MEXICO IS COUNTRY #24 (!!!!!). This was our very first time in Mexico City, and we hit the ground running with a thorough food tour, trying 15 different Mexican foods in less than 24 hours. 😁 That night was the fullest our stomachs have ever felt, and Claire unfortunately got a pretty severe allergic reaction to the pulque (cross-contamination from pine nuts in the pulqueria) after we ended the video. 😮‍💨 Despite all that, WE REGRET NOTHING! 😂 Everything was absolutely delicious. Have you tried any of these Mexican foods, and if so, what’s your favorite? 🇲🇽

      Hi there,
How are you both? If you do not mind me sharing; a well-planned, organic and unrefined plant-based diet (consuming edible raw plant foods where possible so as not to denature enzymatic activities beneficial to the human system. If disagreeing on this matter, please try planting some steamed carrots and see if they will grow; if they fail to, it is because they are 'dead' plant food that cannot fully nourish one's 'living' cells) consisting of organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds and whole grains is the best diet to provide mankind with ultimate health and longevity. These foods, fresh and grown in rich soil, are found all the essential vitamins, calcium, carbohydrates, fats, fibre, minerals, protein and water needed to make good blood and enjoy health.
Please avoid meat alternatives that contain harmful preservatives and additives e.g vinegar, a corrosive agent. Food toxicity and nutrient deficiency (e.g white bread, white rice and white sugar) are a deadly combination as one is hindering the body's building materials needed to action healing whilst at the same time taxing the system with more damaging toxic things, thus bringing about disease and possibly even an early death.
      GOD Bless
      💙💙💙

What a fun tour! Mexico City is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to....just the landscape; the physical mentality of smiles, singing and approachability of people; the cafes, the nightclubs, the architecture/museums, the churches...just the elegance of aged settlement. I live for tostadas, tacos, burritos...in that order. 😊 Thanks for the tour...and the realived memories of my favorite city! 🖐 Wisconsin says hi, Claire and Chad!

About dipping the churros: there's this culinary habit in Mexico of "chopear", which means dipping the sweet snacks (usually small pastries, bread or cookies) into your beverage like coffee, chocolate, milk, atole, etc. That's why it's more usual to dip the churros in a chocolate beverage, as the thicker chocolate is nor very usual (that's considered more gourmet or at least it's not a mexican thing)

Hot Chocolate with churros would be more of a breakfast food while churros with dipping chocolate would be a dessert. In Pujol Mex Restaurant they a mother mole that's been going for 150 days. It's like a sourdough starter that if you keep feeding it it will last forever. As a finisher, they give you a large circle of mother mole with a younger mole in the centre and tortillas to dip.

Concha is the predecessor of pineapple bun. According Wiki, "In the 1940s a family named the Ng family, who had been among those deported during the war, opened their own restaurant in Hong Kong. Drawing inspiration from the traditional Mexican pastry known as a concha, they decided to create their own version with a slight twist. This unique variation came to be known as pineapple buns or Ba Lo Bao, despite not containing any actual pineapple as an ingredient."
