I'll never be able to express the enjoyment I get from watching your videos. I'm 65 and live alone but trying to go back to my roots. I'm learning to grow my food, wish I had paid more attention to my Granny. She feed us from her garden and from her chickens and worked in Brown Miller pickle factory. I was grown before I realized how much that little lady provided from her hard work. She was raised in the era where if you didn't grow it you didn't eat. I learn something helpful from you guys every time I watch. Love your little family...

After a day of 12 hours at the office, going through meetings after meetings, dealing with stress out people all days and then to be stuck in traffic for 2 hours. I come home and see a new video of yours and it's a blessing, I envy you.

You can bump a cow to test for pregnancy when she is far enough along. It is easy with dairy cows and most particularly jerseys. Just bump on her left side where the calf should be laying and you can feel it. Often it will push back or kick against you. It's the way we did it 50 years ago

This was a cool video!! I think my favorite scene was Grace feeding the small goats and they were all around her. What a wonderful sight, a young lady enjoying her animal friends. A city girl would probably be frightened. Good information too!

I sometimes watch your videos more than once. I am no longer physically able to do what you and your family are doing but I so enjoy watching you following your dream. I am able to share with others, what you are teaching, so in a way, I do share in your dream. Thanks for making that possible. God bless you and your family. I hope to still be watching as your children begin to follow in the ways of their parents.

Great video! Superb message. Humanity expend too much energy on control, when the magic often shows itself in the lack of control. Nature is a fine balance and we can just go with the flow as much as is practical : )

The clip of the goats all going to town on that one ailanthus GIVES ME HOPE!!
I live in an urban area completely overrun by ailanthus and the common recommendation is to use crossbow herbicide to control it. If goats happily eat this stuff THATS what we should be doing instead of poisoning the earth!!!

As I watch this I realized you will be hunting for chicken eggs in that area too. I watched a previous video and remember seeing your wife have to pick up eggs off the ground. Now you and the kids can really have an Easter egg hunt. If a hen finds a area that is suitable for nesting in their new expansion, she may lay there as well as the rest of the flock. I wonder if you all will also build mobile nesting box. To where there is ample room for hens to next so they will always have a place to lay?
I love how all the animals are in one area. The cow grazing, the goats eating the shrub, and the bugs the chickens will get from the the larger animals moving through the area are wonderful. Plus the chickens scratching up the decomposed wood in that new area will be a treat..:-)

We do wonder about who the thumbs downers are and why the watch. (Though I think some folks think of it as a rating, "not my favorite...") But yes, we feel the overwhelmingly positive feedback overall.

Art, Goats are made for that brambles and scrub they need more than grass. I don't know if you are aware of cows and wild cherry trees, as long as the tree's are alive the leaves are fine, but if there are limbs cut off and they started wilting the get poison to cattle . So just wanted to let you know that. thanks
