They were the first concert I ever saw as well. Caught them in 1985 when they're self titled album came out (had Getcha Back on it). Great show. I was 14 or so, great times!
Man I love this song and this album! I got the cassette tape for my 11th birthday and few a years later I bought the CD wish they wouldn’t have taken the album out of circulation I would love it if i could listen to it on Apple Music or spotify and Amazon!

It can be "cool" for fans to criticise and say things like they became their own tribute act, being led by Mike Love, but the fact is that this is brilliant pop music!
One of the very best songs The Beach Boys ever came up with in my strong opinion. It should have been at least a top 10 hit . I liked it more than Kokomo to be honest but it did not get proper recognition
this album and the next album they released were left off the catalogs when they were re released for the digital platform. i understand summer in paradise being left off because thats 60% mike love 39% terry melcher and 1% beach boys. but still cruisin had some really good songs and was more of a group effort

A great song by The Beach Boys, underrated for sure. I loved it when they played it in the awesome 1989 action sequel movie "Lethal Weapon 2".
