You know, I really felt like I've gone nowhere with Spanish but, I listen to things in Spanish and study every day. I don't think I can write in Spanish or speak it well but, I at least understood 95% or more of this video. Heck, there's people who speak to me in English that I'll only catch 95% of what they say so, that's not bad. I loved this video! Thanks Ali!
Have you tried DreamingSpanish? It was an absolute game changer for me. Apps like duolingo and textbooks/classes don't even compare to DreamingSpanish.
Go search up "Language Transfer" and find the Spanish one, it helped me understand sentence structures/grammar, basically how & why this word is placed at a certain place. Additionally, there's A LOT of vocabulary that you learn throughout an episode, which also comes in handy. It's all audio, and there's over 80 videos I believe, I highly recommend it. Last summer I listened up to 20 episodes but stopped, so this summer I'm hoping to find some motivation to rewatch all of them 😅
This is my favorite slow/comprehensible Spanish channel I have found. I love how you speak kindly and with enthusiasm. It’s a real confidence boost to find out I understand much more than I thought I could, so early in my Spanish learning journey. Muchas gracias Ali. Me encantan tus videos
Soon we will be experts in Mexican food 🙂 I am completing my dictionary and it is great fun to learn all the details. Many thanks for adding Spanish subtitles.
This is the first video I’ve watched fully in Spanish. I usually put a video on while I eat but I’ve been really into learning Spanish so I seen this video and gave it a try. I’m really seeing my Spanish comprehension is getting better! I’m surprised how much I understood! I had to put the captions on because my ears are not trained yet, but it’s baby steps fasho!
Hi, Ali! Thank you so much for your videos. I'm so happy that I found your channel since I started to study Mexican Spanish because it's perfect for studying. You always pronounce words clearly, and therefore I'm able to understand 70-80% of the spoken words. Also, there aren't many Mexican UA-camrs who focus on teaching the language, so your content is quite unique in this way. Your vlogs are my favorite type of videos because I'm always learning (more or less) some things about Mexican culture. I'm looking forward to your next videos and wishing you a great day!
Necesitamos muchos videos mismo. I love the way you give thumbs up so funny 😂❤ P.s : Unfortunately, only Mexican food we have here is from Taco Bell. Wanna try original Mexican Tacos!
El local siempre vencerá a las franquicias. I'm American, originally from Michigan, now in southern Arizona, and I am just learning Spanish. I really enjoy your channel. I hope San Francisco treats you well. ❤
I’m from the US and it made me giggle once you got to Chipotle. I don’t think anybody here considers it real Mexican food lol but it can be tasty. And yeah a lot of us get Burrito Bowls. I’m really enjoying this video though! *Also Taco Bell is definitely not real Mexican food. I wouldn’t even advise you eat it 😮
Off topic but You are soooo bonita 😭💗 like you have such a pleasant smile ❤️ Also your videos are so calm and interesting it really does helps me a lot in my spanish language learning. Muchísimas gracias Ali💗 Don't stop you are doing an amazing job💗💗
Near the beginning of the video, the waiter says "lleva arroz y frijoles a un lado." in the context of the conversation, I'm assuming that he's telling you that it comes with beans and rice on the side. When I look that up on three different translators, it translates that phrase to say, "take rice and beans on the side." Can you help me understand this?
Yes! In that context, “lleva” means that “it comes with”. It’s not its literal definition. It would be the same meaning as in “viene con” or “trae”. “Lleva” is slightly more informal than the other ones, but very often used!
Muy interesante! Gracias. I am a gringo living in Colombia, and it is really difficult to find good Mexican food here. Colombian food is not like Mexican. Here in Medellin most of my paisa friends cannot stand even a small amount of spicy! I really miss good Mexican food as much as anything in the US.
Tambien me gusta mucho Chipotle.
I love Taco Bell! I'm from southern California and it was always a special treat growing up. It's obviously not authentic, but still good. You should try some more things there. That taco didn't look great. I live in Mexico now and that's the one fast food I miss the most!
I have been enjoying listening to all of your videos, and so fun that you moved to my home town, San Francisco (Actually I live in Berkeley but close by). I am excited to try La Taquiera on Mission. If you want to make a video where you take a BART trip to Berkeley, I'll have lots of ideas for you. Thanks for all of the good content, I learn something new with every video. 😇
CHIPOTLE it's not Mexican food, neither taco bell , Tex-mex food nothing too be compared to Mexican food, just ask to foreigners from all over the World that traveled to Mexico.
Which one is your favorite Mexican spot? 😋
No se pero te amo

Ha sido divertido. Gracias por hacerlo posible.
Gracias por quedarte!
I think you are very kind to give Taco Bell more than 1 star. Thank you for speaking slowly enough for me to understand most of what you said.
omg I got like 80% what you've said and I am so proud to find out a UA-cam channel who teaches Spanish by context in a very easy way
Really love these videos
They help me so much!

Wow, this is excellent learner content. Still a bit above my level to catch every word, but I’m getting there. You’ve got a new subscriber.
Debes probar Chuy’s!

I'll definitely try other things on the menu!

Tambien, me gusta Chipotle.
Hi, when will you add more comprehensible input? I really your comprehensible input.
Tampoco me gusta Taco Bell. 😂
What means mole?
CHIPOTLE it's not Mexican food, neither taco bell , Tex-mex food nothing too be compared to Mexican food, just ask to foreigners from all over the World that traveled to Mexico.
