  • I am very excited I found this product as it's like an insurance policy for your tube amp. Two conductors on the tip and ground instead of just one single point. Additionally, the points are rounded so there is even more surface area contact being made with the plug. This is honest and non-sponsored. I am going to use these jacks for my speakers and new builds for now on.

      I think it's time for me to upgrade the guitars too!

      @@TheToneGeek I don't think there is a difference tonally. It's more that the plug rests more securely.

    It seems to me that this is more for signal networks than for power ones. There is a possibility of shorting the ground contact with the signal contact through the tip

    I just bought one of them for one of my guitars but the new pickups i ordered actually cam with a three prong one. I guess i can put the other one in my amp.

      @@TheToneGeek I've never heard of them used in amps for safety tho. So you're making groundbreaking discoveries in that way

    Have you notice it give a better frequency response using the Puretone multi contact jacks on guitars and amplifier jacks?

    • @TheToneGeek
      @TheToneGeek  3 роки тому +1

      Maybe? I'd think there could be better response since it's a more solid connection and more contact surface (so more efficient transmission of energy). I have not specifically listened for it, however.

      @@TheToneGeek better at transfer of True power and VA power? have you tried measuring the Transfer power and frequency response?

    • @TheToneGeek
      @TheToneGeek  3 роки тому +1

      @@waynegram8907I have not measured. It's interesting for sure, however I like the two contacts best versus one point of contact. If there is better frequency response then bonus points 😊. Are you planning on doing that analysis?

    • @waynegram8907
      @waynegram8907 3 роки тому

      @@TheToneGeek no, but I was wondering if you have done this analysis or going to in the future because eric Johnson only use "directional guitar cables" I'm not sure what directional guitar cables benefits are but he is claiming its less noise and better frequency response. Have you tried directional guitar cables and know what he is talking about?

    "Spontaneous by accident"...MAKE SURE YOU HEAR THE DOUBLE CLICKS BEFORE TURNING ON THE AMP THEN!

    It sounds like absolute bs, not like some paid ad.
