I was watching the game with a "normie" friend who is not a sports fan per se but follows loosely and finds watching an occasional game with me entertaining enough. He looked at me and asked, "It's not normal for a quarterback to be sacked so many times during a game, is it?" I just looked at him and said "Um... No".
Elway lost in his rookie season, lost 2 SuperBowls, finally in his 16th year, he won it all. If Bo follows that same trajectory, Perna will be a happy man in 2040.
Regardless of what happens this week, we have to agree that either of our teams goes out and beats the Chiefs. I won't root for the Ravens in the Superbowl just as I don't expect you to root for the Bills. (Unless it's the Eagles or Rams because fuck the Eagles and Rams).
BUF starting linebackers were Baylon Spectre, signed of the street, Nicholas Morrow (practice squad), and 3rd year man backup Dorian Williams. Instead of AP Matt Milano and starting Mic Terrell Bernard. AP Taron Johnson did not play. FS Taylor Rapp left with a concussion 1st quarter, forcing rookie Cole Bishop into a role he wasn't ready for. Bills run nickel 82% of the time as base defense. Without Taron, Cam Lewis steps in and it isn't great. Shakir left early in the game and is their top WR, Cooper was not on the team. Kincaid was also banged up. It will be different based on that alone, not to mention it is in BUF this time where the Bills have not lost a game yet this year. AND now ZAY may be out?
As a secondary Lions supporter… do NOT let go of Ben Johnson. If anything, move him to Assistant Coach or whatever position he could go to that pays more in the Lions organization and when Dan Campbell leaves, move Ben Johnson to HC. Letting go of Ben Johnson would be a HORRIBLE move for the Lions. Unless they win the SB this year; otherwise. Do NOT let him go.
I'm sure Sheila Hamp would be willing to give Ben Johnson (and Aaron Glenn) substantial pay raises but the organization can't really stop them from taking head coaching gigs elsewhere. I sure there's already plans in place to replace them. I figure Tanner Engstrand, the Lions passing game coordinator, will get promoted to OC and linebackers coach Kelvin Sheppard will get bumped up to replace Glenn. A potential outside DC candidate would be Dennis Allen, who was DC for the Saints when Campbell was assistant head coach/TE coach for the team.
Bold choice to put the chargers at number 3 but I see what you mean. Herbert is definitely a top 5 QB in the league and I look forward to seeing him dominate in the divisional
Dude i expected ravens fans be confident as a result of our matchup in the regular season but holy shit saying buffalo is a city of losers is the kind of locker room whiteboard motivation that gets the other team wanting to put up 70 on you I hope we plaster baltimore on sunday, belt to ass no excuses
@Eclipse_Coffee Has dude taken a look at Baltimore aka "Harm City" lately? Probably not because I bet he lives in some posh suburb. Buffalo's a run-down dirty old town that's been down on its luck for half a century, sure, but at least the air is just made of icicles up here instead of bullets.
This is the first year I'm actually keeping up with the playoffs. Sad our Broncos got out last week, but super excited for next season. I hope the lions and texans both make it all the way to the bowl
You know going into the Bucs game I was saying we (WAS) needed to get our RBs going to keep their offense off the field. That didn't happen, but we did still manage to keep the Bucs offense off the field. Look at that games T.O.P., JD5 can do it without the help of RBs.
15:11 Yes they can. Remember in 2022 when they were playing Cincy in a snow storm with Damar Hamlin in attendance right after he left the hospital, and Jim Kelly was on the field hyping up the crowd? They got spanked for 60 minutes. And just like that game, they're getting the worst possible matchup considering that the Ravens have the personnel to exploit every single one of their flaws especially in defensive game planning. (You can't run 4-2-5 against King Henry with unsized DLs and LBs)
It should be the best game. I think the Ravens can pull it off. Ravens best bet is if my Texans can someone defeat KC as Baltimore would steamroll us right into the SB. But it would be sweeter for Lamar to actually defeat KC instead of the Texans
Yes josh had got caught cheating on his fiancee, the engagement was off, so Diggs arms wide in front of him asking was the pu$$y worth it josh?! But sure everyone not in our area dont talk about actuals&factuals Also Bengals beat them with 2 or 3? Backup Oline guys an ran for 230+ in our Buffalo blizzard weather
The ravens played a vacant buffalo team earlier this year. 2 starting LB out, 2 starting DBs out, yet to sign Cooper, and there were still other injuries. This isnt the same game. Bills are still terrible against the run, but that doesnt change the fact that the personnel and location are different. In the past 5 years the Bills are better in the playoffs and they win at home. I think the Ravens have a better team overall, and the coaching is definitely WAY better. We'll see what happens Sunday, but I wouldn't just chock this up as an automatic win for the Ravens.
@@jaydeatts It isn't the same game for sure, but you can't play your normal defense and expect to win given that you're at a size disadvantage in this game. If the Bills are going to win, Josh Allen must be on his A game. Either way its going to be a grind.
13:27 i never once thought that as a lions fan watching that game. Not very often I just completely disagree with something you said. Rams pretty much mirrored what we did it was way more of a "we broke the Vikings" than "we arent good on defense" thats pretty crazy to say after 2 whole weeks of bad vikings qb play
Taron Johnson didn't play in the week 4 game against the Ravens. Neither did Tyrell Bernard or Matt Milano. This is functionally a different Bills defense than the one that played in September.
my honest opinion is that the ravens still have a better team and way better coaching, but the bills are playing at home and they have Josh Allen. 38-27 Bills
Heads up. THE CURSE WHEEL DOESN'T MEAN PERNA WANTS ANY REAL LIFE HARM IN THE CITY OF THE TEAM CURSED. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT BLAMING PERNA FOR ANY IRL ISSUES IN SAID CITY.
You're right that WAS wants to run more, but the problem with that is that they haven't really been able to for several weeks now. Brian Robinson hasn't been right since returning from injury, and while Ekeler's shown flashes, multiple concussions is a red flag and they've been reducing his touches. Jeremy McNichols is really a change of pace guy. IMHO, this team needs Chris Rodriguez. I know that sounds insane, claiming the RB4 might be the key to the game, but he's the most Robinson-like RB on 1st and 2nd downs. When this offense is at it's best, it's not that they get dramatically better at explosives - it's that they're absolutely PUNISHINGLY efficient at success rate. They stay on schedule and just keep advancing and converting. The reason WAS is going to lose to Detroit is that Detroit's offense is going to absolutely shred this defense. This will put point pressure on the offense to be more aggressive than they're really capable of being at this stage of their development where they really only have one reliable receiving weapon.
I can't wait for when the Chiefs reach the Super Bowl again this year to see Perna's voodoo black mass to try to curse them, it's going to be legendary.
Washington beating Detroit would be a big upset, but LA beating Philly would be more shocking just because of how badly mismatched the Rams are against the Eagle
The Rams are a pretty easy call for the curse wheel. It's hard to imagine that L.A. didn't use up all their luck and then some against the Vikings last week.
Here’s the deal Perna, if nix has a back fracture he might not be 100% for a long time. They need to shut him tf down after the season cuz a fractured lumbar takes forever to rehab (not necessarily to heal). I’m speaking from experience when I say a back fracture can be career altering(collegiate for myself). Not great
The Rams game was like a video game for Sam Darnold, where every sack he took, he would lose some gold from his inventory
I was watching the game with a "normie" friend who is not a sports fan per se but follows loosely and finds watching an occasional game with me entertaining enough. He looked at me and asked, "It's not normal for a quarterback to be sacked so many times during a game, is it?" I just looked at him and said "Um... No".
He thought this was the run where he'd finally beat the boss, but he found out his build couldn't do it.
😂😂😂 as a vikings fan, this shit made it worse a little less. Even though I'm pretty much already over it. I'm used to this kinda shit 😂😂😂😂.

Anyways, he cursed the Ohio State Buckeyes
It didn't work the last time the wheel cursed the Rams, so hopefully the team's current magic will still be enough to ward off the wheel.
The reporter who called Buffalo a city of loser is also despised by us ravens fans
He should come check it out. I have a feeling he'll stay..... permanently 😵
