Those Witty comebacks are killing me every time. One of my favorite scene (out of many) of Jess& Dean. Milo leaving the show after 2 seasons was cruel😥😥😥😭😭pure crime.
Because even though Dean is a good guy, he's still a human being and all humans have moments of pettiness. Wanting to poke a little fun at the guy who bullied him and tried to wedge his way in between Dean's relationship with Rory isn't evil. It's just human and, imo, a fair and harmless reaction.
He's doing what both of them deserve. So what if he's a good guy. He was strung along got hurt had to see her gf fall for another guy. Watched them get together right infront of him as soon as they break up. He gets all the right to be petty. Being good doesn't means u just become Buddha.

But now that I have your attention "you do realize" that repressed homosexuality is a major theme on this show. I subscribe to the theory that the tv show is suppose to be the book that Rory mentions she was going to write at the end of the revival, and the tv show is just the embellished version of her life. I am pretty sure that Luke is a closeted gay man, deeply not in tune with his emotions, and Lorelei is his beard. They allude to this in the revival when Luke and Lorelei are waiting for Paris and Luke says "I don't want to have sex with any body" Lorelei then says "except me right" and Luke doesn't respond. Chris doesn't leave Lorelei because of Luke, he left her to be with his new family, a decision he made before and decision that suddenly became possible to him at the time. Rory just said that it was because of Luke to make her mom look better
