What a fascinating rendition. The cadenza is interestingly wonderful. I'm thrilled by both the pianist's, the orchestra's and the conductor's performance. Bravo !!! 👏👏👏
This is opera, played by a mozart look alike , and conducted by the splendid and a little bit underestimated J.W. De Vriend. His mozarts and beethovens are always thrilling.
I remember hearing Dejan Lazic for the first time being impressed by his performance online, and to my surprise, after a family member reserved tickets for a concerto in the Amsterdam orkestgebouw (living in the Netherlands), I saw it was this very pianist that was going to play, while neither of us looked into it beforehand. That was quite a lucky coincidence!
what is great is that via You Tube we can access LIVE performances of great music by all levels of artists from around our one world. I'll put up with Dejan Lazić's alleged Lang Lang mannerisms all day long (I think he's quite able to do his own). A concert hall in my home ..... can't be bad ....
Excelente. AVROTROS somente publica concertos de excepcional qualidade visual e inigualável sonoridade. Esta orquestras executa Mozart com extraordinária perfeição. Belo concerto! Só nos resta agradecer. Muito obrigado
I am playing the 3rd movement on October 28th with the St. Charles Community College Orchestra and Missouri Baptist University String ensemble combined!
Bravo the orchestra. The pianist? What a boring performance. Except for the cadenza, when he finally discovered that his fingers really did have muscles in them and not whipped cream, and for parts of the 3rd movement, he sapped the energy from one of Mozart's best concertos. All that quiet, dainty, delicate puffery ruined it. I've heard stronger performances of "Mary Had a Little Lamb." If you want to hear bold, energetic performances of this concerto check out (here on YT) the ones by Danil Trifonov and Andrew von Oeyen. You'll see (hear) what I mean.
Having read two negative comments from Mr. Merkel, I think we get the message that the performance was boring. If it was that bad the first time why torture yourself a second time writing about the same piece. Get pleasure by finding the Daniil Trifonov recording, I have heard him and it is excellent.
An interpreter must not add notes that alter the original work of a composer, less in a moment as sublime as the adagio. That improvisation upsets all the original balance of the work, which is a pity, because until then it was a good interpretation (nothing extraordinary, but good), but with what he did at the end of the second movement he ruins everything.

Wonderful and precise piano performance of pianist. Beautiful to see & hear performer and orchestra. Thank you.
Mozart is smiling from heaven!
With that pianist, Mozart has left the building. Boring. Except for the orchestra.

dit is genietsjend ta de teannen út
🥰👍
Is that the pianist's own cadenza? If not, whose is it?
Очень интересная и фривольная интерпретация Моцарта. Гдето местами даже эпоха не Моцарта а нынешняя слышится
Wonderful! Who are the cadences by?
Is it just me but he appears to be making love to the piano!! Certainly getting beautiful results!!!
The pianist is quite good. It appears that his role model for mannerisms is Lang Lang. :-)
Mooi. Maar vergis ik mij dat het samenspel tussen orkest en solist best lastig was?
Whose cadenza is this?
not Mozart's cadenza I'd say .....
