I especially appreciate the way you talk about the mental spaces we go through in growing plants. Not every plant makes it and it can mess with our confidence. You feel so relatable sharing all your inner dialogue. Thank you!
I definitely propagate year round but you're right, there's just something about propagating in spring that's extra exciting. I've had success with perlite for alocasia corms but i definitely want to start experimenting with sphagnum moss.
Back in November, my Adonsonii took a turn for the worse and I didn’t know what to do. I saw your video about propping bare nodes in sphagnum in plastic containers. So I cut up my Adonsonii and propped 8 nodes. All but one rooted and grew foliage! I now have 7 little healthy plants! It took 3 months, but totally worth it! Thank you Harli for showing me how!!❤️
My verrucosum grow in my regular house (50-65%). The secret is to grow them in moss. I have one climbing my albo. It took off so fast I didn’t even get a chance to move it.
The best part of prop boxes and terrariums: Little surprises hidden in the moss! 😂 I’ve found so many mystery plants that somehow grew without my knowledge or care. I just found a syngonium starlight that I thought was a goner but apparently a piece of it got lost in the moss and BAM!….she’s baaaAAAACK! 🌱
Moss is my go to all the time! I have success with perlite too. Idk where people came up with the whole "cant prop" during certain seasons....Alot of people would clutch their pearls at the things I do with my plants in the colder months.
Harli Jean ScissorHands😂😂- listen. Last year you posted the prop video in your grow tent and I went crazy! Watched the video dozens of times and chopped every plant I owned lol!! I haven't even watched this one yet and I am so excited! ❤❤
Have you done a video about how you transfer your sphagnum grown props to traditional soil potted plants? I’ve really been enjoying my first propagation boxes taking off for the past few months but I have a lot of fear around getting some out of the boxes that I’d love to pot up again, especially ones that are my only pieces since I took the cuttings to save some when I could see I was going to lose the mother plant in the winter.
I love your videos, I definitely listen to the videos while I repot or propagate. It helps to feel like I have company. But i do watch the videos to learn too :)
Love watching your videos! I need to do lots of propagation myself. A little scared as I’m fairly new to being a crazy plant parent but I’m totally addicted being 4 months in. I already have 32 plants and 7 currently being propped. It’s so satisfying watching them sprout roots! Haven’t tried the moss yet but love the idea of the salad container! I’ve only used water and soil to propagate so far.
Harli I see you use Liquidirt. Do you also use a separate fertilizer on your plants. I've been using Liquidirt for a yr now and wonder if I should add a fertilizer also. I'm terrified that I'll burn them. Please advise.
Kai is cute! I have a bunch of stuff propagating I chopped two feet of my golden pothos and about a foot and a half of my heart leaf and then I chopped my whole cede blue back but that was cuz my leaves were getting really small I can’t figure out why I thought maybe fertilization was a problem cuz it gets good light and I feel like I water it well but still got small leaves so I’ll see how the new props do lol
I propagate whenever I feel like a plant needs a trim even during winter, but I leave the props in my IKEA green cabinet so it isn't affected by the temperature as much as outside of the cabinet. But then the props grow crazy during the spring and it just gives me more to prop 😅
Harli! You are soooo inspiring. I just ordered my setup and will be selling on etsy too! I just ordered some seeds and am really excited about watching them grow!
Love the propagation videos. Reminds me that Spring is finally here ❤ I occasionally prop in fall or winter but spring and early summer are definitely the seasons where I feel the most motivated. Easiest way I have found to get rid of stickers and price tags on pots is to coat them with olive oil and leave it on for an hour or so or even overnight and it peels right off. Think I learned that hack on UA-cam but can't remembers which site it was on.
Would love to see a video about what to do with a small baby plant or cutting received in the mail. Like seriously there is a sense of panic after opening the box! What to do next??? Do these tiny things need to be in a plastic bag or container? A grow cabinet? Lights? What’s the best approach for success with a mailed baby plant? Thank you!!!
How do you deal with mold with enclosed prop boxes. It never fails if I put a lid on my prop box no matter how much sterilizing and cleaning I do within a day or two everything in its covered in mold. If I leave the top off I never have that problem but I'm also not able to keep the humidity in lol.
Thank you for all the information! I really enjoyed this video 🤗 so happy to see all of your plants thriving and growing so fast!!!! I look forward to your future videos! Hope you and your family are staying safe and doing well 💚💚💚
I love this video and all of your propagation and grow tent videos. it’s so calming to watch but also exciting to see all the props haha. would you ever consider selling props of your philodendron lemon lime upright/ thai sunrise because it’s so gorgeous and i’m sure a lot of people would love that!
The plants that have never loved me back are; spider plants, every kind of fern, fiddle leaf fig, and parlor palm. They never survive 😔. However, I do have success with pothos, philodendron, snake plant and some succulents.
Where did you get all the verricosum cuttings? You must have either grown them from seed or had someone send them all to you as cuttings with no roots cuz verricosum does not grow like a vine for me... Am I missing something here? I'm kind of freaking out over all of your tiny verricosum cuttings!
I cut up a Verrucosum plant into individual nodes & what you see are the growth points they put out! The bottom leaves were growing in, but they ended up dying off/falling off for some reason
I especially appreciate the way you talk about the mental spaces we go through in growing plants. Not every plant makes it and it can mess with our confidence. You feel so relatable sharing all your inner dialogue. Thank you!
Kai is so grown up! Y’all are adorable!! Do you do anything to prevent pests in your prop boxes?
I don’t really, but I would add mosquito bits if I had fungus gnats
I definitely propagate year round but you're right, there's just something about propagating in spring that's extra exciting. I've had success with perlite for alocasia corms but i definitely want to start experimenting with sphagnum moss.
I have tried sphag and leca for alocasia corms, bot of them worked but sphag worked a lot better since I had the cup in a propbox
@@kertmelinda I’ll definitely have to try that. My cups are in prop boxes as well on a heating mat under grow lights.
Sphagnum moss is my go to to prop anything, but I do like to add to it sometimes, like adding perlite, coco coir, and red volcanic rocks
Thank you
Can never get enough of your chatty videos. 💚
Thank you for everything you do, you are amazing! Your child will do amazing things in there life with your guidance !
The struggle between wanting to be productive and not...i feel u
Thank you so much for this

Yay for reviving your plants!
You should do an overgrown terrarium tour! Id love to see it
My verrucosum grow in my regular house (50-65%). The secret is to grow them in moss. I have one climbing my albo. It took off so fast I didn’t even get a chance to move it.
For these prop boxes that are sealed. How often do you open them and for how long do you leave them open to breathe?
Like once a week for however long it takes to water/clean out dead leaves from the bin
I propagate year round but definitely feel most excited once spring rolls in! None of my plants are safe 👀✂️

I didn’t know you had a toddler, that just made me like you 100% more! You are so cute with him.
Oh my goodness, Kai is just so in love with his mum🥲 And vitamin D is my drug of choice😂
Loved the intro with Kai!!!! He’s getting so big! 🖤🖤🖤 love you guys!
You are right for the id of the first plant it’s common name goes by small silver
Philodendron
Sp. Ecuador Glocus
And Ashley does have a few 😂
Your skin looks so good!
Harli Jean ScissorHands😂😂- listen. Last year you posted the prop video in your grow tent and I went crazy! Watched the video dozens of times and chopped every plant I owned lol!! I haven't even watched this one yet and I am so excited! ❤❤
YOU Have A Pretty Little Green Forest Growing In That Prop Box!!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
i audibly said “AWWW” when the video started. kai is just so precious, i adore that little guy 😭❤️
Would LOVE a terrarium tour before you remove everything! Would be amazing to see
Will do!
Ok I love the bbn plants but how is your skin always so perfect and glowy!!!????
Yes I prop all year but am so excited for spring!!! I can feel it coming!! Great video!
Just addicted with your content 😩
I agree with you propagating it's so much fun specially when you take a lot of clippings and your mother plant still looks big and pretty 🤭
Oh he is adorable!!
It's so clear you are in love with your baby and plants. Keep them coming.
I love these videos! Anything to do with your process for your business is so interesting.

HE IS SO HANDSOME OMG!!!! you guys made such a beautiful child!
I love your videos, I definitely listen to the videos while I repot or propagate. It helps to feel like I have company. But i do watch the videos to learn too :)
I cannot handle how adorable Kai is!!! 😩😩😩 the most beautiful little boy!!! ❤️
Omgee your son is adorable ☺️
Ordered Native body wash. Can’t wait to try it. Good discount.
Your Kai is a sweetheart.
Nice video! Thanks!
Tell us what you think!
I can’t wait for my plants to grow!!! 💚💚💚
I am trying to root some cuttings in water and one Hoya in sphagnum.
Thank you for showing me how to do this.
I think I’m missing the link to your plant shop. Can you post it here? Thank you. And I loved seeing your kiddo. He’s getting so big.❤️
i tried to propagate through the winter and i had to host a lot of planty funerals
😂. Rip. I’ve been there
Omg I lovvvved this video. Your prop boxes are goals 🙏🏼 also you look great & Kai is so sweet I could cry
You are doing a great job! Plants are wonderful house inhabitants that improve air quality and bring a sense of freshness and coziness to your home.
no way !! a native sponsorship ??? go harli !!!
Thank you!! I was so excited when they reached out haha
😁🙌
Happy spring again!
In regards to the sticker. Before you plant use your blow dryer to heat up the sticker and then peal it off.
Kai is sooooo cute. I love toddler boys they are SO sweet!
omg your son is adorable what a blessing
Thanks for the new video, very helpful for propigating. Your little boy is soo adorable!

Do you have a video about your grow tent? Where is it in your house and where you got it etc?
Love that Native is your sponsor!
I saw the title and knew this is exactly the video I was looking for
Newbie questions: when potting cuttings in cups are there holes in the bottom, how do you water them and do you fertilize or give them plant food?
OMG I've not been on the indoor plant side of UA-cam in so long. He's a little man now, last time I was on your channel he was just crawling around.
harli: “plants want to survive!”
my calathea orbifolia: “i want to die!”
Harli I see you use Liquidirt. Do you also use a separate fertilizer on your plants. I've been using Liquidirt for a yr now and wonder if I should add a fertilizer also. I'm terrified that I'll burn them. Please advise.

Harli, I’ve hunted high & low for your resale shop. Where can I go to shop for nodes, cuttings & plants? I need a bunch of new plants! Please help??
Kai is the sweetest. 💕
This is probably a silly question, but where do you get your 3 0z plastic cups? I didn’t see anything below to reference where you got them. Thanks! 😊
Where do you sell your plants? Are they available online?
I usually put my plants in water before I put them in moss so they get a little more plump and ready to grow!
Harli! You are soooo inspiring. I just ordered my setup and will be selling on etsy too! I just ordered some seeds and am really excited about watching them grow!

Yes, this was very helpful, Harli. Thank you💚
I will check out Native.
Would love to hear your thoughts!
I love these prop videos so much.

i boiled the moss before using it and never had a mold issue again!
Here in my country it is way too humid if we use prop boxes plant cuttings rot and its summer all year round
Love your stuff! Hey how much water do you use in your tubs?
Your son is freaking adorable!!!🙋♀️🥰
Thank you for all the information! I really enjoyed this video 🤗 so happy to see all of your plants thriving and growing so fast!!!! I look forward to your future videos! Hope you and your family are staying safe and doing well 💚💚💚

I'm going to try to propagate it! Unfortunately they are notorious for reverting upon propagation so I've been nervous
12:05 “Now what do I want to cut up? Everything and also nothing. Ya know?” Same, Harli. Same.
Also.... WHAT KIND OF SHOES ARE THOSE!?!? Stinking cute!!!! 🥾🥾
How do you water the prop boxes? Do you take the nodes out & make sure the moss isn’t too wet?! How do you do it? 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I get the labels of of my boxes, bottles and jars by soaking in baking soda, comes right off.
You and Ryan make the most beautiful kids! Ugh, too cute!!!
Can Kai be any cuter?!?! He's such a handsome, happy boy! 💙
Okay we're going to need more kai in videos, my daughter loved him and keeps asking "where baby go??!"
I love native!
Appreciate the love! 💙
Loved every bit of it!
Thank you
kai is literally you. like he just is.
I enjoy watching your videos while I write, thank you 😊
First. Yayyyy. Kai is so cute
The Native body wash is amazing!
Love to hear this! What’s your favorite scent?
At 11:30 the way you are propagating those plants, can I do the same with variegated silver sword?
Omg your baby boy is soooo beautiful 😩😍 thank you for all the info!!!🥰
Omg he’s gotten so big! So cute!
Omg your son is SOO stinking cute!! That little clap, and "woah!" Hahah
Can’t wait to see the updates!!
Where do you buy your 3oz cups with holes? Also, where do you buy your moss from in bulk?
The plants that have never loved me back are; spider plants, every kind of fern, fiddle leaf fig, and parlor palm. They never survive 😔. However, I do have success with pothos, philodendron, snake plant and some succulents.
I used to do poorly w ferns but have persisted and finally understand what they need and they do well now. Ferns like to stay moist if that helps
Love your videos!! Question, why can I never find your plant shop?! I’ve heard you mention that you don’t promote it much, but I want to buy! Lol!
Loving the content you have been posting!!!!
My heart 😭 he is so adorable!
Can i ask please? What brand of sphagnum moss do you use

Favorite part about being a plant parent 💚
