+Benjamin Casey I still don't get why some of his videos have so many dislikes. He's not famous enough to receive dislikes "just because his songs are popular", and as you said he's a genuine musician and person, and I can't understand why people would search for his songs (which don't have millions of views or appear on first page) on youtube just to dislike them. I'm from Italy, where only few people know him and so I don't know, maybe there's a particular reason why someone hates him in England.
There are people who dislike him because they think that only people from working class backgrounds should play this sort of music. Seems a stupid reason to dislike someone if you ask me, but there you go.
A line he wrote for another song says that we all have a song for when we're winning and a song for when we're loosing... for me both of those songs have been written by Frank. All the heart ache I've been through can be summed up by his lyrics, brilliant nights with friends where nothing important happened... I run tours/gigs for a living so even Jet Lag strikes me somewhere deep inside... knowing how you can spend life feeling free by being tied to the road, Frank has so much heart and soul!
Frank Turner is awesome! I won my girlfriends heart by learning and playing one of his songs on our second date, totally blew her away. It is her favorite artist and learning that song was all I did for nearly two weeks.
It was Photosynthesis, which now that I know her even better was the perfect choice. I've since learned The Ballad Of Me And My Friends. I want to learn I Still Believe next.
Love Frank Turner - saw him in Norwich a few months ago - tickets booked for 2019. But weird that just over Frank's shoulder I see Eels' Shootenany cover - for which I have tickets on 4 July!!!
52 yr old man and this song makes me cry and I have no idea why
which means: Yer my Age Now ! that I saw This!!!!
Most underrated musician
Saw Frank years ago when he opened for Social D. He is the best. we never miss a show when he's in town.

I love this man and this song with a passion that borders on obsession. I hope he never stops creating such unique and relatable lyrics.

To me, he is Fugazi, and Billy Bragg rolled into one. Not the best comparison, as it doesnt describe him, but its the best i can think of
