    We've had a silver eagle for quite a few years. It just turned over 800 hrs. It had a recall on the hydraulic pumps because that year they had tried a different type and they didn't last, but aside from that which was taken care of by them we've done very little repairs. Mostly little electronic stuff. The Generac 27hp has never missed a beat, but it is a bit thirsty. Great mower overall. Has far outlived the consumer grade zero turns we used to have.

      I got 2 John Deere tractor they cut good but the chopper is faster I use the John Deere on the tall stuff just to save the chopper from the extra abuse I mow some huge yard and it cuts allot of Time off my mowing
      Also I run x blades they really make sure nothing clumps up just doesn't love being ran into 2ft tall stuff going full speed I have the 20hp Kohler so it's no power house but it's a beast

    Cool looking great dane. I lost my great dane 2 years back. Man I miss my rosie girl. My next dane will be either a mantle or a blue merlequin cored one.

    I've had mine for 4 1/2 years with the briggs commercial turf series 23hp engine. I've has to cutt some tall grass and it does ok when it would clogg i just raise the deck and drop it a time or 2 and it usually unclog it. I've had to replace the battery , key switch , fix solenoid(from trying to start with bad battery) and went through at least 9-10 sets of blades. Most mowers like come with the same engines , transmissions . The deck design is odd top and bottom. It's
    Tuff and doesn't seem to collect grass like others but the clips in pin that holds deck up come out from time to time and a few bolts too. I like the rubber grass shoot handles. I also had to add a ground wire to the frame

    • @jasonateam
      @jasonateam  3 роки тому

      Sounds like it has done you well. I did have a pin come out the deck as well but for the most part I hadn't had to do much else. I'm still loving mine

      @@jasonateam I love mine to I just hope i don't regret the salesman talking me into getting the briggs commercial turf engine instead of the kawasaki. I've used mine for more than what it was intended for. While it cuts good and I do like the 48" deck over the 54 because more power to the blades and easier into gates and on trailers that underside deck design is odd. Just doesn't seem like grass would flow through as good as if it had less stuff for grass to hit. Also blades have odd size bolt hole. The oem blades are the only ones that last any other blades wear out really fast and start vibrating even after balancing. My brother has a hustler raptor sd 54 and I like mine better

      @@southerngentleman2516 nice. Yea I was up in the air on the 48 vs 54. I think all the engine options are nice and I like the briggs. Thanks for letting me know

    Could there be a way you could show how to start and get it to back up? House sitting on some land and the yard is huge and doing it by push mower I doubt I can get it done in three days haha. Plus what does the pto button means?

    I have owned a Zee1 for seven or eight years. It mows OK, but unfortunately the mower has several design defects.
    First it came with pneumatic tires on the front that would not hold air AND had to be removed from the chopper to add air. After several go rounds with the dealer, the replaced the wheels with solid ones - score one for the dealer.
    Second the gas filler is on the vertical panel on the right hand side of the machine. The way you know it is filled is when the gas ours out. Really poor and a safety hazard if there is an open flame. Even putting the filler under the seat would have done two things: first it would be easy to see how full the tank is and second would make is much easier to see when the tank was getting full.
    Third issue is the mower deck belt guards. These are formed by bending flat steel into a box with mounting ears. The problem is while they did put relief holes at the corner of the bend to form the ear, the bend radius was too sharp and the ears break off due to the vibration of the deck. I just got back from my local welder to re-weld of the ears back on. All four ears have been welded at least once and the one today was the third time.
    Forth issue is the levers used to control the forward/reverse motion. These are flimsy and my other half who is 5'4" and 120 lbs has bent/moved them more than once so they are not on the same plane..
    So while the mower does a reasonable job cutting grass, it is poorly designed and a maintenance headache.

    • @jasonateam
      @jasonateam  4 роки тому

      Sorry to hear that. That must have been a really old version because mine addresses some of those issues and I don't have that problem. Sorry to hear your not loving yours. I appreciate you letting everyone know and thanks for watching

    How well dose it do in wet grass and slopes and seam like it did good in that tall grass

    • @jasonateam
      @jasonateam  4 роки тому

      They recommend not using it with wet grass but have used it a couple of times when wet and it worked great. If it is higher and wet it will clump up and make it harder for it to come out the chute

    Doesn’t look all that great….clearly bogging down. Grass was too wet. Cut it once….let it dry…..cut again at a different angle.

      It was a little too wet. But it does handle the grass great.
