Gharab kuch nhi hota. Auto clean ek technology hai. Agar y technology filter wali chimneys me hoti hai to oil filters me aata hai then bacha hua oil collector me. Y filters and oil collector apko time to time wash karne padte hai (every 2 months approximately, depending on the type of cooking). Vahin, agar auto clean technology filterless chimneys me hoti h to (jo ki hoti hi hai) oil oil collectors me aata sirf (oil collector hi apko yaha clean karna hai), filters isme hote nhi hai.

In the case of filterless chimneys, what happens to all that oil and grease that was supposed to get trapped in the filters? They actually get trapped deeper within the chimney, from where it becomes more difficult to clean. Finally, the chimney will lose efficiency. Does the auto clean feature of these filter-less chimneys help to remove oil and grease from deep within the chimney? In the case of Baffle Filters, all that oil and grease get trapped at the initial stage itself, hence do not go deeper within the chimney. The filters can be manually cleaned, by visually inspecting them. Additionally, what ever oil and grease that escapes the filters and gets trapped within can be cleaned with the auto clean feature. So please tell us, why should we go for filterless Chimneys with a higher cost when filter less is actually detrimental to the efficiency and health of the chimney?
Hi @kanalord4134. There is a mesh in filter-less chimneys instead of filters. You can clean that mesh at home after asking the method of cleaning from service center team. In most cases users don't clean mesh manually at home. If you are cleaning, you must take advice from the service center team. Secondly, Oil and grease are collected in the motor in filter-less chimneys. The cleaning of the motor must be cleaned by the service center persons after 6 months or what they advise you. Now, if I am talking about the benefit of buying a filter and filter-less chimney, I will give you advice to buy a filter chimney (with auto clean feature) if your family uses heavy masalas daily in cooking. Because it is easy to clean filters manually at home when oil and grease sticks on filters. Filter-less chimneys are costly. But why do people buy these chimneys or why should you buy these costly chimneys?????? The first benefit of not cleaning the filters or not taking any kind of headache if you don't have time. Call the service centre, they will take care of your filter-less chimney. Filter-less chimneys are the next version of auto clean chimneys. Brands give you the ease of not taking any kind of tension. That's why filter-less chimneys are costly.

Also I feel asking service centre to come and clean chimney involves more head ache then cleaning done by self. Also after one year, these brands will start taking money for each service or ask us to sign a Annual maintenance contract(AMC). So this Filter less gimmick can be easily avoided , if we buy a good oil and grease remover ( Available online ) then simply clean the baffle filters, whenever we feel they have become too dirty. Some people feel irritated to clean the filters at home while others are not.
Filterless chimney have advance technology hence maintenance is high cost. More electronics in a device more likely it is that it will malfunction. Auto clean chimney with filter are little hassle free but still you have to clean the filter

Even simple electrician can repair it without much extra cost. Wave to wake is so not practical. Pushing buttons is much more easy task then waving like an idiot. Even touch buttons are liabilities. All these extra electronics is just for show and not covered under warranty for more than one year. So repair of all these heavy electronics chimneys is job of professionals and requires heavy maintenance cost. I would recommend buy Glen's dual baffle filter chimney. It will cost around 7-8k. And it's the only one made in India.
I have a limited budget for 60cms auto clean/filterless and have shortlisted Alstorm neo silver 60 and Alstorm Sigma 60. Are these good models and between the 2 which one shud I go for, considering both I'm getting below 8k? Will a filterless one make more or less noise than a baffle auto clean one ? Thanks
Hi @Anuj Mathur, I don't trust the chimney brand Alstrom. So I can't recommend you to buy from this brand. Which type of chimney you want to purchase a baffle filter or filterless? If you want a baffle filter chimney, you will get a good option from the top chimney brand Elica below 8k or in budget (without advanced technology like motion sensor, etc. But these advanced technology doesn't effect your chimney's performance. Because these advanced technologies are only for user's convience). Generally you should consider 58dB or below 58dB noise. And yes you will notice a less noise in filterless Chimneys than baffle filter chimneys. Because filters produces slightly more noise while sucking smoke than filterless technology.

Servicing toh free nahi hoti na madam. In metros, servicing cost is in between 1000 to 1500 I guess. Baffle filter me bas manual cleaning hai and maintenance kam aayega
See most of the time, servicing is free when your appliance is under warranty. Yes, agar koi special default aa gya ya koi new part lagna hai then you have to pay.. But generally, it is free. Hello @Khileshwar Kumar Dewangan Auto clean technology is very useful. You just have to press the auto clean button whenever you want to clean the chimney from inside. Oil will be collected in the oil collector after pushing auto clean button. This way, the cleaning and maintenance is easy without any manual intervention. But one thing you must keep in mind, auto clean technology doesn't mean ki apko filters kabhi clean nhi karne honge. Apko filters clean karne honge but kabhi kabhi. Otherwise auto clean technology apka Sara kaam kar degi. Because oil Sara oil collector me aa jayega apko kuch nhi karna hai.

Servicing toh free nahi hoti na madam. In metros, servicing cost is in between 1000 to 1500 I guess. Baffle filter me bas manual cleaning hai and maintenance kam aayega

Hi @harish kumar. Every appliance needs servicing after a certain period of time for the best performance. So apko bhi chimney ki servicing karwani chayiye after 6 months or 1 year according to your cooking habits.
And auto clean chimney me filters hote hai jo apko time to time ghar par hi clean karte rahene chayiye jisse apko chimney ki suction power achi rahe.

@@jaiprasad18 Hi, There are two things to consider mainly when you are deciding to buy Baffle Filter Chimney Or Filterless Chimney:
1. There are main differences in cleaning. If you don't want clean filters of the chimney and want less maintenance, choose a filterless chimney(In this, you only have to clean the oil collector). If you are ready for cleaning the filters of the chimney occasionally, buy a baffle filter chimney(You have to clean filters and oil collector both if you choose baffle filter chimney with auto clean technology or you can say an auto clean chimney). As filterless chimneys are advanced versions of auto clean chimneys (Because of the hassle-free cleaning and less maintenance).
2. Both baffle filter chimneys with auto clean technology (Auto clean chimney) and filterless chimney are good for Indian kitchens. But sometimes customers give the importance of choosing a baffle filter chimney with auto clean technology or an auto-clean chimney over a filterless chimney because of cooking with heavy oil and masalas. (I got this information after visiting different kitchen chimney showrooms).

Generally, apko 2 chimney sizes dekhne ko milenge: 60 CM aur 90 CM.
1. 60 CM chimneys two burner stoves k bht achi hoti hai. Agar apko bht achi performance chayiye to. Kuch log 3 burner gas stove k ly bhi 60 cm ki chimney le lete hai. Lekin vo lete samay apko do bataon ka dyan rakhna hai. Phele usme two baffle filters ho aur suction power jada ho.
2. Ap 75 CM chimneys par ja sakte agar apka 3 burner stove hai to. But generally customers 90 CM chimneys hi lena pasand karte hai agar unke pass 3 ya 3 se jayda (up to 5) burner gas stove hai to. Isse apko bht achi performance milti hai.
Kyuki rule y kaheta hai ki chimney ka size apke gas stove bada hona chayiye tabhi hi apko achi suction power milegi. Tabhi kitchen ka smoke, oil, grease and other particles ache se chimney suck kar payegi.
3. 90 CM chimneys 3 to 5 burner gas stoves k ly perfect hoti hai.
Ab apke case k bare me bat kar lete hai. Apne kaha apke pass 75 cm ka gas stove hai (me manke chal rahi hu isme kam se kam 3 burners to honge hi), to apko achi performance k ly 90 CM ki chimney leni chayiye. Kyuki chimney ka size gas stove se hamesha bada hona chayiye.
Note: Lekin agar ap 60 CM ya 75 CM ki chimney apne 75 cm gas stove k ly le rahi to dyan rakhiye ki usme two baffle filters ho ( single baffle filter na ho) and achi suction power honi chayiye.

If you have a small area in your kitchen (And you have more than 2 burner gas stoves), double baffle filter chimneys are good for a perfect performance as per my research and understanding (I recommend 2 chimneys that have double baffle chimneys with good suction power and auto clean technology from two best chimney brands Elica and Faber. Check my description box under the text "Other Product Recommendations"). Customers usually buy these chimneys from my website as I recommended these chimneys there also.
If you have a small area and 2 burner gas stoves, you can consider both a double baffle filter chimney and a filterless chimney. (If this is your case, I can suggest to you some good baffle filters and filterless chimneys).
Make sure to check the after-sales service in your area of that chimney brand you are going to buy (To check the availability of the service center in your area, for ex: type: Elica service center in Noida in Google. Call that service center to know about the servicing).
I am giving you my example here. I like the Bosch brand in dishwashers and I wanted to purchase a bosch dishwasher for my home but when I check the availability of the Bosch service center in my area, I don't find any bosch service center in my area, so I am buying IFB dishwasher for my family (IFB is also a good brand in dishwashers). I asked them agar me IFB dishwasher online ya offline kahin se bhi lu, to mujhe uski servicing milengi, they said yes ap kahin se bhi buy kare hum apko servicing denge.
I hope this will help you a lot to make a purchasing decision of any product.
In the case of 75 CM chimneys, I don't find any good chimney of this size, so I can't recommend any wrong or useless product to you.

Hi @Saswata, Generally you have to consider the noise 58dB or below 58dB. And the second thing is you find less noise in filterless chimneys than baffle filter chimneys. Because jab filters k through smoke and other particles suck hote hai to filters ish process me thoda Jada noise create karte hai rathr than filterless chimneys.

How works Auto clean technology.
Hello @Khileshwar Kumar Dewangan Auto clean technology is very useful. You just have to press the auto clean button whenever you want to clean the chimney from inside. Oil will be collected in the oil collector after pushing auto clean button. This way, the cleaning and maintenance is easy without any manual intervention.
But one thing you must keep in mind, auto clean technology doesn't mean ki apko filters kabhi clean nhi karne honge. Apko filters clean karne honge but kabhi kabhi. Otherwise auto clean technology apka Sara kaam kar degi. Because oil Sara oil collector me aa jayega apko kuch nhi karna hai.
