Thanks Spotify for the algorithm in charge of my discover weekly.
my exact thoughts, just discovered them on spotify
This album bumps. I would have loved to see this band live
Got to see them 4 times live and they were just incredible
My friend and I saw mothers as an opener for Japanese Breakfast in a tiny room at my friend's school and this song was so awesome live and I remember they had these great visuals going on it was fantastic (mothers was way better than the headliner imo) and the and the lady that sings I totally do not remember your name but thanks for signing my record keep up the good work guys psyched for the new album
It's absolutely majestic
I saw them play 191 Toole in Tucson on tour for this album, there were ~200 people in the room and when they played this song not a single person spoke. Thunderous applause at the end.
I've watched this 1,00 times just dissecting every detail I could... This visual is so subtle, yet breath taking in a way. love the last part of seeing yourself and it being projected on the tv! Great stuff, cant wait to see mothers in atlanta!
Fuck this is good. Their first album was my 2nd favorite album of 2016 (only after A Moon Shaped Pool), and I'm starting to feel like this new one is going to be my #1 for 2018. Love this band.
Defective and invariable
We are untouched by it
Patrick runs a red light
And I am in the back seat
I am watching your mouth
In her rear view mirror
Pensive like a child
My parents' Blazer, 1996
Six months
And are you still afraid of my want?
Sun hot on my eyelids
I'm flinching but you pretend not to notice
I am reading Sam Pink in your bed
He says:
"Living another fifty years seems impossible"
Your eyes roll back
And I think of babies born
First scream into infinity
And I am tired
Heavy with sweat
When I pull you out of your sweater
Flinching with the awareness of a newborn
"PINK" debuted at #30 on the New Alternative 40 Chart this week!
Wooh!!!
Dang. How did I not hear about this earlier?
Oh my fuck. This video is amazing. Whoever made this needs to direct some short horror films 👍
Saw them live recently, they put on a tight show. God the new album is going to be fantastic.
I love this band so much
so excited for the new album !
i will never forget hearing this when you opened for Band Of Skulls in Vancouver
i will never forget hearing it when you opened for japanese breakfast in grand rapids
this song is like pure terror
Good job, Mothers!
I remember driving on the highway windows down blasting this when it came out. Then I was blown away by the music video. Can't believe it's been over 2 years.
reminds me of what Flasher is doing....very 80's goth kinda sound. so many cool bands.
Mothers, you are mutating!! I love it!
Best music video I’ve seen lately!
l love her voice
Best song on album by far!
I was waiting mothers's new songs and It totally worth it
Brilliant!
blame kit sounds like palm and this one sounds like viet cong, totally ready for this album
OK, I think I'm driving to Tampa from Miami next month just to hear this song played live. I feel like my life would not me complete without such an experience.
I was at that show. Certainly lived up to your expectations I imagine?
@@artifactsandfungus1424 I loved it! I was sorry not to hear them play "Hold Your Own Hand," and I got to tell Kristine as much, informing that song would have probably brought me to tears. "Well, maybe we didn't want to make you cry," she said joking.
@@hansmorgenstern5461 That's also a fantastic track. Kristine is so nice tho, and her artistic vision is much larger than the other bands Mothers gets associated with. I think their next album could really turn some heads, let's hope.
so nice
What happened with these majestic ladies, I cannot find an interview with them anywhere
awesome !
!!!!!! beautiful
They were in san Antonio a few months ago and since then they have been my fave band...plus Kristine is so haaaaaaawwwwwt

so fucking good!!!!!!!!!!!
damn this rips

"PUNK"
Aight I’ve had this on repeat for days. First off, I ask you all, what can I listen to that’s like this? Pandora can’t hang. Women in punk to me, enable for melodies to float over more creative and unique grooves. Like how the bass and guitar have created an intricate and beautiful setting that speaks all uniquely on its own. Would be different if someone was screaming without delicacy. Which is what I do in my band...
Curtis Buettner yo definitely give the band warehouse a shot. Both of their albums are great, but I actually never tire of their sophomore release “super low”
There is a group called Bluem, check out their Ep 'Picolina', my friend is the writer/singer, when I first heard Mothers I thought "I know where she gets all her ideas from" haha but she'd never heard of 'em. Well worth a listen.
late late late reply but illuminati hotties, mannequin pussy, chastity belt, old charly bliss, remember sports
This song seems very inspired by Blonde Redhead. They have quite a discography with a range of sounds, from post-punk to ethereal pop. This song especially reminds me of their song “In Particular”, id suggest starting with that song and album, and then listen to the album Misery is a Butterfly
Not superficially similar, but anything by the Throwing Muses and Kristin Hersh. Especially the first Muses album, House Tornado.
if anyone ever finds or makes a bass tab for this please let me know
This is tripping me out, everything is going to just Mars out.
Que pinche canción más chingona
Wow
Damn did they really reference Sam Pink? That's tight
Also this video is very David Lynch and I love it
Fucking love iiiiiit
Love the distortion!
It smeels like post punk
title fight vibes
me like
this band doesnt get enough coverage
Marika Hackman goes post-punk vibes
good vid, surprise ending there, i liked her watchin the tv at night
Or dead can dance maybe.... 🤔 Hahahahaha good music.
Uhhh... Yeah
I M M E N S E
this kinda reminds me of "girl band - paul"
how
I'm thinking of starting a new band and calling it BEATLES.
Yeah. I couldn't even pause the 15 second forcible rape of an ad to comment. This might be the best song ever but it's not getting abused by YT, adsense and the channel owner to watch it.
Big thief though 🙄
oh fuck, Nevermind. Finally got past the ads. This music is shit, I don't need it stinking up my channel.
Whatever, if you ever do post something that isn't shit and has uncloseable ads on it you can bet your ass I'll rip it, post it and laugh in your face.
It's just too bad that they had to settle on a wholey unoriginal name
boooring
