@@MichelleShow what Eminem said was a shot at Diddy and MGK cuz we all know Diddy will never admit to putting a hit on Tupac that got Tupac killed which in turn means MGK will never put out a hit song
I dont quite agree, but I respect your reasoning. You definitely have a well thought out analysis. Personally, I love when someone turns their opponent's words back on to them, but in many ways Eminem could have hit a lot harder if he had just raised an eyebrow and said, "As long as I am Shady you will have to live in my shadow." Nothing else. Not even a diss, just a tweet with that line. Still, I think that the thing about flipping someone's lines is that - while it does give them the power of knowing you responded - it also tosses the ball right back into their court. If you cant answer, your own shot did worse than miss, it gives your opponent the point. I admit it does not go with Killshots imagery of shots missing though; Em might have been better served with lines about things bouncing off him. Imo
I’m a month late to your beef party. I never even thought about Eminem responding to every line in rap devil being a bad thing, being hit by them lines is a sign of weakness. But Em did come back on those lines with even harder lines and facts (except maybe the Rihanna part, we don’t know about the hickey). Over all you did a great break down of this beef, nice work, keep it up.
So either he actually left the hickeys on her neck or she had someone put hickeys on her neck and then was filmed in her interview the next day clearly seeing the hickeys so everything would line up I think it's deeper than you realize
I just love that he took literally every single thing nerf gun said and addressed it or flipped it back on him and when listening to this I dont feel like he is talking to anyone but Nerf directly. He doesnt sing or use autotune. He doesnt kiss as while diss at the same time. He goes in and enjoys it and has fun with it. There is a lot of little details that throughout that I've seen so many people not catch including the starter cap which is crazy because it's literally one of Em biggest songs and he showed everyone that he really is Stan. The video to Rap Devil was so rough to watch. That walmart shovel and him poking out his bird chest
Lol I just went on and on explaining why I thought Em won in one of your other videos. Loved the reaction. Liked. Already subbed. Thanks for your hard work. Coming back for more!
Appreciate your honesty and am enjoying catching up on your reactions. I like Em going after Diddy. It was disrespectful to MGK for Em to start going over his head. And ultimately, Diddy gave the ok to proceed with Rap Devil and the way for Em to squash the beefs in the future was to go at the funding source which is Diddy. It was a crazy shock to hear though, I totally agree with that. In terms of rapping, Not Alike already targeted MGK and showed Em’s clear superiority as a rapper. So, I’m fine with Killshot being more of a battle rap style response (rebutting each of his comments, etc.). But that’s personal taste. Ultimately, imo, Rap Devil was a catchier song and MGK showed balls going after Em. But, imo Killshot was clearly more personal, pointed, and disrespectful than Rap Devil.
Bro Eminem’s rise to fame was a direct result of his ability to take someone’s opinions about him and spin them back at him in a lane of his own when it come to beef
mgk is absolutely not a mumble rapper, you should react to some of his older stuff and em used to destroy in rap beefs but yes overall it was a great beef, sucks we'll never see a collab between them two lmao
I know I'm late on this video, but most people don't recognize the pop champagne line. MGK had a video go viral when he heard Not Alike. Like he made it
As an Em fan, @michelleshow is top tier reactions bro. Im tired of stans saying everything Em does is goated, we need more reactions like this that keep it 100. @michelleshow keeps it real man, I appreciate these reactions.
2 years later...I like watching your vids so much that I am revisiting. I am convinced you didn't think this was better than MGK. Your face tells a story mane, you were so hype watching MGKs diss. I could be wrong..but opinions are never wrong, right? I 100% agree with you on the "giving to much attention to what MGK said". Whatever, I really enjoy your take on things.
This entire diss was perfect....when em said "as long as I'm shady you're gonna have to live in my shadow" that diss is for life...EM influence will live on forever
Damn man u r trippin on this Cleveland thing lol I'm a proper Stan but even if u would of lied and said MGK won ...a ridiculous premise... I would still keep watching all ur vids. You're just too damn fun too watch I'm here for the Petty!
Bro this is a perfect diss record one thing that truly makes it a perfect diss record is when em rebuttals every line makes said to him bro that's diss record one on one
Eminem is a battle rapper by nature, which is why he was responding to MGK lines as a rebuttle. Also, Eminem is too big to learn about MGK and attack him with personals, its just not worth his time and pen. MGK on the other hand is a stan and knows everything about Em's life, hence the personals. Finally, as Em mentioned in the interview with Sway, MGK is not even in the rap conversation for him, so he never bothered to go at him like that. Honestly, this beef was over before MGK even responded cuz Em demolished him on Not Alike.
@@MichelleShow MGKs diss isn't that good though , there are a total of 3 lines that actually hit though , and eminem countered all his lines ( i think it is a good thing) , and threw some jabs too ( very few haymakers though) . He is acknowledging his lines by countering them sure (like you said in the video) but he still nullified them . and then to make matters worse for MGK he just shut his mouth after this and never responded back , if the diss was so shit then he could have easily responded and ended it ( even though i disagree , i think the diss was alright , at least better than MGKs).
Results speak for themselves. One is doing photo shoots looking like a gayer version of a gay MGK and Em is putting out some of the best music of his career
I can admire a man who stands on his opinion! Completely disagree with you but that what makes life great. Just found your channel and catching up. Keep at it. Not sure if you’ve been pointed towards AKALA Fire in the booth 4. But give it a go, bars for days.
I feel like the Diddy bar has aged so well, especially with Em doubling and tripling down on his latest album and everything that’s come to light about Diddy.
I aint mad at you for personal preference. I respect your opinion. Ems 👊 where harder. Based your reaction and your thought process you changed my mind in the fact that it may have been closer than I originally thought. Just like in boxing some people watch just to see a knock others watch for the sweet science and technical skill. Keep doing your bro just subscribed.
the point of battle rap is to almost have a back and forth conversation so responding to things is important but i feel you em did play a bit too much defence on this one. However none of MGK disses really stick on a real level where as Ems disses have a lot of weight to it.
6:40 This bar in particular always reminded me of a line in a promo "Nature Boy" Ric Flair did attacking "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel: "I would LOAN you one of my robes to wear on T.V. if you wouldn't get lost in the arms"
I actually read this diss as Em attacking MGK’s confidence in being able to diss at all by deconstructing his whole song (which did have a lot of playground insults, regardless of how personal). And beyond that, Diddie produces MGK and it seems from this song that Em thinks he’s the one that likely encouraged MGK in this course of action. Basically a ‘stop hiding behind your artist’ thing. But that’s just my opinion.
Lemme explain the diddy putting out a hit on pac line. Mgk got pacman tattooed on his neck, that's why eminem was playing pacman arcade before he released killshot. Mgk under diddy and had to ask diddy to go after eminem. Mgk being "pac" (for pacman). So diddy never admit that he gave the green light for mgk(pacman or pac) to go after eminem who killed him on killshot (eminem killing mgk) . Hope this clears up why he put that controversial double entendre in the diss
Eminem didn't just win this beef. He mopped the floor with MGK, threw MGK in the trash, then threw the trash into a woodchipper. Without even really considering the bars in this song, the 4-D chess level of intellect that Em is playing with is unfair. Some fun facts to consider about this song: This song is titled "Killshot". There's a movie with the same name that's about a hitman that's kills a character named Colson (same as MGK's name: Colson Baker). This song came out on September 14, the same day that Patrick Swayze died (hence the Swayze line in the song). It also came out one day after Tupac was killed - another reference to the song where he talks about Diddy ordering the hit. Not including all the other bars in this song, Em even throws in a quadruple entendre just for fun ("the game's mine again and ain't nothing changed but the locks / so before I slay this bitch, ah mwah, give Jade a kiss" (1. Jadakiss/LOX, 2. physical locks on the doors of the game, 3.only thing changed about Em is his hair color (locks of hair), 4. give Jade a kiss = kiss his daughter Hailie Jade goodnight). Not sure that MGK is even capable of those... No, this beef was over before it even started.
I live in the Netherlands and used to do freestyle rap battles. I won 28 tournaments trough the country and Belgium. (I hold the national record) What gets the most crowd reaction and always give you the edge is if you can rebutal the lines of your opponents. It also proofs that there is no possibility of being pre written. I was always very good with rebutals and that made me win a lot of times. So in my opinion, it is actually a strong thing to do. But maybe im biased cuz it always has worked in my advantage.
This song came out only 10 days after rap devil. He made this thing in like a day or two and responded to everything. No one else is making a response like this in only a few days.
You do realize that Rihanna and Eminem dated for about 3 years. It wasn't a secret and that's part of a big reason of why they made so many songs together. She's his that's why he can say that and not offend her
You act like my 16 year old son did when he heard this. Until I brought it to his attention that Eminem was clowning him on this song. He used his own flow and content against him. Genius! 🤔🤫🤣✌👏👍🙏❤
He wasnt eating M&M's it was cereal. The video was shot outside of Key Bank Center in Buffalo NY. A block away is the General Mills Cereal Plant, complimentary im assuming lmao
Here's a breakdown of the song -"Rihanna just hit me on the text Last night I left hickeys on her neck" (Referring to MGK's diss track where he said Eminem is too afraid to ask for her number) -"Insult me in a line, compliment me on the next" (Mgk kept complimenting Eminem like a fanboy) -"Was watchin' 8 Mile on my NordicTrac" (MGK said the only time Eminem saw 8 mile was at his treadmill, Eminem confirms saying he saw it at his NordicTrack which is the most expensive treadmill) -"Realized I forgot to call you back Here's that autograph for your daughter, I wrote it on a Starter cap" (Stan reference, How MGK is just a bitter fan who never got his idol's attention) -"But how you gonna name yourself after a damn gun And have a man-bun?: (No need to explain that) -"Say you got me in a scope, but you grazed me I say one call to Interscope and you're Swayze" (Swayze here is a synonym of Ghost, Meaning Eminem says how his one call can make MGK disappear from Interscope) -"But I'm 45 and I'm still outselling you" (No need to explain) -"But you're a fuckin' mole hill Now I'ma make a mountain out of you, woo!" (Em by calling MGK a molehill /someone relatively unimportant, Says he will make a mountain out of him /giving him undeserved attention) -"Gunner? Bitch, you ain't a bow and arrow" (MGK named himself after a gun but Eminem thinks he is nothing, not even a bow and arrow) -"Playin' dead, that's the only time you hold still" (MGK calls himself a gunner and a gunner holds still while aiming but Eminem says MGK is nothing. He says the only time you hold still is while you play dead) -"Are you eating cereal or oatmeal? What the fuck's in the bowl, milk? Wheaties or Cheerios? 'Cause I'm takin' a shit in 'em, Kelly, I need reading material …Dictionary…" (In MGK's diss he says all Eminem does is stay inside and read a dictionary, MGK is also something out of a bowl in his video, which completely unrelated to the video) -"Luxury, oh, you broke, bitch? Yeah, I had enough money in '02 To burn it in front of you, ho Younger me? No, you're the whack me, it's funny but so true I'd rather be 80-year-old me than 20-year-old you" (Eminem was way ahead of MGK at his age and still is way ahead of MGK) -"Got more fans than you in your own city, lil' kiddy, go play" (No need to explain) -"Shootin' a video just to fuckin' dig your own grave" (MGK is holding a shovel in his diss track video, Eminem says he is digging his own grave by shooting that video) -"Kelly, they'll be putting your name Next to Ja, next to Benzino-die, motherfucker! Like the last motherfucker sayin' Hailie in vain" (Eminem says the only list where MGK's name will be is the list of rappers whose career Eminem has ended) -"My biggest flops are your greatest hits" (No need to explain) -"The game's mine again and ain't nothin' changed but the locks So before I slay this bitch I, mwah, give Jade a kiss" (Eminem shouts out the rapper Jadakiss who is in a rap group named LOX, He also talks about Hailie as her middle name is "Jade") -"Bein' rich-shamed by some prick usin' my name for clickbait In a state of bliss 'cause I said his goddamn name" (MGK clickbaited Eminem's name to get views on his diss track) -"This is it, as big as you're gonna get, so enjoy it Had to give you a career to destroy it" (No need to explain) -"But if I was three foot 11 You'd look up to me, and for the record You would suck a dick to fuckin' be me for a second" (Eminem says even if he was 3 foot 11, MGK would still look up to him, Referring to MGK's diss where he says he is taller than Eminem) -"How the fuck can him and I battle? He'll have to fuck Kim in my flannel I'll give him my sandals 'Cause he knows long as I'm Shady, he's gon' have to live in my shadow" (Em claims that MGK would have to be fucking Kim, before he was a real threat to Em. But in order to fuck Kim, MGK would have to be even more of an Eminem wannabe than he already is, literally wearing his clothing. Em suggests that he’ll help MGK out in this department, even giving him his sandals. This is also possibly a reference to the “Rap Devil” video in which MGK can be seen wearing sandals with socks. Em is also be saying that as long as he’s ‘shading’) MGK, the younger rapper will remain well below him "in his shadow") -"You're fuckin' salty 'Cause Young Gerald's balls-deep inside of Halsey" (Eminem says MGK is salty about how his ex Halsey is getting banged by the rapper G Easy) -"Who else want it, Kells? Attempt fails, Budden, L's Fuckin' nails in these coffins as soft as Cottonelle" (Eminem likens his enemies' insults to an impotent attempt at a burial, where the proverbial closing of his coffin is carried out with Cottonelleproducts-a company known for its toilet paper and flushable wipes.) -"But, Kells, the day you put out a hit's the day Diddy admits That he put the hit out that got Pac killed, ah!" (Em says the day you make a hit will be the day "Diddy" = MGK's boss will admit that he got Tupac killed (which he never will) Plot Twist "Killshot is also a movie directed by John Madden. The plot features main character Carmen Colson, who is targeted by an experienced, psychopathic hitman. Machine Gun Kelly’s birth name is Colson Baker. Em uses the film as a metaphor for how he is the experienced rapper going after someone out of their depth." There's also a line about how MGK gets "Swayze" after Em made a call to Interscope. the Actor Patrick Swayze died September 14th same day Killshot was released. Patrick Swayze acted in a move called "Ghost" meaning MGK was acting ghost when Em made that call. Deep. Everything is layered so much. Also 2Pac died September 13th...
Easiest way to tell who won: who left the entire genre and now pretends he’s a great punk rocker? Pretty sure that ain’t Em. MGK got kicked tf out of rap lol.
"Rihanna just (HIT ME) on a text, last night i left (HICKIES) on her neck" - Its not just a line: He starts off by setting up a double on "I'm Perplexed" because he uses "HIT ME" to make "HICKIES" antonyms to each other. This then gives a double meaning to the line that follows: "you just dissed me, (I'M PERPLEXED)" to say he's perplexed about MGK's bars - & - He is perplexed from contradicting himself in the opening 2 lines i.e. if you give someone HICKIES, The opposite would be to HIT them.. Finally the "(JUST HIT ME) on a text" & "(LAST NIGHT) + (LEFT HICKIES) on her neck" is also a metaphor for how quickly MGK turned from Stan to Hater.
You came to the right conclusion even tho I disagree with alot of your points. 🔥🔥 reaction though.

now thats a fact!!!

A lot of his points seem like he’s looking for something to talk crap about . Almost everytime he paused
The fact is mgk did it 1 day , Eminem did it in 2 weeks. Mgk did it in a tour bus and Eminem did it in a studio.
@@DeezNutz-go8lv Eminem wrote killshot in 13 mins he didn't wanted to give him his time go get some research kiddo😂
It's like MGK got a full 8 hours of sleep, woke up and had a big breakfast, then popped an adderall, hit the gym, took a 45 minute nap and then recorded his diss track. Eminem woke up hungover, stumbled outside to his car and recorded his diss track while driving... and still won
🤣

He should have said he remembered leaving hickies on her neck in like '08 then I'd believe it
😂
Its him implying he can and has hit that because MGK was saying he would hold her umbrella on some simp shit
“See what you’re seeing is a genius at work, which to me isn’t work so it’s easy to misinterpret it at first!”

i respect all opinions
If this were a rap battle, then YES, Eminem may have overcame all of his fails .........(ridiculously late response, speaking on the beef before doing so on wax, waiting 6 years to callout MGK, no video to match, no addressing of the industry behind the scenes hatred, .....and not handling this in the way of "the art of rap" from day one). He was more clever with his lyrics as expected.
Unfortunately, this was never a rap battle. In the words of the late Tupac Shakur on "Hit Em Up" ...T'his ain't no freestyle battle'
Like "No Vaseline" and "Hit Em Up" show repeatedly, ...there's a difference expectancy in what needs to be displayed in diss tracks (which these were).
- Dropped a video
- Came at Eminem in a way no one ever expected, including the rap god himself.
- .......and did it well.

He is basically saying that Diddy gassed up MGK for suicide.

roknkawk 🤣 fact! Game over!

I dont quite agree, but I respect your reasoning. You definitely have a well thought out analysis. Personally, I love when someone turns their opponent's words back on to them, but in many ways Eminem could have hit a lot harder if he had just raised an eyebrow and said, "As long as I am Shady you will have to live in my shadow."
Nothing else.
Yes sir Preciate u glad somebody understand where I’m comin from

🤣 yea I just commented on that one, Preciate u tho!
"As long as I'm Shady he'll have to live in my shadow."

I'm glad he said the diddy line because that makes him true to his word. If you start beef with him, he will stay coming at you and diddy started.
the point of battle rap is to almost have a back and forth conversation so responding to things is important but i feel you em did play a bit too much defence on this one. However none of MGK disses really stick on a real level where as Ems disses have a lot of weight to it.
Even Em said it was good for MGK...but Em toyed with him...he could have brought out Slim Shady fr

6:40 This bar in particular always reminded me of a line in a promo "Nature Boy" Ric Flair did attacking "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel:
"I would LOAN you one of my robes to wear on T.V. if you wouldn't get lost in the arms"
Think he only had a response to his bars to set up the machine gun outta ammo

I believe MGK has mentioned Eminem in a couple songs since I believe he dissed him on I believe it was called Floor 13
Baller Club Preciate it ima check it out
Still with sly sneak disses won't say his name like em does
Eminem didn't just win this beef. He mopped the floor with MGK, threw MGK in the trash, then threw the trash into a woodchipper. Without even really considering the bars in this song, the 4-D chess level of intellect that Em is playing with is unfair. Some fun facts to consider about this song:
This song is titled "Killshot".
(I hold the national record)
What gets the most crowd reaction and always give you the edge is if you can rebutal the lines of your opponents. It also proofs that there is no possibility of being pre written.
I was always very good with rebutals and that made me win a lot of times.
So in my opinion, it is actually a strong thing to do. But maybe im biased cuz it always has worked in my advantage.
Don't know if you caught the locks Jadakiss bar figured I'd mention it!
She's his that's why he can say that and not offend her
How do you know he will say he’s playing at the end and still react like it’s your first time watching it?😂
You noticed that too 😂
You act like my 16 year old son did when he heard this. Until I brought it to his attention that Eminem was clowning him on this song. He used his own flow and content against him. Genius! 🤔🤫🤣✌👏👍🙏❤
i respect all opinions no matter what! 💯
He wasnt eating M&M's it was cereal. The video was shot outside of Key Bank Center in Buffalo NY. A block away is the General Mills Cereal Plant, complimentary im assuming lmao
Here's a breakdown of the song
-"Rihanna just hit me on the text
Last night I left hickeys on her neck"
(Referring to MGK's diss track where he said Eminem is too afraid to ask for her number)
-"Insult me in a line, compliment me on the next"
(Mgk kept complimenting Eminem like a fanboy)
-"Was watchin' 8 Mile on my NordicTrac"
(MGK said the only time Eminem saw 8 mile was at his treadmill, Eminem confirms saying he saw it at his NordicTrack which is the most expensive treadmill)
-"Realized I forgot to call you back
Here's that autograph for your daughter, I wrote it on a Starter cap"
(Stan reference, How MGK is just a bitter fan who never got his idol's attention)
-"But how you gonna name yourself after a damn gun
And have a man-bun?:
(No need to explain that)
-"Say you got me in a scope, but you grazed me
I say one call to Interscope and you're Swayze"
(Swayze here is a synonym of Ghost, Meaning Eminem says how his one call can make MGK disappear from Interscope)
-"But I'm 45 and I'm still outselling you"
(No need to explain)
-"But you're a fuckin' mole hill
Now I'ma make a mountain out of you, woo!"
(Em by calling MGK a molehill /someone relatively unimportant, Says he will make a mountain out of him /giving him undeserved attention)
-"Gunner? Bitch, you ain't a bow and arrow"
(MGK named himself after a gun but Eminem thinks he is nothing, not even a bow and arrow)
-"Playin' dead, that's the only time you hold still"
(MGK calls himself a gunner and a gunner holds still while aiming but Eminem says MGK is nothing. He says the only time you hold still is while you play dead)
-"Are you eating cereal or oatmeal?
What the fuck's in the bowl, milk? Wheaties or Cheerios?
'Cause I'm takin' a shit in 'em, Kelly, I need reading material
…Dictionary…"
(In MGK's diss he says all Eminem does is stay inside and read a dictionary, MGK is also something out of a bowl in his video, which completely unrelated to the video)
-"Luxury, oh, you broke, bitch? Yeah, I had enough money in '02
To burn it in front of you, ho
Younger me? No, you're the whack me, it's funny but so true
I'd rather be 80-year-old me than 20-year-old you"
(Eminem was way ahead of MGK at his age and still is way ahead of MGK)
-"Got more fans than you in your own city, lil' kiddy, go play"
(No need to explain)
-"Shootin' a video just to fuckin' dig your own grave"
(MGK is holding a shovel in his diss track video, Eminem says he is digging his own grave by shooting that video)
-"Kelly, they'll be putting your name
Next to Ja, next to Benzino-die, motherfucker!
Like the last motherfucker sayin' Hailie in vain"
(Eminem says the only list where MGK's name will be is the list of rappers whose career Eminem has ended)
-"My biggest flops are your greatest hits"
(No need to explain)
-"The game's mine again and ain't nothin' changed but the locks
So before I slay this bitch I, mwah, give Jade a kiss"
(Eminem shouts out the rapper Jadakiss who is in a rap group named LOX, He also talks about Hailie as her middle name is "Jade")
-"Bein' rich-shamed by some prick usin' my name for clickbait
In a state of bliss 'cause I said his goddamn name"
(MGK clickbaited Eminem's name to get views on his diss track)
-"This is it, as big as you're gonna get, so enjoy it
Had to give you a career to destroy it"
(No need to explain)
-"But if I was three foot 11
You'd look up to me, and for the record
You would suck a dick to fuckin' be me for a second"
(Eminem says even if he was 3 foot 11, MGK would still look up to him, Referring to MGK's diss where he says he is taller than Eminem)
-"How the fuck can him and I battle?
He'll have to fuck Kim in my flannel
I'll give him my sandals
'Cause he knows long as I'm Shady, he's gon' have to live in my shadow"
(Em claims that MGK would have to be fucking Kim, before he was a real threat to Em. Em is also be saying that as long as he’s ‘shading’) MGK, the younger rapper will remain well below him "in his shadow")
-"You're fuckin' salty
'Cause Young Gerald's balls-deep inside of Halsey"
(Eminem says MGK is salty about how his ex Halsey is getting banged by the rapper G Easy)
-"Who else want it, Kells?
Attempt fails, Budden, L's
Fuckin' nails in these coffins as soft as Cottonelle"
(Eminem likens his enemies' insults to an impotent attempt at a burial, where the proverbial closing of his coffin is carried out with Cottonelleproducts-a company known for its toilet paper and flushable wipes.)
-"But, Kells, the day you put out a hit's the day Diddy admits
That he put the hit out that got Pac killed, ah!"
(Em says the day you make a hit will be the day "Diddy" = MGK's boss will admit that he got Tupac killed (which he never will)
Plot Twist "Killshot is also a movie directed by John Madden. The plot features main character Carmen Colson, who is targeted by an experienced, psychopathic hitman. Machine Gun Kelly’s birth name is Colson Baker. Em uses the film as a metaphor for how he is the experienced rapper going after someone out of their depth."
There's also a line about how MGK gets "Swayze" after Em made a call to Interscope. the Actor Patrick Swayze died September 14th same day Killshot was released. Patrick Swayze acted in a move called "Ghost" meaning MGK was acting ghost when Em made that call. Deep. Everything is layered so much.
Also 2Pac died September 13th...
I feel like if Eminem didn’t have rebuttals people (probably mostly MGK stans) would be saying MGK won because Eminem didn’t address anything.
1/2 song is rebuttals 1/2 is attack. Nice editing!
