Nice review! I was stressing over which one to get, but your review convinced me that for my needs as a general fire/survival/shelter knife the 140 is most definitely the way to go. Thanks y’all!
I'm 63 and I can confidently say that little sisters will always be a bug in your bonnet 'til the day you meet your maker. Why our parents decided to generate another after us OG's is beyond me. 😁
@DemoMan-fq9zi haha this is a giga gay comment lol. I only own one and my twin brother lended me his for this video. Secondly I nowhere ever say the knife is “indestructible” You sir got the giga gay comment of the day
Regarding the "Jääkäripuukko 200" that you described at the end, I think you mean "Jaakarileuku". There are plenty of leukus on the market that fit that description, other than the Terävä rubber grip.
I got a similar knife, the Peltonen M95 Ranger Knife (Peltonen M95 Sissipuukko). They are built very similar, one is a Modified Scandi, the other is a Sabre grind (that is thin behind the edge, and slicey). One is built with the outdoors in mind, and the other is NATO certified. I like my M95 Sissipuukko. It is a simple yet elegant knife. That "Jaakaripuukko 200" you were thinking about, would be a "Jakari-Leukku." I think Puukko translates into "Small knife" While Leukku translates into "Big-knife."
@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors The only thing that might detract from some is that the knife does not have a 90 or sharp spine for ferro rods/stripping bark. I do not mind because there are other options. I consider the M95 to be an ideal Bushcraft/outdoor knife because it can do the tasks necessary for bushcraft/outdoors but at the same time it can work as a defense knife.
@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors The knife has been adopted by Finland and Estonia. I own two. One sits near the computer as a last ditch combat knife. The sheath, like most factory sheaths will be replaced by the buyer. Because the computer unit is a last ditch unit, I simply went into my box of extra sheaths and pulled out a leather sheath with a restraining snap.
So there's also the 85 Puukko. You didnt test it, but im sure youre aware of it. In my situation where I have an axe with me, would you choose the 110 or 85? Question is for Last Huntsman and anyone else who would like to enlighten me on your choice and reasons for it.
That’s totally your choice. If you’re going to try to be EDCing/conceal carrying it daily I’d go with the 85. That said if it’s just going to be a woods knife I’d go with the bigger version
I've been thinking about getting the 110 for many years, but I just never pulled the lever. Those leather sheaths are really cool looking , the price is awesome compared to other companies. ya can't beat it. I really like the 80CRV2 steel.. Nordic Knife Design or NKD makes some awesome blades with the same steel , it's excellent stuff. I also like using Lauri Puukko blanks, which I believe uses the same steel also.
@f804.de.ruyter I thought the steel work looked the same as Lauri's stuff. They make blades for lots of brand names, it seems. There are so many great knives out there, but these stand out to me. The sheaths you get are awesome and way better than anything else in that price range. I am so disappointed with a Garberg I purchased, their machining is really off . The secondary bevel is horrible and now I wish I had purchased a 110.
@@Airik1111bibles I never understood the hype of a Mora, I think they work but a lot of people act as if they are the pinnacle of knives and I personally think they are trash
@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors Yes, they have an overrated reputation. JoeX did an abuse test on the Carbon Garberg, which was pretty crazy seeing how tough the Garberg steel is, BUT what's the point if the grind sucks and geometry is freaking messed up? Then, to top things off, they release wood handled full tang blades in "Recycled stainless steel " to pander to the globalist club. Fans really wanted blades like that from Mora ...but... Then they go putting a $150 to $200+ price tag on them, and there was little outrage from the knife community . Freaking recycled ♻️ steel is not what I want to see when I buy a knife.esp $200.
I personally like the 140, it feels that much more capable and the 110 isn’t small enough to easily edc/conceal so might as well have the extra blade length
80 years ago that could well have been a true story had you been unlucky enough to live in a sick system that i won't even validate by naming. One day the rest of the world may actually show a bit of appreciation for what my country (Britain) and yours did for the world. Sadly a darkness is being loosed again in this world. @thelasthuntsmanoutdoors
Good job.
I have the 110 and im thinking of getting the 140 as well. Looks like a beastly knife.
Great seeing families together in the woods. 👍🏻
Thank you!! It’s fun having the brother out here

Great knife! I got 2-140's couple years ago (both sheaths), Indestructible.
Awesome

I’ve heard a lot of people reference that knife. I need to try one eventually

@bdcochran01 I should check one out

I went an extra mile to get a kydex sheathe. My only complaint is that I had to go an extra mile for the Kydex sheathe.
I like mine. They have been solid knives.

Lauri metal makes these for verustuleka its a more beefy version of their lauri blanks and it got a modified spine

What kind of wood was that? ❤
@@danieldraussentrieb9979 if I remember right, I used a combination of cedar and oak in this video
try terava skrama 200 or 240 if you want a bigger knife😅😅😅😅😅
