- Prepare for cute-ness with the new Betty Confetti kiddo dress pattern by Terri Bocklund, designed with our Making Tracks DK in mind. Plus, we’ve doubled our line of Making Tracks Lite by adding five new colorways: In the Clearing, Carnival, Hay Day, Midnight Plum, and Tangerine Twist. And we sourced another round of wool to send down to Chargeurs for scouring - this time, it’s soft and crimpy Rambouillet! Have you been knitting the Lindal Sweater as part of our Knit-Along? Check in on our progress (or lack thereof) and use #jfmkal to share yours on social. We hope you can join us for the upcoming Virtual Knit Night (July 31) and for our Meetup at Rhinebeck.

Intro: "Wordsmith" by Julian Lage from Modern Lore
Always enjoy your Mill casts so much. As a child on an island in Maine we sheared our 75 sheep every summer. My brothers and I had to stomp our wool in a frame and pack those big wool bags tight, then roll each one across a field, down a steep slope. ( hoping it would not get away from us and roll in the ocean.) We then would load each wool bag in a dory, take it ashore, drive them to the Knox Woolen Mill in Camden Maine. Great memories!
Awesome!
Thanks Peggy and Amanda. I used to say when I worked in a building with no AC, "the productivity goes down as the day goes on." I hope your heat breaks soon. Thankful for technology so you could pump on the hike!
We are hoping for some cooler weather soon!!!
That Betty Confetti dress! The colors are terrific in your colors!
We think so too!
Beautiful colorways. That girl’s dress was adorable
Thanks so much!
Your podcasts always make me want to visit Vermont ! ❤❤❤
Come on over!
I saw the Sleeping Beauties exhibit at the Met when visiting my daughter end of June, it was AMAZING. Andrew Bolton, the curator, has such vision and creativity. Those dresses are absolutely adorable!
We agree!
Enjoyed hearing about your weekends as much as all the knitting 😁💜. I think I need that kids dress as an adult top! So fun to see your excitement about the wool and your knitting. I did keep waiting for you to mention all that blue gorgeousness behind you!!😂
It is Birdsong!
I appreciate all that you do to keep working in this heat. I am currently in Italy vacationing with my son and parents , sister and family so I feel very lucky… can’t wait to start my Lindal cardigan when I get back and possibly wear it at VT sheep and wool. It is indeed a lovely festival!
Safe travels!!
A swamp cooler!!!! Adds humidity and cools the environment
Sounds good to me!
Love how you posted your products!!
Thank you!!
I love your episodes so much! The little girl dresses are so cute, and I will now go to Ravelry. Your yarn is so amazing. Happy creating 💚🧶💚
Thank you so much!
Hi ladies just love your episodes & yarn 🧶. Dresses beautiful 🤩
Thanks so much 😊
Love those little dresses. Hope you don't melt. 🇬🇧
Thank you!!
So funny, thanks for the mountain climbing story! It is a “mammary memory”! Still working on my Lindal cardigan
LOL
That dress is so adorable ❤

Another great one ladies!!! See you at the open house in a few weeks and then at VT Sheep and Wool. We will be staying at Peg’s cottage!!! Yeah October…bring on the fall! 8-)
Woo-hoo!
Thanks for sharing pics of the Sleeping Beauty exhibit! Love the dress Maeve modeled too. Wish it was in adult sizes! I’m sorry I’m with Peggy, I can’t knit with wool yet so will be joining your KAL a little later.
Glad you enjoyed the episode! Stay cool!
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Hello! Thanks for watching!
Saw the dress pics on Insta and definitely have to make some for the littles 💖
You should!
Oooh... VERY interested in what comes of your Rambouillet. I've handspun Rambouillet and ended up with "elastic" wool out of which I knit leggings-- it was that bouncy and stretchy! So excited to see what you get...
Stay tuned!!
So much fun watching you two! Thanks for another great edition of the millcast.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What fun to sit and knit while you chat about all the yarny goodness! Betty Confetti is the cutest! Thanks so much for another great Milcast!
Thank you so much!
Best part of the week, watching what's up at the mill.
I love that little dress design, so sweet, it's hard to pick a favorite color.

Thanks so much!
If it’s a dry heat up there maybe a swamp cooler will work ? Military used them in Afghanistan and Iraq .
Wow that little dress is so cute. And in Making tracks! Thank you ladies.
Thanks for watching!
Will you have Betty Confetti kits? That wold be a fun KAL.
We are deep into the Lindal KAL but that is a good idea!
My beautiful yarn arrived yesterday, and I caked it up, and knit (and blocked) a swatch for my Lindal cardigan! I'm getting stitch gauge (19st/4") but my row gauge is only 26 rows, and it's supposed to be 32. Did you guys get 32 rows over 4"? Since this is knit sideways, I'm thinking I'll have to knit a size up to accommodate my off row gauge. And, by the way, the cranberry colored sweater that you finished and showed last week, Peg, is a triumph! Gorgeous and interesting....well done.

Love your podcast and that dress is adorable, What are the knit along rules, could I knit along if I can't get your wool in New Zealand, I have some handspun I could use for the contrast. If it's a mustvusebyour yarn that's ok.
To be entered in the drawing, you need to use 80% JFM yarn, but that doesn't mean you can't join in the fun and knit along with us!
Can you make yarn, run the machines at night? I know that no one wants to work second shift, but that will help during the heat wave.
Prefer to be in my bed at night but an idea!
What’s all the beautiful blue wool behind you?!
That's The Deep End!
@@savagehartfarm9057 Thanks! It’s gorgeous.
Thanks I came to ask that same question!
That is Birdsong!
@@junctionfibermill Love it!
Dress is so cute. Does any shop in Massachusetts carry making tracks? Webs or north Hampton wools?

I think it is Pumpkin Patch with both Zinnia and Carnival
@@junctionfibermill CORRECTION: It is Pumpkin Patch and Carnival - no zinnia! Liz from JFM
What is that beautiful Blue behind you?
Birdsong! :)
