Latham needs to work on his run blocking/quick setting/2nd level stuff a bit, ducks his head at times, gets off balance 2:43, 5:47, but he was absolutely dominant in pass protection!! He has Batman type grip strength and his kick slide looks more smooth this season 0:20, 1:24, 2:36, 3:39, 6:01, 6:49
My thoughts exactly! Seems like most of his whiffed blocks happen at the second level against quicker LB's, but his grip strength is unreal and he shows the awarness to pick up the stunt at 11:17. He was one of the top recruits in his class for a reason. He's one of my favorite prospects in the draft
@@mloewthegamer8532 yeah completely agree and that's not something I am super worried about. I really like him as well, and I don't see why he cannot be a top 10 pick!
The grip strength is special. It’s his super power. With respect to the 2nd level stuff, I question how much better he’ll get relative to the people he’ll be going up against. I also question his scheme versatility: watch him in the few reps where they run outside zone to his side and you see limitations in terms of foot speed and overall explosiveness to be able to block those plays at the next level. He’s a gap scheme guy at the next level, which is fine for some teams.
@@joeynickles7962 Yeah completely agree, like at 0:59 not even sure what he was trying to do there, but it'll be the big question with him because so many team now run some form of outside zone heavy concepts, so for like half of NFL teams he's probably going to be lower than Fuaga on there board. Lol yeah definitely the Superpower!! He's probably going to be picking up cars in the pre-draft process or something!!
