When I got mine it had an O/R X pipe and flowmasters, sounded like shit. Didn't take long for me to switch to a Bassani Catted X pipe and Borla Stingers. No complaints from me I think it sounds great. Having cats on it tones down any rasp from the X pipe as well.
Fixing to ditch my offoad Bassani xpipe this week for the catted one. Far too loud for my taste. Really want that MAC Prochamber but I got scammed online from a fraud website last week thinking they still have them out there. Currently disputing it via Paypal but they don't wanna refund my money.

@@kennethdurbin3385 You shouldn't as far as I know. Mine came with an O/R X and I put the catted X on it and a different catback and did not get it tuned until the pulley swap.
Lol I had/have all 3, well not the mac prochamber just the regular mac 3 in mufflers. My cobra came with the Macs and they sounded great, but I couldn't polish them so I a found a great deal on the borla stingers. Those were way too freaking loud and raspy, people were always thinking I was racing them from a stop light. So I decided to cut out the stingers and have a shop weld on magnaflows (non magnapack, the rectangle ones) mufflers. They sound great outside the car, but not so well inside, which is really strange. Anyway, in hindsight, I should have just kept the stingers and switched out my o/r xpipe for an o/r hpipe to calm the noise and rasp down a bit. I still might do get an h pipe and look for a set of used magnapacks or stingers mufflers.

Pypes makes the HFM37, which is a stainless "H-box" as they call it. Same idea. I'm not sure if it would directly mate up to the ARH longtubes, but I'm sure it could be modified. I've got an S550 and have always loved the Terminators above all, especially that exhaust note. I chose a catback (Krona) for mine that uses a Prochamber-style center resonator for the sound alone.

I’m sure if it had cats it may sound better. …. But who wants cats 🤷🏼♂️🙄 Now.. the Borla S Type mufflers I went with, which are Boral Stingers I believe sounded much better! Deeper tone and less rasp. I forgot the drone on the magnapacks I’d have to listen to old videos. But the Borla has ZERO drone. I guess that’s why they cost so much, they are a great muffler for our car. Wish they made a 3”! There’s a different name Borla that’s 3” and looks like a stinger, forgot the name
As of right now I’m all in on Long Tubes - bassani off road x - pypes pype bomb cat back If I ever had to redo I’d just get a Borla stinger with the same mid pipe and headers
Great video, earned my sub! The Magnapacks with the pro-chamber was really nice, first time hearing that combo. I had a pro-chamber on my first 04 cobra with FlowMasters American Thunder. Loved the sound of that car, sadly I sold it. After 13 years, I just picked up another Terminator last Saturday which I'm stoked about, but I recently learned MAC is out of business so have been really searching to match that sound of the pro-chamber. MRT makes a decent(expensive) H-pipe, but it doesn't seem to have as deep of a tone as the prochamber. I may look for an old one and have a new one fabricated from it.

I've heard the Mac Prochambers before and they sound really good. I'm trying a new exhaust system with the engine I'm building It should be on the quieter side with a cool tone. SVE shorty headers, catted Bassani X-pipe, and Flowmaster FlowFX which are similar to Magnaflows.
There is a chance that Bassani changed the muffler design "recently" I had posted a photo of my mufflers guts, and another member said their exact same muffler looked VERY different Can't confirm this
I've had a few different setups on a few different 4v cars and I agree that a prochamber makes everything sound MUCH better. And I also agree that they are shit quality, unfortunately, since they produce the best sound by far.

I just can not stand stand the popping these cars produce on the deceleration it just sounds so glass packish. It’s ear curdling and throws you off that is coming from a mustang. Those are my thoughts and feelings. That being said I went steeda cat back and it sounds very classy but has the tone that sounds just right.
Nah. Borla Stinger. Magnapack is obnoxiously loud for obnoxious personalities. Don’t need to overcompensate your lack of size. It’s a Cobra, let the car speaks for itself without needing to sound silly.

I swapped out my magnapacs to borla stingers due to wanting a better looking quality cat back but the magnapacs do sound better.
i have bassani 3" as well no headers . i feel like something with the sound . maybe adding headers will give it a deeper sound
