Girl, i’ve been on a book buying ban for months & i live vicariously through you buying books so if you wanna break your ban, you go right ahead, im not stopping you, Des!! 🫡
YOU HAVE HAD THE TURN OF THE KEY ON YOUR PHYSICAL TBR FOR SO LONG NOW, AND IT IS SO SO SO GOOD DES. PLEASE READ IT SOON PLEASE. THRILLER READING VLOG. IT'S A 6 STAR READ FOR ME!!!!
I just wanna say that I am grieving the loss of a very close loved one. And I have been so thankful for your videos because they are helping me relax and forget for a few minutes. Thank you.
Tbh it may help to do an unhauling, you may not care having a ton of unread books, but if there are any you either dont think youll read/will but probably wont enjoy then it helps me to do unhauling to keep books that i want on my tbr
My first Fredrik Backman was A man called Ove and I really enjoyed it. I am so excited for you to read it. And I also can't wait for you to try Wrong place, wrong time because it's been on my tbr for a while.
radio silence is LITERALLY the best book i have ever read. you don't understand. if you've ever had a complicated friendship that takes over your soul or been the "gifted kid" READ THIS GODDAMN BOOK YOUR LIFE WILL BE CHANGED FOREVER!!!
Des, anytime you ask what you should do (like if you should put acosf in the acotar video) I want you to know - do whatever you feel. we’ll watch and love anyway
I would a 100% watch a 6 hr video of you rereading ACOTAR. i’m literally obsessed…. also i would love to see your reaction to ACOSF because its one of my favorites from the series. i appreciate you, watching this made my day💕
The first video I saw of yours was an older video and you talked about pair eyewear and i got a pair for blue light only and im already obsessed. Had them for about two weeks now
It would be soooooo much fun if you did a video counting how many books of your physical TBR you read during your book buying ban!! So you can see if it was actually worth it and if it worked or not! Love your videos ❤❤
I got the Afterlight version of Forget Me Not. So excited to read it, but first I have to read Fourth Wing, Divine Rivals, and the entire Throne of Glass series! 😅
The Inmate is a good thriller! We read it for our Freida McFadden reading vlog. Also, The Only One Left by Riley Sager is SO good! My favorite book of his so far! I felt like The Only One Left has a totally different vibe than his other books, in a good way!
@@ElinWinblad I have not read House Across the Lake, but I didn't find any missing plot points in The Only One Left. I think the book had a fantastic ending and all my questions were answered.
i’ve been loving your videos recently! this summer was really hard as i went through a falling out with friends that really unmotivated me to read. But you’ve motivated me to start reading again! thank you ❤❤❤❤
i just read a flicker in the dark! i was about to DNF it when it started to get good! I thought it was pretty slow in the beginning BUT the story got really good! I would also add a TW to the book which I was not expecting. TW: mental health, self harm !
The cellar is my favorite book of all time!! Literally my whole family is begging to read that book because I’m the only one who has the book in the house…I love this book and it’s my favorite!! I rated it 12 out of 5 stars!!
Wow I agree I loved it the writing was perfect one of my favorite books ever I can’t wait until she actually reads the cellar I want to know what she thinks wow Ella you have such a beautiful book taste!
The Cellar by Natasha Preston started my obsession with Natasha Preston/April Henry! The book is pretty dark but UGH the writing!! Both are very similar authors. I LOVE their work. I hope you enjoy it!
Hi Des! I started reading thrillers in between romance books just as a pallette cleanser and its working for me so that could work for you as well 😊 I enjoyed The Housemaid by Frida Mcfadden and Riley Sager's Final Girls and I just picked up The House Across the Lake 😁✌🏻 Blessings!
I’m reading the cellar right now! I got 200 pages in and would have finished in one sitting if I didn’t have to go to work 😂😂 it’s so good! Now I need all her books immediately
Beartown is sooo good! I still have the 3rd one to read but I have to emotionally prepare. I want to read the rest of his books. I've read Anxious People and And Every Morning The Way Home Gets Longer (really emotional). I thought a Flicker in the Dark was verrry predictable.
Currently reading ACOWAR ☺ Do the "Nesta"' one separately so if one decide to read it later there wont be spoilers. And thank you for al the videos you make my day better💜
Des can you please do a full spoiler reading vlog for "to all the boys I've loved before" trilogy cause I just read it I need to hear all ur thoughts and opinions
natasha preston books are AMAZING!! I read the lake and you will be mine by her and let me say i was SHOCKED bc like you i thought since it was ya it wouldn’t be too crazy but wow sm happens in them!! literally one of my fav authors fs!
As a fellow Swede who loves both Fredrik Backman and A Man Called Ove (En man som heter Ove in Swedish) I am really looking forward to seeing what you think of the book!!🫶🏼
Just a random fact about the title of the book Dating Dr. Dil, so the word "Dil" literally means "heart" in Hindi. I don't know anything about the book or the plot cause I haven't read it (even though I can gauge the plot from the title hahaha) but yeah considering it is from an Indian author it might be that his name is literally heart or he is a heart specialist or Idk but yeah just thought of mentioning it 😅 On a side note, I really love your videos and all your content. 😍😍
I’ve started putting books that I have in my tbr on a little shelf above all my unread books so they are constantly staring at me and I won’t forget I have to read them😂 my tbr isn’t too big (20-30) and so they’re all facing me at all times 💀
I finished The Inmate a couple of days ago, it was a 3 star for me. It started off great and it was a good story...until the last 10%-20% of the book. But I'd love to see what you think! I am reading Wrong Place, Wrong Time because someone recommended it to me and I'm almost halfway in, loving it!
I would love to be in a class where Des talks about books the whole time 😍
That would be one interesting class!
ugh a literal dream
Omg same!
Omg yes pls🙏
Yes imagine if she was your substitute teacher for school
You should totally do reading thrillers for a week to knock some of these books off the TBR.

My first Fredrik Backman was A man called Ove and I really enjoyed it. I am so excited for you to read it. And I also can't wait for you to try Wrong place, wrong time because it's been on my tbr for a while.
"a man called ove" broke my heart and then put it together again
Omg radio silence is so damn good and kinda relatable in some ways about pressures of education and university. A good read :)
I love seeing people read Fredrik Backman, he's a swedish author and we love him. A man called Ove has been a movie for a few years but a swedish one!

I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet or not but that is actually not the last book in the Naturals series! There is an e-novella as well!
The first video I saw of yours was an older video and you talked about pair eyewear and i got a pair for blue light only and im already obsessed. Had them for about two weeks now

Was it better than house across the Kate cause that was missing some plot points

The Cellar and The Inmate are both so good! I read The Inmate in one sitting and read The Cellar over 2-3 days
i was on a cruise for five days and missed so much content 😭 it’s good and bad cause now i have so much to binge lol
