A few things:
1. In real life I am many things. However, I am NOT a pen thief... My technicians will confirm this!
2. There's no beef like the beef between night shift and day shift. BUT! We do love each other... Most days...
3. There is a lot of booze exchanged during the holidays in vet hospitals... I imaging it's the same thing at human hospitals too!
Please be sure to thank your veterinary hospital staffs this holiday season! Holidays are very rough for veterinary hospitals. There is a massive increase in euthanasias during the holidays. We work very long hours, and don't get to see our families as much as we'd like. Some of us work the holidays and don't actually get to spend it with our families. Pet owners take their stress of the holidays out of on us when things go wrong with their pets. It can be rough. Baked goods and holiday cards with your pets looking super cute are great ways to show your appreciation!
At my vet hospital we couldn't find our ornaments. We used twine tied tennis balls and dog poop bags as bows.
"Are we alcoholics?" And that little pause after he said no 😂
Teachers and medical people-we do rely a bit too much on the hooch

I absolutely love your videos. Animal people are so much more fun then regular people. So I should definitely get my vet lots and lots and lots of good liquor? Good to know!

I would like day people to work ONE week of overnight shifts. Just ONE. And *then* they can go back to complaining that our understaffed, overworked arses are too busy scrambling to get minor shit done.....🔥
YES! And stop eating all the food you dayshifters! (Granted some pizza actually tastes really interesting when its been sitting in the box on the counter all day... Never got that flavor again lol. Was also about the only time there was anything left.)
Overnighters are the badasses. Same type of emergencies, 1/4 the staff, all the same number of hospitalized patients. I did overnights for 9 months and it was mach 10 with your ass in fire.
I see bartenders and vet clinic staff have the same type of livers
Reminds me of what a uncle once said "as long as I am sipping the good stuff I am not an alcoholic", he now lives in a trailer on church owned land in the Sierra foothills recovering from a cocaine addiction while downing a ton of cheap beer... I still think it isn't a bad saying
