Steve I appreciate your service and your son Matt’s service. He actually serves with my son in law in Jacksonville. My daughter was a crew chief in the Air Force and all of our friends are retired military. You’re absolutely correct, anyone who serves or served deserves nothing but respect. No need, especially for a civilian, to treat anyone legitimately trying to deliver on a base with disrespect! If it wasn’t for our service members we wouldn’t be doing what we are able to do today. Hey Steve! Thanks for the come back today, it was a pleasure to chat with you. Good we had a long day paving at the feed mill or I wouldn't have caught you going by. Steve, good to see you.. seems like theyre trying to starve you out . Been there a time or two.but your gettin her done thats what its all about! Keep it goin have a safe trip😊
Hi Steve, just found your channel today about delivering at a Sub base, Thank you for your service, Air Force veteran here, well I kinda have the same thing only it was at Sasebo, Japan The Japanese guard noticed that I have a rental car with full coverage mind you. That's the start of my problems, they would not let me in because I have an old DAV/PRM card with Indefinite. My wife can spronsor me in, but we have to leave the rental off-base( where there was no legal parking lot) And they were asking me all kinds of crap that I have no idea what it was. So, I cannot sleep at the Navy Lodge that night. Well at the end, we have to look for a different hotel for that night. So if anyone who is not stationed in theatre forget about sleeping on base, unless you can just walk into the base and have the newest ID card. Which my ID was still good when I asked Pass & ID Stateside.
Gets me that these places do not have an unload area away from the sensitive stuff, I did contract repair, modify construction in a UK munitions storage facility. The stuff that went bang went straight in, other stuff for the depot went through the sally port system. Our stuff went to a holding yard, then onsite staff would take it through the sally port as needed. It cut down a lot on drivers/trucks being processed. On another Metro project in London we had a main site, then we had small sites along the route. I produced a set of maps and instructions to help delivery divers as some places were tight to get into. The order clerk would attach the particular sheet needed for the drop off. But talking to drivers onsite many had not been passed the instruction sheet, hey you can lead a horse to water but you can't make em drink. PS I've done that as well with plough horses. Love hearing that lump roar reminds me of the crash box days, thanks stay safe and glad you met some good uns.
Hey Steve, it was great to see you and Orwell running around my neck of the woods. You were right across the river from Schenectady Airport where I retired from the 109th Air Wing. Home of the LC130 Ski Birds. Keep it safe, Brother!
I have watched a few of your videos, and never realized you were Air Force. I was a U.S. Army 63E Abrams Tank System Hull Mechanic. Thank you for your service both as Military and as a Truck driver. o7
Hi Steve. When I was trucking I had a plug in cooler that worked just like a refrigerator. My wife would make sandwiches, meals , deserts and beverages to take with me. I avoided high priced truck stops and ate healthier and I always had something to eat. That cooler saved me many times. Just a thought. I enjoy your content.
I just got a look, and pics, of Orwell in Maine at 6:45pm. It’s Friday September 20th. I drove in the parking lot and there it was. The truck was running and the drivers window rolled down. I didn’t know whether Steve was catching z’s or outta the truck. I took pics of both sides and as I was driving by, Steve was walking up beside the truck. I have no idea where he came from. He waved to me and I hope I waved back. I couldn’t decide whether to turn back around to meet him or if he was getting ready to drive at night. Steve, my wife told me to go back and meet you. I didn’t want to hold you up from you moving forward. Whether you were going to download content or driving to your next load. I’m not a trucker, I’m just a fan. I just plain respect what you do. Thank you for your service in the military and to your son, also.
Not really: you just get assigned a load by your employer, who mostly doesn't check if you are allowed to enter those facilities. I've delivered on government/military properties and the only thing the planning said was "make sure you have valid identification like a passport on you".
Some of these guys just like to be dicks towards people because they know that the chances of you actually doing something about it are pretty slim. But of course, there's the off- chance that they bad mouth the wrong guy who doesn't care who you are, where you've been, and how much trouble they can get into, and just dishes out that knuckle sandwich anyway and makes them humble for awhile.
Was y able to get it unloaded? We don't do military loads anymore. After one of the guards at the gate made a rude and hateful remark when he ran Jesse's CDL. And was like this and that and Jesse jumps out and said your commanding officer is one of my best friend's and if i was u i would answer your cellphone right now. The guard's cellphone was going off none stop. He was removed from guard duty. And our friend who is a commanding officer appears and he had the guy go somewhere and he was crying. The Captain was not happy about the incident but happy seeing Jesse. Jesse was honorably discharged from the army. After the incident that happened in Afghanistan. He sued the other military for what they did to his brother's (3 friend's) two of them Jesse knew since he was 3 and the other one they all met while serving together and became good friend's.
The Sub Base is Dept of Defense and Lab is Dept of Energy. GE probably runs the lab for DOE. I work a DOE lab as a contractor, they don't mess around with security.

it is the same way delivering to a prison every gate you go through they close behind you and they search under the whole ring with their mirror on a stick. I delivered to the prison on 94 in Michigan back in the 80’s that was the largest prison in the country I’m sure they have probably built several bigger than that nowadays

Hey Steve, I know what you mean about getting on top-secret military bases. there is a place in Knoxville Tennessee called y12 it’s where the atomic bomb was built in World War II I believe but I used to work for a drilling company and we were doing a job on that property so they could build more structures in the security guard singled me to go through the gate. I went through the gate and then I got surrounded by 10 guards with guns and pulled out of a company work truck. like I was some Terrace threat, whenever the name of the company was on a DOT vehicle
@@fsctruckingThose are contracted positions by a security service and there is accountability. The military can pull contracts away from contractors when they get to be a problem. Taking the load back and costing them money is a big problem, along with not having the product when they needed it. He's just betting on the fact that no trucker is ever going to do that.
sounds like delivering to a prison.. usually they have a holding area where your inside the fence where they search the truck… they open the inner gate to unload area where prisoners unload your truck.. then you go back to holding area.. they search your truck again.. then you leave… whole time your inside the second gate your in with the prisoners.. they walking around & unloading or loading your truck
At some facilities run by defense contractors doing top secret projects truck drivers are not allowed on the property and they have to get out of their truck at the gate and someone from the facility will drive the truck back and unload it.
Hey Steve, sometimes you can think outside the truck stop, and find a nice sit down restaurant like Chili's or something with a big parking lot in a retail area so long as you move along In a couple hours, nobody ever bothers me about it.
I’ve been stopped going into different bases in the US, but never kicked off or denied entry. They usually run your background before you arrive. They look at my ID and let me through or call for an escort. Maybe the security guy doesn’t like truckers. 😂

@danielseelye6005 Maybe they just need to go and get the stuff they ordered in the first place instead of being picky about who delivers it. I would have solved that problem real quick, I would simply have taken it back where I picked it up and said that they refused the load and gave them the guy's name who gave me shit over nothing, and I would have demanded compensation for making the trip.

Steve, I’m thinking it’s time for you to retire and quit trucking. Your content has been let’s say, a little different over the past 5 or 6 videos now. I’ll say more towards the angry side. I get it , you’re fed up and your content is showing it. I remember when you used to comment about boating every time you crossed a water way and where you’d want to boat next. That’s the guy I enjoyed watching.. Maybe some time off and recharge your batteries. lol! Just a little constructive crittism and not shitting on you . Still respect you and what you do. Keep trucking! There was a very very close call in the last couple weeks ago where a guy came into Toronto canada from some Asian country and then went to Quebec where he crossed into the states and was taken into custody by the feds who were watching him for carrying a shit ton of bombs and stuff to cause a fuck load of damage similar to 9-11 some where in the states. So I get why the bases are on high ignorant alert. I don’t fault them. It’s the times we live in dude. Put up or shut up I guess. As for for holding a bucket of water while the guy burns is a little over the top even for you. Face it. He’s old and has a little time left. He’s probably living on borrowed time. Let him enjoy it. Remember, we will be in his shoes in the not so distant future. lol!
You really don't want to talk openly about the internal security at bases... loose lips sink ships. But I am also seeing why you are so upset at how the old man treated you.

Hunger is always our guest in these long journeys !!! LOL😩
God he sounds great going up the box
Steve, do you get extra money for those time delayed Naval loads?
popo hiding in the rest area lol
Haven't noticed recently, have you replaced that left bottom gauge. Thanks 😊
@FSC Trucking oh a youtuber that is a owner/operator with the channel JustTruckin is having hard time getting loads down south, he also has a spare cab-over... I was thinking you might want to reach out to him to see about getting his spare truck the cab-over..
He has my number.
The DOT guy probably wasn't worried about you. He was just using the same facility as you were. Someday you need those people so don't knock them . They are doing a thankless job ,
Merhaba çok güzel bir video olmuş 😍 ❤
You should keep some snickers bars in the cab....
You're in upstate NY man pull off the road a little bit and put on your 4ways😂and get your food oj coffee 😂
Steve, WTF is a Sally Port? Military terminology for anyone other than enlisted is a Sally? IDK
He explained it, but you can use your little fingers to look it up. Like a big boy.
Another tuff guy 😂!! When does it ever end lmfao! Just asking a question thats all.
You must be that old civilian guy at the Groton stop Steve's been talking about.
@@kevint6672 No, you're being lazy and entitled. If you really cared to know, you would go to Google or Wikipedia and just look it up, learn about the history of them from old castles and fortresses and the rationale for them, but you didn't.
You expected, nay demanded, that Steve educate you on something that he _already_ explained in the video, point by point. The whole process he went through and why he did it.
You didn't learn from him. Alright, so look it up on your own in a manner that you can learn better from. Don't be a dingus.
Think of it like a fence "air lock"
Ever been through west point security check point it was no fucking joke I worked for a construction co there for a year and they didn't fuck around!
I've been on West Point.
Good evning brother
Never blame others for the road you’re on. It’s your own asphalt
DAMN....😂
Thay need to do that at the border
No more nuclear id say
Yep, it's gone.
lol did they take your samsara camera as well?
No. And they were not going to. It's hard wired in.
FSC that guy at Groton is a prick. My sister always has to pull rank on him. She was a 1st lieutenant US Army medical corp. When she got out she enlisted in the US Navy reserves public health service. Her current rank is Master Chief same as a Lieutenant Colonel. She goes int their to conduct surprise inspections of their sick bay as part of her job.
So she KNOWS him?
That’s a confusing inspection station
I’m in your neck of the woods tonight Wisconsin
Can never tell when a ex military person is behind you and there's another one behind that one you mess with one of us you mess with the other one
I served in the Navy started in 2001 9/11 and end 2006
Sorry, this store is currently unavailable.
Cabovers are so much better than nosed trucks. You can maneuver much better in tight spaces because you have the front axle right under your butt.
Do you still have an egg cup for breakfast
A msn can survived for 2 days without water and 5 days without food. The issue, without food and water in a quarter of a day, you get fatigued and start acting stupid when you least expect it. Not a good thing to keep a trucker starving
All of those places don't impress me. Look at what they allow us to have. It's all junk. You're lucky to buy anything and take it out of the package, and it works. My classmate. His brother was in the Navy. Subs. Into the nuke power plants. Extremely hard to pass the class. He said he messed up on taking the job. All he did was read the meters and cleaned out the bottom of the sub. Extremely boring job. What he said.
🍭SWEET🍭🙏🏼💖👍🏻🇺🇸🌞
Hi there Steve did u get the frame back for the cabover Ford and will u be my 100 subscriber on here

Какой двигатель на вашем траке ?
His truck has a 400hp turbo charged Caterpillar 3406B mechanical diesel engine under the cab.
