After a very long time I have seen a video tutorial which is Simply Perfect! No unnecessary waste of time, informative and accurate. Great Job! Subscribed!!
Marty what do you do for a full time job? Has anyone told you could have the perfect voice for the tv show "how its made" lol! i swear its perfectly clear instructions and you always seem chipper and in a good mood :D
Great instructor taught me, don’t remember the steps. Remember what each function does. Learning functions learns photoshop. Following steps just makes you forget it after a month.
Thank you so much. You help me well. Can you do a tutorial explaining oil painting on CC2014 like we do on CC version. Adobe sometimes don't worry about somebodies needs. Bests
GREAT! It was really useful. I just have a question, What i have to do if I only need one part of the subject cover in the material? for example only the face. Thank you so much.
I tried this method to convert two real tulips, including the flowers, stems, and leaves, into blue-veined white marble, and it worked very well. But later, when I tried it again to convert the leaves and stems into green jade, I found that the jade texture wouldn't "wrap" around the stems and leaves; instead it was like looking through a plant-shaped hole at a flat slab of jade. Did it not work because the color of the original object was close to that of the texture I wanted to wrap around it? Should I change the leaves and stems to a completely different color and try it again?
It could be due to a number of reasons, however, it's not due to the colors. One would have to inspect your PSD file to determine the source of the problem.
Hi Marty. Very cute vid. But in my opinion the coronna of the statue doesn't look very realistic because of the same wood angle. How could i fix it? Maybe it is onla a matter of the patterns size?
Isolate those areas with a layer mask and reapply the original texture. manipulate the Transform Tool in warp mode to apply the texture in the correct perspective.
Hey, I'm a newbie, but trying to use this tutorial to accomplish a task. When I get to about 6:11 I realise that half my layers are in my original file, and I'm working on my Displacement file. I've tried this tutorial a few times, and I always seem to have this problem and don't know why. Everything else seems to work perfectly up until this moment. Can someone explain how to fix this, or where I'm going wrong?? Thanks!
@@BLTV_Photoshop no... i being refering the button isn’t disponible (in color grey) i changed to photoshop 2021 and it appeared as magic... but i can’t used it in cs6 ! Thankyou fot the tutorial 🙂
Hey Marty, first of all, I love your videos and how you explain stuff! I've achieved a lot of awesome results thanks to your tutorials! I also have a question. I'm currently trying to accomplish a task: I wanna photoshop a hand (pupload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3f/Index_finger_%3D_to_attention.JPG photo by Pogrebnoj-Alexandroff) so it kinda fits into a landscape. I used this tut and now the hand looks super awesome, but there's a sharp edge where the hand is "standing" in the landscape... Can you give me any tips on how to solve this? Here's how it looks: hero-in.com/self-destruct-images/gNcnHPs.htm I'm still on CS3 by the way. Thanks in advance and a happy new year to you!

You're welcome!
That is very likely the best example of a displacement mask I have seen. The contours were immaculately preserved.
One of the clearest instructions i've heard from a PS tutorial- and believe me i've watched a whole lot of dump!
Thanks! Please spread the word. :-)
As always "OUTSTANDING" Thanks Freddy

I am using a RAW file. Does it need to be JPG?
+goldenbutterflywings RAW files are waaaay larger than JPGs. Unless it's absolutely necessary, always use JPGs.
Gracias . Saludos

I didn’t have avaliable the distort... do you know why? 😣
If you're referring to the displacement map file, I suggested in the video that you save to your Desktop.

subscribed 👌👌👍👍👍
TITANIC charming
why i cant delete color when i press ctl+shit+U?
It could be due to one of many reasons, all of which are human errors because Ctrl + Shift + U is the default shortcut to desaturate.
Damn I never know this is possible
I cant go in distort
Go to Image > Mode > RGB color, 8 bits/Channel
