- Welcome back! We are again working on the 2022 2500 and in this video we are showing how to upgrade to the High Country LED Headlights. This applies to the 2020 2021 and 2022 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD models and should be similar on the Sierra models.

Love my new 2022 Chevy 2500. But come on gm.. 70,000 truck with halogen bulbs. All trucks should have come with those housings.

Man you made that a lot harder to remover the front than it actually is. But I can see how people can be leary of pulling hard on a brand new front end. It takes maybe 15min to pull that front clip. So much better than my 2015.
Can the DRLs still function as DRLs, and do they come off when using your indicator?
I would really love to see this done but with the Chevy silverado custom instead because my father has a 2022 refeshed custom and would be interested to see if we could update the front end to the led headlamps
It's the same front end. I have the custom.
How much heat is generated by this resistor from Gen5DIY? Does it get so hot that it would melt other wiring and wire loom?

They are nice but really expensive.. I opted for the lasfit 300 changed every single light to LED
Lasfit is the only way to roll. I put them in all my vehicles

I did everything you did . I ordered the cables from gen5 , have oem led lights,but day light will not stay on only when you turn lights on . Is there something I did wrong or is something defective or I have to do something else? Can you please help,thank you in advance.
We did get a defective harness and contacted gendiy and they swapped it for us and the new one worked with no issue s and has been since But only one of the two didn't work. It should be plug and play tho. I would contact gendiy and see what they suggest.

How long was the install time?
because of filming it is really hard for me to gauge the amount of time it should normally take, probably 3-4 hours taking your time
Where do you get the lights from?
Directly from the dealer. We can source them for you if you are local to south jersey.
Is the harness the same for the 1500 trucks?
You would need to check with gen5diy most likely not.

Hey guys those lights are a rip off 2400 dollars for those gtfo. Chevy doesnt make there own headlights anymore old oem one have been discontinued they have a company making there oem headlights now called morimoto they have the original style for 1200 and a new style for 1800 on top of you can send uour halogen headlights to them for 400 dollar credit. Dont get ripped off by this gen5 pppl 2300 that’s ridiculous and it has scratches on it in the pics on there website.
I didn't realize you could get OEM housings directly from morimoto. We didn't buy the headlights through gen5 diy tho, we are a gm parts dealer and bought them direct, we only got the harness from gen5. Appreciate the tip!
When this video came out, this was the only way to do it. Now you can do cheaper ways since there are more brands making the headlights .
