I saw someone ask “how would a villager know where the trials are to make a map” and I started thinking of this idea where, a new villager would be added, the “adventurer” who would give you keys, special maps, and unique items and maybe have a wooden sword and leather armor equipped to them to show that they’re “capable” of collecting these rarer items. (Don’t want to make them seem like a hero, that’s us.) but after looking at Minecraft’s own feedback page under the villager section… doesn’t seem like that’s going to happen.
I'd really like a villager where u have to go out of Ur way to find it's job block, maybe it's only found in the ancient cities, and u have to go get it to have access to the adventure villager

Nice idea. I also wonder why a villager would know where a chamber is, but yet again how would a villager know where an ocean monument or a mansion hundreds of thousands of blocks away is.
Hmmm yes.... like one that wanders and trades you items from all over the world....
I think that wandering traders are also cartographers, and that's how they find their way around the overworld and know where structures are.
Crazy that we got the advancements before we even got the update name.
I dont wanna cope, but I feel like thats cause there is more to come and they just released the advancements they had.

Is it weird that the thing about this snapshot I like the most is the splitting of the map icons file? I've been waiting on that pesky sprite sheet getting cut up for many years now, great to finally have animated map markers in vanilla.

I just came from captin sparklez's vid on the snapshot apparently, crittin once with a neatherite sword, 2 regular hits and a fist punch will bring the breeze low enough to be killed with it's deflected wind charge.
I was able too make a mace in the anvil with unbreaking and mending in the last snaphot
You have a good point about the enchanting. It makes me wonder are we gonna get normal mace's and this is like a magic version. If so that paves the ground for other tools/weapons getting some sorta special recipe.

You know, only structures that have some relevance to progression like fortresses, strongholds etc have advancements for entering them, so maybe the trial chambers will have some importance in beating the game

@skywatcher125 Yeah but piglins aren't exclusive to bastions and bastions aren't a major point in game progression like fortresses or strongholds are, they're just cool things to find and challenge the player.
@@skywatcher125Also, Bastions give you the Netherite template now, which I would say is pretty vital to progression.

When I try to do experimental and I did what you did to try and get the map but it wouldn’t show up when I try to trade with the villager and it was at journeyman I’m using the console version?

Okay I played the latest snapshot and ironically I'm watchint this video just after finding the core in my survival world ,this is an old world so I travelled far in the never found a trial chamber I went through every one of those Vault Blocks (I had a lot of keys from when they had no use) but I didnt get the core ,and while looking for any more vault blocks I accidentally broke this copper block which revealed a copper door ,I broke the block above n entered nothing much just a 2 by 3 room with 1 bed and 1 chest but surprisingly the item I couldn't find thought the whole trail chamber I found in this chest.

Hey wattles, just wanted to see if you have any new ideas on what the 🕳 is, the leak from Rodgers badgeman from a while ago. It's stuck with me since I saw it and I keep wracking my brain to try and figure it out but I've got nothing.
I’m not sure! i think its about the top of the trial spawner and vault blocks but I’m not 100% sure
I wouldn't be surprised if we see a couple enchantments specifically for the Mace eventually
A mace enchantment that replaces height damage with forward velocity damage would be super cool

For the breeze advancement couldnt you also use poison to guaranteed get it low so the windcharge would be guaranteed kill?
It's funny how you can literally /give yourself an EDIBLE diamond with the help of the new component features! Or you can make it so you can mine faster with a potato than netherite tools.

I my opinion I think it would be interesting to not make the mace mendable given the weapons insane strengths (especially if the weapon has a high durability). In exchange the weapon could get at least a couple unique and powerful enchantments.

or i think they will only release 1.20.5 and this update gonna continue after next minecraft live, i am sensing there is huge update after this and they want to focus on that update .
And they added mace and other more stuff other they have shown in minecraft live to make commuinity hold that they added something and the update don' t feel boring again

judging by the way weapon/armor tags have been optimized, new items like the breeze rod and vaults, revealing long term plans for using items like pots, trims, and redstone in new structures...
it seems like Minecraft 2.0 may be around the corner with much more advanced PVP, PVE, and more robust adventuring with armor and weapons with unique stats attributions and crafting recipes.

I think if anything was to truly deserve mending, it’s the mace and netherite armor. The drop rates are seek to be so low it makes finding diamond back in the day a cake walk
I feel like the advancements are either because other changes are gonna be minor updates or they are finished with the trial chambers
The combats fine we just need weapons that make it more interesting, for example a dagger that you duel wield for 2x attack speed cause you can attack induvisually.
In minecraft pe mending does go on the mace

🤔You know for the Mace to be like a type of hammer dont you think it should be 3D since it does crit mobs like nothing im think maybe the devs can add an enchantment where upon hitting a mob the normal attack gives off that 1.5 - 2% chance of a type of knockback slam that blocks vibrate with impact

do only plains villagers give trial maps? I've leveled up like 15 cartographers to level 3 and NONE of them are giving me the map
i have some ideas for mace enchants:
Unbreaking and mending (not new ones)
shockwave I-III (increases area of shockwave after you hit with mace after falling)
heavy weight I-V (buffs damage after falling)
shortening I-I (descreases minal height for damage but doubles fall damage when holding it)
impact I-V (faster you move before you hit will increase damage)(can be put on swords,axes,tridents but replacs sharpness,bane of arthropods,smite and impaling)
some of these are probably wayyyyyyy to OP but that aint my problemo soooo..............
