@@craytherlaygaming2852 How do they backfire then without damage? If they just don't work with no repercussions then why does she even need gungnir? She could spam her ability regardless of outcome.
@@craytherlaygaming2852 Seems like you went a bit off topic there. She could have done her NT9 plan of trapping Touma much earlier if there's no repercussions to the 50/50 rule. So what is the issue of failing if she doesn't get damaged like you said?
Othinus is kinda where I dropped Toaru series as a whole.
The power creep is just way too intense and I can't get the idea of a Magician just levitating a bunch of anvils on Touma and then releasing the magic.
Sure theres the Dragons, but Touma can't call them on command.
The only magician that truly defeated Touma. His existential crisis was so heartbreaking 😭

I still remember the feeling when I read the battle at the end of NT 8, where Othinus played the biggest Uno-Reverse Card in history. Few other times I've felt so much fear and anxiety just by reading. The scene where she makes her own spear Gungnir out of her eyepatch and then nukes the entire universe instantly made her my favorite character along with Touma. Othinus step on me pls...🔥🛐

I wouldn't say anything about her powers stands out as my favorite. What really has always made her stand out for me and made such an impression on me is what she did to Touma and how he finally overcame it. I always felt that was a touching and incredible storyline. I am a sucker for and fully enjoy heart felt stories that can move you emotionally. Looking forward to your 20 k vid!
It seems like reversing time is beyond the power of Magic Gods. They could slow or even halt it, but they can't rewind time.
But if one can alter people's memories of the past and edit the things in the present to match that, then you've essentially altered the past anyway.
It's a nice way to get around all the headache that time travel and time manipulation can cause.
Even through they can’t reverse time, they can just destroy the current world and create a past version of it.
1:18 I feel that damage caused to Othinus by 50% Failure could have been too much for her handle without Gungnir. Something as simple as tearing off Ollerus's arm caused her arm to fall off and she was definitely annoyed by it, so if she were to be doing something more large scale like reality warping and it happens to fall in 50% Failure, Othinus potentially would end getting torn apart from the inside out.
1. most people I know in person talk about anime like Dragon Ball, Naruto, etc but I love this anime than what I said there.
2. and I don't know what is more terrifying her basicly torturing Touma then resirecting him to kill him again or her being shrunk to a size of a doll and Touma being called "Doll Master".

As of making this comment, I'm reading volume 6 of GT I skipped OT and went straight to NT because I watched the anime, and even though I know they left a lot out or changed some things, I was too lazy to start from the beginning once I'm caught up with GT I will read OT
As someone who did the opposite, read OT first even after the anime, you should absolutly go back after GT, all the volumes are much better than the anime.

I think the 50/50 thing was a attempt for a limitation. However, the author should have just created the concept of a magic god to be weaker.

Hey man, I was just wondering about something. Someone said about that IB is in touma’s right hand because of the things inside of it. The question is, did the things originally inside of his right hand or those things is a plus package with IB?
We dont know, the only thing we know is that IB chose Touma for whatever reason it wanted. So we are in the dark regarding that question and its all speculating

I’ve always been confused on Othinus 50/50. If she can regenerate herself even if she’s no longer a magic god, then what actually kills her? Does failure of Gunpir mean it will explode and erase her existence?

Bc that body became a physical avatar just like how coronzon had one. Her body is considered normal in pure world even if she isnt exactly human, its like Touma touching someone like Bologna, she wont die despite being a succubus
IB can't effect the body of a magic god but will effect their magic if it touches it
Touma was trying to save her by touching the fairy spell
The fairy spell nearly killed her but the other magic gods decided to save Othinus for spoiler reasons
