Happiness might be the road...BUT, the road to happiness, is experiencing Marillion. A live concert with them is a love fest, among their fans. They come from throughout the world, I myself travelling to London from America, to see them at the Astoria, for back to back nights during their "Marbles" tour. Worth every penny of the flight, hotel and concert. I love these guys!!!!
Something that belongs on everyone's bucket list...attending a Marillion concert, before you pass away. The love you feel from the fans. The love the band has for their adoring fans, is something that should be experienced at least once in a lifetime. You will feel every emotion possible. I have brought family and friends to Marillion concerts who had never heard of them. The reaction? Wide eyed, jaws on the floor, almost teary eyed! How on earth have I never heard of them??? Viewing this band live is an emotional experience you never forget!
I want to say thankyou so much. Just Thankyou i am 19 years old Erik **nkelman showed me this song in his car i didnt really understand it then, now i do i lived in the Netherlands all my life i just started living in Lissabon, and this will not be my end destination for i now truly understand there is no end destination. Happiness is the road. Thankyou once again after 5 years i now understand. LOVE
Saw Marillion live a couple of weeks ago in Wolverhampton. A magnificent performance as usual. This Happiness is the road live 2011 performance brought back wonderful memories of that experience. Counting weekend multiple performances, the Wolves gig was live concert no 30 for me. Marillion transcend anything else, no other band comes close. Thank You Guys.
I'm sitting here on a cold November afternoon in Greenland, marking assignments, while listening to Marillion, but I'm transported back to Port Zelande, back to the crowd and the music and the thrill of being in that moment.. That you for the needed mental break!
Hope to see you again one of the comming editions. Now early 2021 in lockdown it would be where i truly would like to go. 3 days of Marillion and thousends of awsome people. Greatings from the Netherlands
H is an absolute grace. an outstanding musician. the company is brillant. Marillon, a top 10. (Alan Parsons Project, Barclay James Harvest, Renaissance, Asia, Roger Waters, David Gilmor, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Roger Hodgson, Marillion)
The greatest blessing that we have Is the dawn of each new day A chance to finish what we started And made a mess of yesterday As day comes out of night A chance to get it right A chance to start again A chance to get it right The people here Full of love and comfortable in themselves Not scared to let go No fear round here I met this man In Utrecht Netherlands He was a doctor of the body and the soul He said to me: Man, there's a book you have to read. I feel your pain. It makes me cry But these tears are yours - not mine. You're focusing on all of your bad yesterdays The worry lines are getting deeper every day And deep inside you No surprise - there's a crisis! You might have been to blame But you can't go on this way Must I watch and pray? While you torture yourself with what's behind ya Torture yourself with what awaits ya Draggin' that guilt and regret inside ya Anxious of the goals that always evade ya Your mind will find a way to be unkind to you somehow But all we really have is happening to us right now HAPPINESS IS THE ROAD And each baby.. A human sunrise Each baby - a human sunrise.. Look around you Feel your soul inside you Look inside you Feel the life course through you The life that's giving In every thing that's living The plants and the trees The birds and the bees And apes like you and me HAPPINESS IS THE ROAD You're a slave to your mind But you are not your mind You are not your pain Say it again You are not your pain Say it again You are not your pain Happiness aint at the end of the road Happiness aint at the end of the road Happiness IS the road The road HAPPINESS IS THE ROAD
Have listened to Marillion since release of Fugazi and have always loved the poetry of Fish and the emotion of Hogarth, all bound with the magic of Rothery and the band.
Thank you for making such incredible music. And for making us, the audience, a part of an unforgettable and one-of-a-kind experience. I have never seen a band that would have a better interaction and connection with fans than Marillion. Thank you for being part of our lives for over 40 years.
I am about to discover this entire album finally. Another gem of an album. Why am I not surprised that they put out nothing but beautiful music. I will carry this band's music to the other side with me Love you Marillion.
Delightful for all senses. JUST CRIED A MINUTE AGO...Great moment with Rothery solvant Mark Kelly i crédible work the confettis..The crowd..120 seconds of pure happyness..God bless Marillion
I have problems with this album, but I like some of the tracks a lot, this is one of them. Saw Marillion live back in February 2009 in an absurd music hall in Prague, they were playing mostly this album - totally new, I did not know the songs. Can remember that it snowed like hell the next day and it took us 8 hours to drive back to Vienna. Still, this album is strange, 2 sides, 2 different approaches, great stuff, but hard to get into. maybe the most "complicated" Marillion album to me, even though I really love them. This is great, thanks for sharing
The magic of prog is Real I was a child and I needed forJon Anderson to let me know that I was not Crazy, we both cried, the dream came true.......I managed to accomplish that although no one believed I would be able to accomplish the goal of making that conversation occur!!!!! Forever unforgettable..........He wrote Horizon about that conversation we had..........I still saw the dream there, it came true.......
Thank you so very much, I can't think of any other musician/band that are so complete, 5 absolutely amazing musicians, personally, no other guitarist has the pure emotion that I get from Steve Rothery solos.

Yes ! :~D Great song, Great b'and~~

I was seventeen, I donor know how a little kid managed to pull that off...but I did... Every Yesholes dream conversation with Jon Anderson...a very foggy, misty afternoon after I had just graduated high school.....I did it, Bless Mr. Jon Anderson......

at 1:30 I saw Peter Trewavas taking a swig of something. I happened to remember I had one next to myself to finish. And said Cheers to Pete. I imagine he is getting up for Christmas day at this moment. I am in Michigan and it is 3am Christmas morning. Still feels like Christmas eve. Probably cause I ain't been to bed yet. 😋 Cheers to Christmas 2020!
That voice... I love that voice! ❤...
Put the headset on or earplugs.
Push up the volume.
Listen to the words and music.
Let the tears flow.
Let the smile on your face.
This song is meds.
Great Band My favourite band for all times, thanks
La plus spirituelle des chansons de Marillion.
Elle a aidé mon épouse à sortir d’une grave dépression.
Merci, je vous aime ❤
Cette chanson m'a beaucoup aidé aussi. Happiness is not at the end of the road. Happiness IS the road. Tout est dit.
Marillion- perhaps the most underrated band. Love these guys. Music for the soul.
perhaps this has just a reason.

....... i started in 1984 with Marillion and i never heard a band with more emotional music 🙏🙏🙏
Pareil pour moi !!! ;)
Me too but coming up in the fast lane for me recently, is the back catalogue of Talk Talk. They were special too.
I identify with each of your words

I’d say avoiding to do so before I die.
The best song forever !
Shots of the crowd give me goosebumps - that's my family there!
I am going crazy living in Finland with no Marillion family here!
mine too!
I want to say thankyou so much.
