Ok, so.. WOW this video got a lot of views fast! Thank you & I hope eveyone feels very welcome here! I though I would answer some FAQs & address some things. 🔸 The strings I used in this video are called Craft Cord by Loops & Threads 🔸 The strings were about 2 meters long (They then become 1 meter each when folded) 🔸 I show you how to make the loop here: ua-cam.com/video/dPcpD-i2D0U/v-deo.html 🔸 I teach you all about knot types & how to make them here: ua-cam.com/video/bClGNDcndMg/v-deo.html 🔸 I teach you how to make the triangle end at the bottom of the bracelet here: ua-cam.com/video/05sDSDDr5rM/v-deo.html I've seen people commenting that the video is too fast & difficult for them to understand and I just want to address that. The target audience for this video are people who are already somewhat experienced in making bracelets, which is why the process of me making the knots is sped up - it is literally the most basic part of making a bracelet. However, if you feel you need a tutorial on how to make these knots in-depth, I would again suggest you watch a different video of mine where I teach you just that ua-cam.com/video/VWaLzpg6TAU/v-deo.html People also seem to be annoyed that I split the instructions in separate videos rather than showing everything in one video. To that I say that this video is already 15 mins long as is. If I had included tutorials on everything I mention in one video, it would have been well over an hour long. Plus, I run a whole channel & I use the same techniques in several of my videos. Making one video & referencing it is much easier & much more convenient for both me & the viewer than demonstrating the same thing over & over again in every single video. And finally, I want to say thank you to everyone who has shown me love on this video & to everyone who has criticised/raised their concerns in a respectful manner. This was the first video I made in a very long time and it is your constructive criticism & my own self-reflection that has allowed me (and still allows me) to grow as a creator, so thank you. However, ❗❗ I do not tolerate any hate or verbal abuse on my channel ❗❗ If you express your concers/criticisms in a hateful manner, with name-calling and verbal abuse, you will be blocked from commenting on my channel. Making bracelets is a relaxing hobby for me & many others and I created this channel to be a safe space for everyone who joins. That sounds really cool! I’m a pre-teen and love making these, although I stick to easier patterns cause I still suck at these lol. Kids at my school are charging a dollar or so to make bracelets for them. They are making the spiral ones I think.
You're so creative. Back in the 60's -- waaaay back in the 60's -- we were crazy for macrame, made things all the time. Never came anywhere close to a design like this. We made a lot of plant hangers though! Thank you for this vid.
I loved this video. I used to make friendship bracelets for all my friends when I was in 5th grade, way back in 1991! I used to just figure patterns like this out, but they'd never quite work. This is seriously art in it's execution. :)

This video has a special place in my heart. I started making bracelets in 9th grade which was not a great time in my life, and knotting helped me cope. The fishbone chevron was the second bracelet I ever made, right after the chevron (as per your suggestion to start with the chevron) and that bracelet kept me sane. You and your bracelets bring a lot of joy into this world. Thank you so much for all you do.
I Love this pattern!! Thank you so much for making tutorial. I made one for my 10year old niece and she love it. All of her friends are jealous:D This is relatively easy cause its chevrons and you actually explained it very well. If you guys thinks its complicated, try it with fewer colors. So instead of 11 colors try 7 or 9 colors. Ps: Sorry for my bad English.
Thank you so much! Your video was very, very helpful! I tried to follow a pattern of this bracelet, but gave up when I couldn’t figure it out. You our video made it so very easy and I’m very excited to create one just like yours! You rock!!!!
Great video..! I tried this pattern the next day and the bracelet is lovely. The video is quite straight forward.. as much as it looks complicated on screen its quite simple. On to the next! I really enjoy your videos!
okay actually thank you so much! i’ve heard about segment knitting and never understood but you really helped! i made this bracelet row by row and it was very tedious but now it actually looks fun to make omg thank you!
To avoid the strings from knotting, I wrap the ends around a bobby/hair pin and secure it with the same bobby pin (if that makes sense) then I just release as much thread as I need. Not sure if it’s helpful for anyone, but for me it changed the way and speed I do bracelets and can have whatever length ☺️
I don't know why I thought section knotting would be harder than row by row. This really demystified it for me. Thank you! This one is my next project!
Hey thanks for the videos! I’m new to making bracelets but I found that black electrical tape works very well to hold down the bracelet. You can put a good amount of tension on it and peel it up and stick it down several times. It was all that I had. I’m not sure how the adhesive would treat different types of fabrics but I say you should give it a try!
so glad I found your channel! I have a small jewelry business where I make and sell string and bead jewelry, and i’ve been wanting to find some new designs that aren’t crazy complicated!!

✨🦋Wow! It’s easier than I thought it was gonna be, it only took me 3 days( I usually take more than that) and I’m very surprised. It is a very beautiful bracelet that I love so much. I really really like it 🦋✨
Valerie Russell it’s two strand embroidery thread if you use the 8 strand is not as strong as the two strand so I would recommend the two strand thread hope this helps🙂
I don't know if this will come across as racist or not, but thank you for making this video more understandable to English speaker. I watched 2 other videos of yours and really liked them, but they were spoken in another language that I couldn't understand. So thank you! *And I am subscribed. I enjoyed the last 2 videos I watches even without the closed captioning! XD
Oh my goodness, I love watching your videos. I did attempt this bracelet, and it is easier than it looks, but it turned out pretty good. But now how do I end it? On yours it looks like you have all of the strings in the center, and then you did a little tie thing with each side.
@@MashaKnots I did find that tutorial and finish the bracelet. I sent you a picture of the finished bracelet to your Instagram. I am struggling with the pattern starts though. What I mean by this is that it seems not all patterns work with a loop, or with a tear drop. I do understand that is has to be and even number of strings for those to work, but I can’t figure out where to start the patterns after completing the tear drop. If that makes sense.
I like the time lapses too but I especially love how deep you got there ! I actually want to use these to make ribbons to attach to the hems of sewing projects I make. Is there no way to attach more thread instead of trying to knot like 2 metres of thread I'd probably need for the hem ?
I knew someone would appreciate them haha! And yeah, there definitely is a way to attach more thread, I'll make a video on it soon but in the meantime, there's a lot of good photo tutorials online that you could check out!
I stumbled upon your video and put it on my watch later playlist a while ago. However I completely forgot until literally tonight 😂 AND LUCKILY I HAVE SO MUCH YARN, I COULD DO THIS!! YAY! Thank you for making this video. Subscribed and I will absolutely follow you on Instagram ^_^
Thank you for your awesome instructions. This bracelet is gorgeous. I'm trying to make one now and it's taking so much time. So what would you sell this bracelet for?
Does the base of the loop color have to be part of the bracelet pattern? For instance could it be a black loop, then finishing with rainbow teardrop finish

blooming leanna you just just do a regular look 💛
Loop*
Jasmine W. Thank you!
This was my first bracket I made and it's goin so well
After learning the basics im your beginners Playlist and doing a chevron it's amazing how this video went from: huh?? To: wow that's surprisingly easy
Love the colors you used here for this one
Just so you know these are going to become big soon ,a new trend
I like it, brings back a lot of memories when I used to make them 30 years ago, very nice work 👍👍😊
I think I've just found a new Fav channel
Welcome! :)
Oooh! I was segment knotting from the beginning, and I didn't even know!
I crochet hackysacks and I want to learn this.. I also have beautiful colored kinds of cotton..I am also in London as you are. This one looks amazing.
just a question: do i have to use a teardrop loop or can i use a normal loop?
fanta syy it’s your choice but when you do the knot it looks wired because there are so many strings
Aditdi S weird:)
Wow! 🤩 Cool pattern!
Only been 17 seconds and I already subscribed
Haha welcome, welcome! :)
@@MashaKnots 😁
What kind of string do you use? Is it embroidery thread?
Valerie Russell it’s two strand embroidery thread if you use the 8 strand is not as strong as the two strand so I would recommend the two strand thread hope this helps🙂
The one that I specifically used in this video is the Craft Cord by Loops & Threads :)
@@MashaKnots Thank you so much. I do a lot of paracord bracelets, but these friendship bracelets are gorgeous and I am looking forward to trying them.
I saw this yesterday, and I went out to buy some thread because I am making this! TO-DAY!
have fun!
Beautiful pattern. What kind of thread you use?
I don't know if this will come across as racist or not, but thank you for making this video more understandable to English speaker. I watched 2 other videos of yours and really liked them, but they were spoken in another language that I couldn't understand. So thank you! *And I am subscribed. I enjoyed the last 2 videos I watches even without the closed captioning! XD
A really nice effect for a pattern that is not that hard! Thanks!
I make this bracelet, but the end slightly different 😁
Thanks for sharing you genius works
Just finished this one....it came out great!!
I never knew it was this easy! Thanks!
Oh my goodness, I love watching your videos. I did attempt this bracelet, and it is easier than it looks, but it turned out pretty good. But now how do I end it? On yours it looks like you have all of the strings in the center, and then you did a little tie thing with each side.
Triangle ends! I have a tutorial on that too
@@MashaKnots I did find that tutorial and finish the bracelet.
What are the measurements used? I loved this video but I found it a bit confusing as there wasn't an outline of measurements.
Subscribed and I will absolutely follow you on Instagram ^_^
its good !!!!!!! 😍😍😍.but how long have you been doing you chain?
How long did you make each thread before you folded them? Xx
Please read the pinned comment
Thank you for your awesome instructions. This bracelet is gorgeous. I'm trying to make one now and it's taking so much time. So what would you sell this bracelet for?
Oh my gosh it worked! Thank you for this!!!!😚
How long should each string be?
I have the same question

i agree with you on the timelapse and the motivation. ur amazing
what a beautiful bracelet!!!
Can you do this pattern with different numbers of string?
yup! The colours will repeat much sooner in the pattern tho
Love this design, A must try!
Does the base of the loop color have to be part of the bracelet pattern? For instance could it be a black loop, then finishing with rainbow teardrop finish
I just made this! My first bracelet with over 20 strings! IT TURNED OUT AMAZING AND WAS SO EASY! the photo is currently pending on bracelet book.
