  • I bought my 3-pack screen protector here: amzn.to/3z3qTsV It's super easy to install and will definitely add re-sale value when it comes time to upgrade your cameras.

    The small stickers are not dust pickers. They are used to hold the screen in the correct position. They have 'Guide Stickers' written on them.
    Before removing backing, place protector in the correct position and stick along one edge using the two small stickers.
    Now fold back the protector, with the stickers now acting as hinges and remove the protector backing.
    The protector can now folded baack down. With the stickers, the protector will be perfectly aligned.

      They just labeled differently for identification, but feel free to use whatever is appropriate

    A very simple technique when leaving the box is not to touch the screen, because it is already cleaned. Just Silicone Super Air Blower, then put a sticky protective film, to remove dust on everything the screen. ( the protective film for dust, can be a film for smartphones, cheap that leaves no trace, the importance is that it covers the whole screen ) prepare the final protective film, remove the dust film and quickly install the new one., simple, effective, fast and without trace or dust between the screen and the protective film.

    I want to get the Sony A7 IV because Sony didn't update the a6600 successor in awhile but it's so expensive and so are all the lenses as if the Sony A6600 isn't expensive enough.

      Depends on use, I use the A7 IV and my older A7 R III professionally to make income, which quickly recovers the price of the body and lenses after just a few photo shoots. If you want a good full frame camera, start with Sony A7 III and a Tamron F2.8 zoom lens, it's quite affordable and is able to handle professional work and produce income so later you can upgrade to better devices and lenses.

      @@TheGizmoGarage oh ok!! how much is the f2.8 zoom lens? I like the a7 IV because of the flip screen.

    Won't a glass protecter block the screen from facing inwards?

    So, there is no pre installed screen protector on the Sony a7 iv?

    What are you thoughts on the Sony PCK-LG2 Screen Protector on b and h?is it just Sony tax or all the same?

      It's all the same: Glass :-)
      Unless the Sony one is multi-coated to reduce glare (which I doubt since they did not mention multi-coating) otherwise, a piece of glass is a piece of glass, with same light transmittance value...

    Never ever use alcohol.

    • @TheGizmoGarage
      @TheGizmoGarage  Місяць тому

      All screen protector manufactures will include alcohol for cleaning off grease before installation of the glasses. Zeiss medical also recommend using 70%+ alcohol for cleaning of their medical device lenses.

      @@TheGizmoGarage but can alcohol penetrate through the lcd screen protector or is that not possible?

    • @TheGizmoGarage
      @TheGizmoGarage  Місяць тому +1

      @@imprisonedone8054 It will not penetrate. The LCD coating on the screen is also safe when using 70% rubbing alcohol. Just do not pour liquid directly on the screen but using a lint-free cloth and you should be okay.
