The Senate Budget Committee holds a hearing to examine the future of EVs - 7/31/2024
Why do they want to spend tax payers money, they don’t they provide themselves to American people.
We have so much debt. That need to pay first and defense.
Our money being burned
Yes driving a ev is logically befitting.... but the actual man power and manufacturing going into making these destroys the world even more as apposed to doing what we are already doing..... kind of a lose lose
Components of diesel exhaust.
Also known as diesel fumes, diesel exhaust is a complex mixture of gases and diesel particulate matter (DPM). Components include:
carbon monoxide
carbon dioxide
sulphur dioxide
nitrogen oxides
aldehydes including benzene and formaldehyde
hydrocarbons
polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
soot (carbon)
The major component of diesel exhaust is soot (60%-80%). This is what you see coming out of the exhaust pipe.
Most of the DPM, also known as fine particulate matter, consists of particles so tiny they are easily inhaled and deposited in the lower lungs where they cause various health effects.
This is not the business of the Government. The free market is dead
Thank you Adam .
Electric Cars create Fire's, not easily put out.
Another waisted hearing of people trying to protect their wealth, assets, and investments. The answer that solves many of these issues is Water Hydrogen Technology. Win Win for All Parties.
Is it feasible?
So much misinformation in these politicians. Why don’t you try listening to somebody like Tony Seba with Rethinkx? You know somebody with a track record of actually predicting things accurately.
The future is electric, ev would be more affordable if you could lease the battery, oh wait you can, only in China tho...
I don't buy an ICE auto so that I can replace the engine every 60-70k miles, why would I accept it for an EV battery replacement? Which actually costs about 50-60% of the EV's original purchase price. It's just another SMART product to be consumed by the climate rubes.
The warranty on the battery and drivetrain is 8 years or 120,000 miles. How long is the warranty on your gas engine and transmission?
Do you have any idea how much it costs to replace a gas or diesel engine, or an automatic transmission?
Less gubment
Beginning made so much sense... let's see how they funnel the money to their donors and not to where it belongs.
This is not the business of the Government.
😃 I got an idea but I'm not going to tell you
🤫 Self-charging EV's 😳,🖕🤬 PG&E
🌞
☝️😎 Built-into the paint
Glass has nothing to do with solar panels working
How about you all keep your hands out of it and let the private market figure it out.
Like what Big Pharma did with healthcare? How well is that going?
@@angelic710 The government is very involved in healthcare, another one they should let the private market figure out. What is your point here?
@@SpeedisSpeed But still a lot of it is run by Big Pharma, except Medicaid and Medicare- only Fed program actually doing some good. The point is let’s not get corporate greed go unregulated everywhere.
I agree cut all those huge taxpayer subsidy to car makers and fossil fuel companies. If the market doesn't want them why should the taxpayer Keep them alive? Also Biden quadrupled the import tax on EVs to 100%... if we set that to 0% and let the free private market figure it out $15,000 Chinese EV will take over within a year or two in the US and make all US car companies extinct like the dodo.
Agreed, the States are so far behind in this as with many other technologies.
I'm glad they're at least starting the conversation.
As a Millennial, I can tell you most of my fellows demand electric vehicles. We're willing to buy whichever company produces the best/most efficient vehicle, American or not.
I remember learning about American ingenuity of the past.
I'm not holding my breath. I already have an EV. I'm watching for the next generation to trade up.
Please, please.. Update our country! Our lack of foresight on this and so many other aspects is quite embarrassing!
Don't be afraid of change. We're good at evolving as a country, if we work together.
We're ready for this.
What EV do you own.
❤
Cr holy for me.
👋
Kennedy is way too old and set in his ways to govern. He needs to retire.
Get out before you make too much of a fool of yourself.
