Looks like good quality very different from the Hario systems for sure. A new learning curve 👍
Yeah man, flat bottom brewing is very different from your conical brewers like V60. My favourite flat bottom brewer would be the Origami Dripper with Kalita wave filters. However the Kalita dripper itself would be next in line ;)
Cheers for tuning in again!
Ceramics are my choice, for sure. I like those sandstones…I’ll have to purchase a 185. I love the porcelain one.
Something about the sandstone just works so well, it has a great texture to it as well and over time with washing it tends to get slightly smoother.
I’m not sure why but I’m Australia we can only source the 185 sized Sandstone Kalita drippers.

Happy brewing !
Hi, for brewing 354g into a coffee mug, would you recommend the 155 or 185? I like 12 oz coffee in the mugs I use. Thanks!
Hey mate thanks for watching! You could probably get away with brewing in the 155 however it won’t hurt to go for the larger 185 size.
Hope this helps 🙌
@@TheBasicBarista It does help, thank you!
Which is better the porcelain or stainless? Thank youuu! Love your videos!
Thanks so much! 😆
The ceramic sandstone is rly nice and if you have experience using other ceramic drippers like the ceramic V60 or Origami Dripper it is a similar brewing experience to use. The sandstone has a nice weight to it and I would say that it definitely isn’t delicate like other ceramics.
We chose to stock the stainless because it is lightweight, durable and available in both the 155 & 185 size.
They are both fun to use, personally I prefer the 155 stainless steel dripper because it is a great size for me and I like how it is lightweight for when I take it with me anywhere.
I don’t think either of the two is better but they certainly have their differences ☺️
Thanks for watching! Good luck with your dripper decision.
Happy brewing!
@@TheBasicBarista Great video it would travel very well in stainless and super easy to clean that stuff👍
@@neilfoster9517 Yes! definitely more travel friendly and all coffee stains just wipe off clean with the stainless :)
ive had both and the stainless is more durable so its my pick. i just broke my porcelain the other day, so sad
