BM hunter is still pretty fun. And marksmanship is pretty viable now with teh recent changes. So you can still use that if you don't play competively (pvp). In pvp however you still lag a bit behind
What I'm currently doing for AOE is just keeping survival as my secondary spec. With the recent buffs to serpent sting survival aoe is absolutely insane! Totally worth it to swap between BM and Surv for trash and bosses
Serpent Sting on the pull is debatable, you could apply it later when you have full buffs so it hits harder while saving a GCD on the pull and you can use CS later on when you don't have much else to press to refresh it . Yes SS is very good for a GCD but you have so many other abilities on the pull that will do more damage and you will be so focused capped casting a CS right in the middle of your opening burst mean that you would lose 3-4 GCD just to keep SS rolling.
When someone talks about increasing pve dps, it's always assumed that your in a raid situation with raid buffs which can and will make a difference on how things work. Target dummys are typically there to test rotations and suchs as it's not at all a perfect reprasentation of a raid environment. Something that is a better increase in dps on a dummy wile solo does not mean it would be the better choice in a raid with buffs. For one example, going over a haste softcap with windfurry.
Still, it has a 40% chance to proc, and while you have the extra haste buff from focus fire, your pet is still able to build new charges wich goes pretty fast anyway. So both you and your pet can benefit from haste while under the effect of bestial wrath.
...because abilities focus is reduced while in bestial wrath, and your pet will be doing more dmg during it so keeping the attack speed on your pet is better than using it for extra haste...
Actually it is extremely effective to use RF and BW simultaneously. The reason being, your pet gets insanely increased focus regen while it has the 20% damage increase and half price focus abilities. This is all pointed out with better reasoning than I can give on elitist jerks and icy veins, but yes it is very beneficial to macro RF with BW in actual fact.
Hey, keep in mind when ure target is 20% youre murder of crows is reduced CD to 50% of it (1min) so for bosses like Elegon etc. where u got ure last nuke is around 20% always take that!

I have a question. For some reason, my pets Frenzy ability does not proc often at all, and it rarely stacks to 5 stacks. I realize it is a 40% proc, but it seemed like it was proc'ing for you a lot. Is there anything i'm doing wrong?
i know my rotation for my hunter. I'm not fully geared yet and my focus sorta sucks. so I have alot of work to do but when i was 85 i was fully geared (pvp) and i suck. my dps never goes above 15k i need serious help and this video should help but anymore info i can get please help
No, only YOU get the bonus haste. your pets loses AS. and theres no point in the haste when you wont be using cobra because everything focus cost is reduced. You use it AFTER wrath.

One little thing I noticed that I disagreed with: your minor glyph choice. Stampede is horrible for 5 mans yet quite useful if you're raiding. Why? Because whenever you pop Stampede, all abilities that your pet has that are autocast are used. So if you're in a 5 man and assemble a good team, you can feasibly have ALL buffs active for the duration of your stampede. The glyph is nice for raiding however, where even one spirit beast might mean a nice heal when you pop stampede.
Instant res it and you lost 5 seconds again ;) And also, try to find the good one with the glyph that clones them with stampede. In PvP, it's either pop or lose. You haven't got 10 seconds (instant pet res) to spare to survive BM hunters.
@ejee62073909 to help you out ehen you just say you suck is rather hard to do. But if you lack focus then you should get more cobra shots out to get you some focus, just remeber to watch your focus and plan for when you need i.e. Focus for KC, GT or MoC

You should be spamming your instant casts and whatnot. our brilliant minds tell us this - Dire beast is on a 30 second CD, BW is on a 1 minute cd. that means that during BW, you will always have a DB up. That means your focus regen is at a level that you can just hit all those shots and be able to use your kill command the MILLISECOND it comes off CD. You should hit rapid fire off mmediately after BW, since you probably will be fairly focus starved.
if you're an orc go for mastery and get spirit beast bear or just a ravager from outlands you LITERALLY *i swear i am not lying* literally just /dance and your pet can kill whoever in an arena game even without any sort of burst just do this Orc/ravager or bear for 4% more dmg/stack mastery/choose blink strikes talent you're done hundreds of thousands of dmg from your pet my warlock team m8 almost died b4 we even touched the hunter

AArcane Shot now applies hunters mark without the glyph, you can safely choose another glyph now

If you go into the games interface function you can turn on the other action bars in there

Mm is fine if you got decent wep.Mm is only 1k dps lower than bm.I was doing in heroic with mine 42k dps with shity 450 ilvl crossbow.
I like barrage for 5 mans, great AoE damage. Just be careful where you use it or you'll pull everything with it.
