    You lovely gentleman, you. Went in for a tutorial from some random, and found it from the man himself. Good on ya, Frank. A man of the people.

    Was having a real mental / physical block initially on the strumming pattern. And then it was suddenly there and locked in! Thank you, good sir, for doing this.

    I don't play guitar. I didn't follow a word of this. But I love the care, the attention, the kindness and the song.

    I've been listening to this song a lot lately, it's been one of my absolute favourites for years now but now more so than usual, it reminds me of good times and normalcy, of dreams and wanderlust. I'll be practising my pick strumming and palm muting now. Thanks a lot for the tutorial

    Truly an amazing song, watching this makes me realize how much of the other parts of the song can be heard in just the chords played by one guitar.

    "play a C chord, and then stick a little finger on the top string, you have a high thing" :'D i'm friggin howling! and it's pretty much the old Noel G trick, most Oasis tunes use that note and the one directly on the string above. (I play but no nothing with regards to theory or note location XD)

    If you want a real challenge, check out the Wolfgangs Vault video of this from 2011, not sure if Frank drank too much coffee, or someone slipped him some speed or something, but it's a totally different beast.

    strange, reminds me of a time i went to a pub in exeter, met a girl named amy and went back to her house and i slept beside her, she woke up screaming in the middle of the night. not sure why, might just be me

    Thank you for taking the time to do this 👍 can any help with the strumming pattern when the song opens up to the outro sections at about 9.47? Struggling to get this bit of the song perfected, it seems like a simple up/down pattern but doesn’t sound right when I do this

    3 days, 2 blisters and a dead capo later. I can finally manage the hammer on without scewing my right hand rythm. (capo is because stuff tuning in and out of eb)

    in the chorus, when you wrap that thumb for the F are you letting it ring or muting?

    Well not excuse not to give it a go now. Always wondered if the Sleeping Soul of the country is connected to your band's name The Sleeping Souls? Which one came first?

    • @philaeew4866
      @philaeew4866 4 роки тому +2

      As far as I know, the lyrics came first, and the band is indeed named after that line.

    • @JamieNathaniel

      He said on a recent livestream that the lyric of this song is where the band got their name

      While we're on the subject of the lyrics -- is the "Bob" who's driving Bob Dylan?

    • @BaldFred8ter
      @BaldFred8ter 4 роки тому +1

      @@andrewlewis5668 Yeah I think so, he talked about this song on his fairly recent tour where everything was stripped back. Think the Newcastle show just gone on sale.
