I love the video, and kept waiting for the one routine that you mentioned, but never heard how to set it up. That is the "refrigerator door" notice. I am currently using Wyze sensor and Echo Dot to announce when my front gate opens, but I can't figure out how to notify me (announce or otherwise) when that gate has been left open more than XX minutes. I'm a 71 year old nerd, and so far have about 35 different Wyze and Alexa devices. I'm always looking for more ways to be connected!
Ah I guess we did. Well it’s easy to setup. Once you pair up your open close sensor to the wyze click on the sensor and then click the gear icon in the upper left corner then select notification. You should see “if left open”. Click that and select a time period. Once you set that up if you leave the door open for that time you’ll get a notification on your phone. Let me know if you get it working. If it doesn’t work let me know that too.
Got it. We used to have issues and figured out our internet connection was too slow for the number of cameras we had. Also sometimes when looking at a group of cameras the 3 stage connection doesn’t complete. Not sure why that is but when we went to gigabit it seemed to mitigate it.
We switched to their newer system, as the one in this video is no longer supported per se. Based on the new Wyze Home Monitoring System, we haven't noticed any issues since the last update, however, we do not feel it is stable enough, not supported well enough, to publish a full review. It is good if you are just looking for good sensors but not a monitored security system. Here is our first look on this system. ua-cam.com/video/YsdvFk4-jdw/v-deo.html
I have around 20 wyze cameras that work great , my question is will the wyze motion sensor and door sensors work without buying the whole monitoring kit with the monthly fee all I want to do is monitor my doors opening and closing and have a motion sensor.
you know I'm not sure about having to pay the fee. we do as we use it. you will need the hub to be able to connect the latest sensors though. Here is their answer to your question, "A Service Subscription is required for the sensors to trigger Emergency Services. Without a Service Subscription, the sensors will only send a push notification to your phone." Confused? I am, it says without you get a push notification but it doesn't say if it can be used in a routine. I would chat with them to get the definitive answer. Unfortunately we can't check this out since we have the service.

Great video. Does the siren still work without a subscription?
not sure which siren. did you mean where alexa speaks? if yes then yes she still speaks.
What do you do with connection issues? one or two cameras lose connection or give error codes. I like this idea
Connection issues? Not sure the question.
@@Appmyhome Do your cameras get connection errors from time to time? if so, what do you do to fix them?

Do you still like the wyze home system , I’ve been hearing that a software up grade makes the hub go off line all the time.
