Tres bien, Monsieur. Like I was listening to my mother. Excellent video. Relax, relax. Supple wrist. Easy to say, hard to do under pressure. I’m working on it. Merci.
You did very well with English. I have been playing golf for almost 17 years, and this video was the very first time I have ever heard the concept of allowing your wrist joint to be so relaxed that you can feel it stretch as the club moves back and through. Brilliant! I cannot wait for my next practice so I can try to feel this. Thank you very much.
@@thefrenchgolfcoach9567 Yes, thanks. I look forward to new videos. This instruction absolutely helped. I strike the ball much cleaner by feeling the stretch. It is like there is no slack in my arms and wrists in the backswing and transition. I find it to give me more control of my low point. I hope you continue to introduce more novel concepts, as opposed to traditional/conventional drills and ideas. Thanks.
Your English was perfect, every word made sense. You're very brave for doing this as a non-native speaker of a foreign language for you. That alone earned you my subscription. Great video, merci!
Your English is good enough to teach golf on UA-cam. The content was simple but excellent because the analogy of the arms to a whip works well in the field. You are on the correct level, so don't change anything.
great english and great video. First video i watched that emphasised the wrists and how relaxed they need to be, which is exactly my problem. merci beaucoup!!
I can't wait to try the club face alignment routine tomorrow. Your English is vastly better than the little French I needed to speak when I visited Paris years ago. The French people were ever so gracious to me, an American. They tolerated my hideous attempts at the French language and were kind and patient with me repeatedly.
I am from Singapore, your English is fine with us. Your tips make a lot of sense. Keep it up, I am following. Actually your tips make good sense for senior.
great video I started to whip the club myself within the last 2 months. prior to this I was a over the top swing with my arms type guy that sometimes hit the ball but most of the time hit it fat. I had a horrible grip on the club and was also squeezing the club. I had a new set of irons fitted my first fitted set ever and decided to take a lesson. The Pro spotted my main problems fast tight grip and incorrect grip. My new clubs are heavier than anything I have ever used in the past and it is fantastic. With my new grip I am able to really whip them from the bottom and can now hit a 5 iron 180 yards!
Funny, ive been working on what I've been calling "soft wrists" at the range lately. Not something I've heard much about...but a very important subtlety, no doubt. Thank you for your timely and well thought out input sir.
Excellent English with good pronunciation. Love all instruction based on feel not technical instruction. The way forward my friend.Have subscribed.thanks for posting
I was on the range today and noticed this exact thing. I started playing around with my swing and stopped thinking about swing thoughts, face or path and just started swinging relaxed and with the flow of the club and it‘s weight. Weirdly I started hitting it way better and with effortless power! I thought I was going crazy but seeing your video gave me a good idea of the concept 🙏
A fantastic lesson! I took it to the driving range and started hitting good shots with little effort. Love it!! Now for a few more years on the range and I might actually get a good game. Ha!
Outstanding video, Thank you for getting so indepbt about the golf grip and grip pressure, the more relaxed my body is the better I play no doubt, letting the wrist be free is so important, and Thank you for club face control with proper grip , perfect I've never seen it explained that way before, Great video, and your English is very understandable,,
Grest video the advice given here is spot on 👌🏼. English is the biggest language in the world, learning English will be great for your golf lessons on youtube. Your English skills are grest 👍🏼🇬🇧🇫🇷!
Good video. English is fine. We golfers just care about insight and expertise! I like the wrist joint detail. We suffer from lack of knowledge. Never worry about overburdening us with accurate information! Thank you.
Tres bien mon ami. Your English is better than my French. The importance of a light grip with a full release is so important for speed through the shot. Merci.
Your English is perfect. Thank you for the tips - I have a local "pro" friend who always tells me I should be holding a baby bird when handling a club - this information helps me, too, in that I am allowing that swing transition as efficiently as possible.
Reno, I found your explanation of soft wrists very enlightening. Most videos I've seen are more technically based and when I've have been trying to carry them out I find I tense up to much. I've been trying your explanation and am finding it working for me. I wish I could speak French as well you do English. Great video. Keep up the good work.
Good job! I’m some who is new to the game and just starting to make significant progress. I used to swing so hard it hurt. Now I’m loosening up and letting the club do the work and hitting farther than ever.
Your English is tres bien Reno. Much better than my French. I noticed you taught a grip that is appropriate for a swing where the hands and clubhead arrive at the ball at the same time, which is what you demonstrated. Many are taught to get their hands slightly ahead of the ball at impact. The point is your grip needs to match your impact position, which may be different than the setup. If you are one whose hands beat the clubhead to the ball, you will need a stronger or more closed clubface when straight out in front of you as hands ahead will open the clubface some.
This video was actually perfect. Your English is really not bad at all. And it is a very simple but very very important thing you are saying. Thank you for this video.
Very nice drill and very nice explanation, it surely helped me, I tend to stiffen up my arms. Dont worry about the English its not the most important thing.
Your English is better than mine, and I'm English 🙂. Great lesson, I'm really trying to let the club whip. Its a real minset, just letting the club to the work!
Excellent tip on the loose wrist ...I have never heard this before......however when you have a Strong Grip (that looks left of the target) at address and THEN present the Forward Shaft Lean (which all good golfers must do) the Club Face Squares to Target.....very important .....I learned this from the Ali Taylor videos.
Wow.. using the relaxed wrist test when checking the club face at set up really works. I went to the course today, and the method helped my accuracy in hitting my target. Please make more videos !!
Awesome instruction. I recently came across an old video of the great Booby Jones on You Tube. "How he plays golf Parts, 1,2,3and 4." In the first video you see a huge lag in his wrists at the takeaway and again at the top of the backswing as the weight of the club head drops. This is lag and when I do it the strike is perfect and the distance great. Your video finally affirms this principal and before your video I never saw this principal displayed in any other pro lessons on You Tube. Thanks.
Hello Rick, i have seen those Bobby Jones videos many time. I am 100 onto what he is saying on it. If you watch my swing on my vlog, you can also feel this "reverse lag" on my take away.
Excellent truth told here- took me many years to learn on my own and never once was the concept ever taught to me or explained. It's all about gaining speed through physics- left arm fully extended to near end of finish- wrists loose - whip through impact - target is bottom point. Takes practice to train yourself to have a firm grip (especially last three fingers of forward hand) and still- at the same time have very limber wrists- maybe 2-3 weeks before you will do both simultaneously. HUGE DIFFERENCE- GREAT POWER- NO BACK ACHES.
Your English is fine. Very clear what you’re saying. Makes a lot of sense.
I understood you perfectly. I wish I could speak French as well as you do English. I found your video very easy to follow and informative, thank you.
