I'm thinking about building a story around this concept of races.
the concept of the story is the following: the main character is a man who has 2 curses on hin: he is Imortal and he is incapable of forgeting anything.
his imortality allowed hin to witness the rise and fall of humanity multiple times, and he can't forget this traumatic experience of seeing the death of everyone he ever met.
so with a lot of time to live and being able to store infinite knowledge, he slowly learned about the rules that compose the world and how to bend then to mold anything, both fisical things and imaterial things (like the soul) using his own soul, and with this he is able to both create, destroy, steal and give powers, talents and memories AND he can change, separate and mix body parts of any living being (so now you probably guess where this is going).
with this power of his, he whas able to create and perpetuate the axistence of any creature that has ever existed (including humans) while also being able to create extraordinary creatures, like feral beasts, plants and even humanoid hibrids (centaurs, minotaurs, giants, harpies, lamias, dragons, etc) whish makes hin basicly a god.
now you are probably wondering, "isn't that at least moraly questionable?". and about that, have I mentioned that he doesn't care about this because of his nihilistic view of the world that he got because of his curses? and that's why he is the villain of the story and the source of more than half of every conflict?
well, I hope some day I can make a game exploring this concept and story :^)

I literally have a character ask "Are you different races? Species? I'm not sure how that works" lol. I have 2 races (I guess technically, species, though their origin story lore hints that their evolution began together) of plant-human hybrids that have distinct magic and reproduction, plus humans. I decided I couldn't deal with mixing species so they're not biocompatible :)

    My elves...
They have a reproductive system of being obligate queuers, with a seperate male and female hierchy.
They have a longer gestational period, and they only hit puberty at 20, and their narrow frames on a humanoid bodyplan do severely limit their ability to produce offspring. They have a fertility rate of around 5.9 to 6.1 children per women, but only one in four women would reproduce, because of them being obligate queuers, and the young being so altricial, and the birthing process so heavy on the mother that many would be too busy caring for nieces and nephews upon becoming fertile, that they might not choose to have their own off-spring.
Bi-racial elves, have a unique way is that their colorations, to humans, there pigmentations look like the one of a generic white person, but to elves, having this combination would make them unusual. Also, those who are drow with dinurnal elves are typically predisposed to being late birds, nocturnal or diurnal, and tend to have very messy circadian rythms, or rather lack them entirely.
